Did a little more so far today: About 5 layers of 25% diluted Blue Liner to the shadows and folds. That helped a lot in my opinion. Then I have one layer of Ice Blue glaze on the highest peaks. Will add a few more.
Then I have some less thinned Ice Blue on some spots of the robe that were black that were edges or close to edges, as well as some edge highlighting.
The raised folds of the arms suffered the most from this whole attempt. But, I’m not of a mind to paint the folds up higher now with less dilute paint, as I’d be starting over with the drops.
In the future, I would paint the coat as if I had no plans on freehand, then add the freehand, with highlights in real time, then it would be easier to go over everything with glazes to bring back more shadows and smooth things over.
