  1. What do people think of maybe doing 03137: Nor'Okk, Ettin 77103: Nor'Okk, Ettin in Bones What do folks think of this? As the Barbarian for our frostgrave warband????
  2. So, It's May the First, Time for a new Hangout Mini! Continuing in our theme of Building a Frostgrave Warband, This Month, our mini is Blacktongue, Gnoll Ranger, 03190 in metal, 77104 in bones. Now I have 20+ of the Old Ral Partha Gnolls in 25mm, so this guy, being much bigger than them, will be a Flind from Fiend Folio... On the other hand, I painted the first of my Partha Gnolls using Ral Partha Mane Yellow, so this guy needs to be different.... Going back to MMI, Gnolls have a Green Grey Fur, so I decided that I would use SC75 Field Grey 38 50% with SC75 SS Camo Shade, mixed with some Nacre mixed 50% with the aforementioned mix as my base coat, as I now tend to paint 'Dark to Light'.... So here he is with the first basecoat... Even though I am doing the metal version, the way his left arm fit into the ball and socket at the elbow, looked best in more the bones pose than the metal..... So Thanks for looking!
  3. So here are the current pics..... Things done since.... GW Bubonic Brown, Kommando Khaki, Bleached Bone, VMC Ivory on the teeth and claws... The Bow Stave and Arrow shafts got MSP Brown Ink Fletchings with SC 75 Sunset Purple Sword Hilt with SC 75 Necro Gold Scabbard and quiver with SC 75 Petroleum Grey, Petroleum Grey and Graphene Grey 50%, then Graphene Grey Belt Bags with SC75 Red Leather, Red Leather and Indian Shadow 50%, Indian Shadow Thanks for looking! Comments and critiques welcome

  6. Apply it with the little applicator brush to the inside of the prosthetic, Put the brush back into the bottle Attach the back part of the thing first as you line it up When it's in the right place push all of the little folds on the inside of your ears.... MAKE SURE YOU TEST FIT EVERYTHING!!!!! before the glue.... Cleaning it off is kind of a pain, kind of like getting rubber cement off.... I actually bought some specialized make up remover to help take the stuff off, but soap and water works about the same.... ONE IMPORTANT THING.... I had forgotten about this last year... I use airbrush body paint, and it comes off easily enough with soap and water but, the body paint sticks to porcelain!!!!! It took a long time to scrub the stuff out with shampoo.... This year I plan on getting some "Scrubbing Bubbles" to clean the tub.....

Right now: Nathvarr Blacktongue 2 minis for my ReaperCon vignette Then I also started 3 terrain projects for Frostgrave, 2 bluefoam and 1 smaller plastic pyramids I also have a bunch of stuff primed, some dating back to the 90s... 23. So, I got quite a few responses when I asked about what people listen to, now I want to know what you READ! I mean we can't always be painting minis, otherwise no one would be filling up the forums with questions and pictures....ETC I am assuming that most folks have read Tolkien, I mean can you be into fantasy minis and games without having read them???? But some others that some people might or might not have read and enjoyed or hated... Heroes Die, By Mathew Woodring Stover. I used to work for B&N, and as my staff recommendation I picked this book with the claim "If you don't like this book, I will buy it back from you out of my own pocket!" I sold a lot of books, NEVER bought one back... The jacket blurb says "Day of the Jackal meats Lord of the Rings!" Believe it! Three Hearts and Three Lions, By Poul Anderson Just finished it for the Nth time, great book Thieves World, Edited by Robert Aspirin This is a 12 book shared universe series. Chaosium Games made a multi game supplement based on the first 1 or 2 books. The cover art of the first books is AWESOME! The Eternal Champion Cycle, By Michael Moorcock This includes Erekose, Elric, Corum, Hawkmoon, etc Really something every fantasy buff should read.... MM also writes music with Blue Oyster Cult, and has /had a band called Hawkwind. A very nice British Gentleman! Name of the Wind, By Patrick Rothfuss The best new fantasy author to come along in a very long time! Read it, and the sequel, "A Wise Man's Fears" Jack of Shadows, By Roger Zelazny Most folks have read about Amber, This book is as good as the original Ambers... I will add more as I find time... Gotta paint now! 8) George
