  1. Whob, if you wanted help with those heads, I would be more than happy to talk to ya and help ya with the puttywork, send me a PM. I can't wait till you start them, you should post pics. be well, Adam
  2. I agree!! They are really good! Plauge and war look hot.. Hm, methinks the rest of the lords of death are on their way.. Adam
  3. CRINOS ::raises hands over his head and growls: I want some with great burly longbows, and some in armor, with spears or halberds. A scount maybe also, thinner and younger than the rest, with a hood and great curvy knife.. RAR Adam
  4. I agree. They are really nice though, very bright and realistic. Adam
  5. I have an enitre army of 1000 kingdom apes, I got them at gencon for a sweet deal. I would like to see a giant octopus coming out of the water.. Adam
  6. True true. I expect when the rules come out that fire will affect the mummies and such more than other models. It would make perfect sense. I also expect that they will make ladders so your troops can climb up them so I might pummel them properly. All in good fun, someday it would be good to play! Let me know if you are going to any conventions or anything on the east coast, or to Gencon this year, I will try to meet up! Adam
  7. On the same line, a giant gorilla..like giant sized.. mmmmmm ape attack..mmmmm adam
  8. They are a like a bandaged fist of doom.. I have Two spellcasters in the Company, one for healing and one for burning the heck out of whatever gets in my way. It is pretty balanced overall, but if I am going to go up against mages, i would change to throw a couple of dispels in there. Adam
  9. :nodnodnod: I am in agreeance there. I always leave feedback, and when I ship the mini I handwrite a thank you note for every customer, and I encourage them to leave feedback if they liked the work. That usually works. Most people forget though.. Adam
  10. Agreed, the violent sand and eternal evil will swallow the souls of your elves. You shall die parched and windburned, and vultures will eat your bones.. Heh. Adam
  11. I take paypal, MO or Cashier's checks, Paypal, or Western Union for Overseas. Bilpay tends to be a p.i.t.a, and they take a hunk out of it if you are paying that way. A good tip to remember also, is that if you go early to most post offices, they will weigh a package for you for free so you know shipping. If you ever have to ship a large amount of minis, this is important. The first time I had to eat 12.00 extra for shipping, I learned my lesson. Be well, Adam
  12. In replying to Whob's posts about his buddy's elven army, and commenting on how they should be desert elves, that got me to thinking... Jungle elves, like wood elves but much more sinister. With minis like: *Jungle elf Shaman, riding a giant panther *Tropical/Jungle Giant, big un looks like an elf, with a club of course *Jungle elf elite fighter, with claws and a panther hood, kinda aztec. *Pack of trained gorillas, in armor, with spiked helmets *pygmies maybe? Those are my newest thoughts anyway.. Adam
  13. I think Orchid was right, I would do a test bit and see how a teal would look. Though a grey would work too I am going to get out my color wheeel.. Adam
  14. :scoffs: Easy if you are inking. Im only going to ink the troops, everything else is getting blended. Every paint every single wrapping? I like to show off sometimes. I get a chance to with these. Cheers, Adam
  15. I am building an Dunemasters force for myself, and it is pretty much mummies mummies and more mummies. The similar appearence can tie the whole army together, keep the amount of mortals to a minimum. The DHL mummies and tomb guard packs are great, and for giant monsters I plan to use the giant scarabs, or golems, etc. Plus, there is some very cool terrain bits that can be bought, all the Egyptian themed stuff from Reaper is great. I am sure other folks will do it, but I love the undead. I am toying with something I posted on a different part of the forums, but doing Desert Elves, alot of conversions and a little bit of a different swing on elves. Lots of browns and tans and yellow warpaint, djinni and giant lizards, and turbans and maybe an elephant with a howdah. Dunno yet. I usually pick armies with what I will have the most fun painting, and all of these are a good idea until the Lupines come out with some more models.. mmmmmm 1000 lbs of angry fur with sword..mmmmmm Cheers,. Adam
  16. Greets, I am going to use Sir Broderick, Justicar, and drill out his fist that is close to his waist, get a chain or sculpt a leash, and make him a wardog handler. The mini already looks like he could be pulling back on the leash, i can redo the medallion on the dog to match the Crusader symbol as well. Pretty simple conversion, but would look great, and would just count as another Soldier in the game. (Albeit one that just kept very close to him all the time.) What do you think? Adam
  17. See, whob, glad I could help with the ideas! How is your buddy's elves coming along? Those all look pretty cool, maybe get the dwarven ale bucket as a water barrel like Steve mentioned. Maybe you could put those dwarven calvary on lizards instead of bears, like the dewbacks in star wars.. Take some pics, let us know how it goes! Cheers, Adam
  18. Yup, No bones about it. Adam
  19. 82!!!!!!!!!! YES!! YES!! Oh man, I will go just for the weather!! jk Adam
  20. Plain old dwarves??? Do the same if you wanted to! What if there was a dwarven fighting company that specialized in snow combat? You could model them skis or snowshoes? Or maybe desert combat, do some head swaps from some desert looking figs, or perhaps make your own turbans and cloaks from green stuff. Instead of bear calvary put them on giant scarab beetles, or on dire wolves. Let that creativity go, the worst thing someone will say is, "Man, why didn't i think of that???" Cheers~ Adam
  21. Me too, heh. Ghost minis? I just checked them out. The sculpts seem ok, a bit disproportionate at points, the heads are gigantic for some of them. My own opinion on this is do what makes you happy, though I would invest in the quality minis that reaper has out there for you, only because you can use them in tournaments and at Reaper sponsored events if you are playing Warlord. You could use whatever you wanted at home though. I love Reaper minis though, so I am biased. Glad you liked the ideas, be well. Adam
  22. There are plenty of great elven minis, and monsters or creatures that could go with them. The creatures and monsters that make up each faction and the attatched fighting troops won't be out officially for a bit, but here are some ideas to add to yours. I have added the product code so you can check it out at the online store with ease. )Mossbeard the Treeman box set. Great power, and looks very cool with an elf army #10010 )Elven archers of course! DHL army packs, if you are good at converting or modelling, you could pick up the weapons packs and make them sword and shield or spearmen also! #06021, #02455 )Prince Almirith for a warlord, great mini! #14066, or you could have a warlord with a bowman, but remember to put your DH figs on square warlord bases! Here is a pretty cool Elf with a bow that could be a good warlord or captain! Baerwyn, #02735 )Maybe he would want to do a Mercenary company, with alot of elves, and throw in some Lupines for a bit of punch. There is the Lord, Rager and Shaman to pick from.#14030,14031,14032 It is all really up to what kind of force he wants. You could take an elven mage for a warlord, and do alot of archers and magic, or get an melee elf warlord, and go with lots of soldiers for close combat, or a good mix of both. Remember that the rules are still being tested, and if you find something that works really cool, keep track of it and let reaper know! He could also do wood elves, with a treeman for instance, or high elves wtih a griffon or a dragon, or get really creative and do desert elves! Add a Djinn and an air elemental , and make some elven defenders of the sands! Remember you are pretty open to call them whatever you want, as long as teh rules are constant. Anyone have some help for these generals? Adam
  23. I will be there, and I would love to participate!! Thanks, Adam
  24. Get me the parts Herr, I will build it for ya! :grins:: It will cost you some pizza though. Adam
  25. I use the toilet paper way as well, wrapping them till they are tight balls of paper, then putting them in a freezer baggy, and then in a box with packing peanuts. I have not had one break on me yet. Cheers! Adam
