    Demon Pegasus

    Great concept, perfectly painted!

    What?! A Reaper mini

“Peg, have you seen my sword anywhere?” Totally agree she looks like her. Great paint job.

    Father Dagon

No need to Re-Do him! He looks great. If you think you could eventually do better, purchase a new one in a year or two to paint, then compare to this one to see how far you have come!

    Very nice work!

    Shub Niggurath

Awesome paint job. It must have deconstructed your psyche and rebuilt it in its own image.

    Maledrakh's Kobolds 77010 & 77350

    Great groups!

I love that you managed a Hamon on his sword. Great detail.

    77047 Goldar, Male Barbarian

The right leg looks fine. It is quite green. It feels full orc to me. I struggled with the same conundrum: how to make the figure more half orc than full orc. 3rd edition had a lot of gray skinned half orcs, but then Goliaths came along and muddied those waters too. Here is the direction I went: Mixing stone greys into olive greens to get a pale grey-green. It gave me a skin tone I could see as a half orc. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/80540-77047-goldar-male-barbarian/&tab=comments#comment-1708149 If you stay with your current palette, you might try one more highlight layer to differentiate the shadows from the highlights.

    77353: Ursula, Dwarven Bear Rider

Very nice. I like the choice to tie rider and mount together with green.

    77168 BONES Battleguard Golem

Just a quick paint job I did a few months back. I am still trying to learn True Metallic Metal technique. Based on the pictures, I still have learning left to do. There are some dilute black, blue, brown, and flesh colored washes in there. His close up of his face reminds me of Ultron. He is set to be a construct for our Reign of Winter Pathfinder campaign. Enjoy. C&C Welcome, as well as any advice or recipes for TMM would be appreciated.

    06039 Lizardmen with Spears

Thanks. The silver one was my first ever nmm attempt all those years ago. When I finished off the other three I had more experience with the technique. I like the copper and gold better.

I started painting these in 2007! I had received two sets on clearance from a gaming website. I picked them up again briefly in 2011. I had just purchased a bunch of Vallejo Game Colors. I recently picked them up again to get them off the shelf of shame that they seemed to be permanent fixtures of. Sadly, the VGC Paints were not able to salvage. One of them was more done than the others, so he looks a little different. The front right of the first picture. I finished them off quickly with Reaper paints. This was the first time I primed minis white, then built up layers of very thinned basecoats. It made these guys much brighter. Sorry some of the pics are out of focus. I am thinking to do the next set more black/red or more of a realistic lizard scheme. Enjoy.

For him, it was multiple applications of washes of different colors and dilutions. Then at the end I drybrushed the brightest metallic paint on the highest surfaces again. Also, it is a Reaper Metallic Paint triad, I think, with Blackened Steel as the darkest color, and Mithril Silver as the lightest.

Same to you. Thank you for the kind words. I’m always trying to whittle down the shelf of shame.
  19. Hoard of the Dragon Queen Part I of the Tyranny of Dragons Campaign A Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition Campaign by Wolfgang Baur and Steve Winter Published by Wizards of the Coast, and Kobold Press Copyright 2014 For the past several days, you have been traveling a road that winds lazily across the rolling grasslands of the Greenfields. You decided to push on in your travels to try to reach town before dusk. Sundown is approaching when you top a rise and see the town of Greenest just a few short miles away. But instead of the pleasant, welcoming town you expected, you see columns of black smoke rising from burning buildings, running figures that are little more than dots at this distance, and a dark winged shape wheeling low over the keep that rises above the center of the town. Greenest is being attacked by a dragon! Suddenly, a terrified human family consisting of a mother, father, and three young children erupt from the undergrowth onto the Greenway, about 20 feet in front of you. The man limps badly, carrying his youngest child, and trying to usher his other children away from danger. All five seem at least minimally wounded in some way. Their mother turns, and lowers the point of a broken spear back toward her pursuers, and readies her round shield. She looks determined to slow down her pursuers as much as possible to give her family a chance to survive. Just then, a group of eight kobolds stream out of the underbrush, fanning out to surround the woman. Either they don't see your group, or they think you are on their side, because they don't seem to pay you any mind. What do you want to do?

Tyranny of Dragons: Hoard of the Dragon Queen

Sorry, map is a little confusing Dilvish. De is Deckard. The K in front of him was Klaus. It's 6 squares to get into melee with either the drake or K4. It's 11 squares to get into melee with the other Kobolds.

    The Godsmouth Heresy

Janalyth manages to get it open. He then steps back into his usual spot in the marching order, letting Ma'alik back into the front. You see an ornate, ancient sarcophagus about a foot away from the northern wall of this 5 x 7 foot small room. Anyone can attempt a knowledge (arcana OR history) check for some details about it. Also, everyone give me a perception check, and initiative... A strange looking snake clamors to attention at the opening of the door...
