I looked at the videos, I'm familair with the technique. It's more that the Ki'rinn have scales for a body. I did a highlight and shadow but it is too subtle. One is meant to stay in the green range, the other in the purple red range. I could highlight up to yellow and orange respectively. But suppose I use a wash for the shadows, what colour would bring out more definition? I used a black/green wash for the green one. It that too subtle?

A bit of a shame about that wolf. I can't use it like that for my first idea.

Thx, The Koi will get more colour. As for the Ki'rinn, they will get more definition. Any suggestions?

I haven't received my Bones yet, they're still on a cruise. Seeing the Frost Giant Set, I'm also a bit dissapointed about the Wolf. I hope it will look better in real life, because I wanted a big Wolf that I could use as a 54mm Wolf to be a companion for my Mounted Celt from Pegaso. As it is, I think it looks like a toy unfortunately. I do love all the Dino stuff I have seen so far and the Fan favorite pack has some awesome stuff in there. All in all it's good value and I'm happy I backed, althoug if I had been aware of certain changes I might have switched some pledges here an there. Next time I will be more careful about renders indeed.

Thx! Yes getting all those dots and stripes on the right places was a little timeconsuming, but I think it made a difference.

    Brush Questions

For years I painted with brushes form Revell and Citadel. If I had know then that it DOES make a difference if you use good brushes like Raphael, W&N and such I would have bought them sooner. Also tips like using an old brush for drybrushing. A dedicated large brush for terrain etc. Brush care, how to store them keep the ferrule clean, use brush soap etc.

More highlights and shadows on the Ki'rinn Brothers and outlined the freehand on the banner.

More white on the cross. Some shadows on the skin to be glazed and painted over later. Basics of the eyes.
  13. More work on horsies and bases, also painted the plumes in a basecoat for the riders.
