It was a different cable as he's had a lot of troubles with wrecking his cables. His normal one works now after everything reset.
The tablet's 3 years old and getting a new battery was an option if it hadn't started working. It's working right now and I've advised him to not let it get totally run down. We'll see how long it lasts.
Picked out a mini for the yellow priest. Is he or isn't he the real head of the cult? The guy on the right.
Every time I try and go paint somebody needs something. In about 15 attempts today I've managed to shuffle a few minis around and prime this guy. On the plus side I'm getting some exercise going up and down the stairs. I need it after a week of laying around sick.
Not much in the way of a story in those modules, though IIRC the D series was much better for that.
FWIW, EHP was a very common abbreviation for Evil High Priest/ess at the time. Almost as common as "MU" for "magic user", IME.
At a guess, its battery had been discharged to the point where the protection circuit on its normal charger had tripped. (Lithium Ion batteries don't like to be either over or under charged, so chargers do this.) When you plugged it into the computer, it was pulling just a bit of power back down the USB cable, which raised the charge to the point where the charger would actually work.
No guarantee that's actually correct, of course. What I know about Li-Ion charging I learned from Big Clive; great source, but scattershot learning on my part.
I'd consider sourcing a new battery for the tablet if it's older.
