  3. Just passed $50K, which unlocked not one but TWO Stretch Goals! Even better, the next Stretch Goal is pretty darn cool: Decades ago, when the game of D&D was young, a man named Dennis Sustare created a class that lives on to this day: the Druid. Indeed, Gary Gygax was not the creator of the druid class, but we have good news. Dennis Sustare has agreed to join us in creating brand-new spells, items, and even a new subclass for the 5th edition druid. New druid material by the guy who created the class for D&D? Only the mystical forest can hold such wonders. We want to make this happen, but we can only do it with your support. Help us break through to this mind-bogglingly cool stretch goal! 850 backers and counting!! $55 Stretch Goal reached!! Dennis Sustare, creator of the original Druid class, is creating brand-new spells, items, and even a new subclass for the 5th edition druid. Learn more from the man himself! 4. Any word on the CHAOS WOLF box? It was sent out on 9/22 but I don’t think there’s been any word since then ...
  5. Yeah, I think I'd rather concentrate on getting the box from one eager person to the next :)
  6. Super excited!!! OK, my preferences, for what it's worth ... :) As I mentioned before, I'm 100% Bones, so I will be leaving any metal in the box for the next person. I'm also not very interested in the sci fi or modern minis. I'm an All Bones, All Fantasy kind of guy! :)
  7. Oh, I saw someone post this and didn't realize we could make requests like this: So ... if there is a box that will be mostly Bones, could you put me on that circuit? I don't have any metal, and have no interest in metal. Thanks!
  8. Excited to give this a try! USA based (Pennsylvania) I'd like to stay domestic I'd rather not be a box starter
  9. Is it up yet? Is it up yet? Is it up yet? Is it up yet? Is it up yet? Is it up yet? Is it up yet? Is it up yet? (Nope, I'm not excited at all :)
  10. Awesome news! Looking forward to taking part!
  11. So .... when does the next one start up?
  12. Just checking in ... anything new on the next Box of Goodwill yet?
  13. Out of curiosity, is the box still with someone who has not sent it out yet, or was it shipped and possibly lost in transit? Speaking purely from the selfish place of someone that is really excited to get in on one of these for the first time, it would be a real bummer if this situation holds up the launch of a new Box of Goodwill :(
  14. Maybe someone can point the esteemed Chaoswolf to this thread?
  15. I’d love to get in on the next one!!

    Brush Storage

In a different thread in this forum, there is a discussion about best ways to properly dry your brushes. In that thread, Doug Sundseth mentioned storing brushes in a brush box or case, and then elaborated on some different types of brush storage. That got me thinking ... as I mentioned in the other thread, I haven’t started painting yet (schedule doesn’t allow it yet, but hopefully soon!). I have purchased all my stuff though, but I never thought about something this - right now my brushes are still in the packaging, but I hadn’t really thought about the best way to store them once I actually start painting ... So, I'm curious how folks store their brushes between painting sessions. In a paint cup of some kind, an actual brush case or box, in one of those roll-up caddies, something else? Thanks!
  17. Oh! OK, got it! Awesome - I'd love to get in on it then! :)
  18. Ah, OK, got it. I was thinking this was more about actual bases, as opposed to the material needed to make them. Any chance there might be one of these more open to swapping actual resin bases and such? I'd love to get in on one like that! Thanks!!!

How to properly dry a brush

Really interesting thread! I haven’t started painting yet (schedule doesn’t allow it yet, but hopefully soon!). I have purchased all my stuff though. I’m currious about the ‘decent brush carrier’ you mentioned. Can you elaborate? I never thought about something like this - right now my brushes are still in the packaging, but I hadn’t really thought about the best way to store them once I actually start painting ...
  20. Hey everyone, I've never done one of these before, but I might want to get involved if possible (and it's not too late) I have a bunch of resin bases of various sizes from various companies (WarGamma, DemonScape, TableTop Arts, Dark Arts, etc.) I could contribute. Can I get some details on how this works and if it's possible to still get involved? Thanks!!!
  21. Hey everyone, I know I have a couple threads I started recently asking for opinions of various companies making resin bases. Well, I decided to find out for myself :) I went a bit nuts and ordered a 25 mm set of bases each from a bunch of different companies (some that were recommended here, and others that got good reviews on YouTube etc.) Once they all arrive (which might take a little while, since some of these were ordered directly from the company, which in some cases are in Europe) I'll post pictures and offer my opinions, review and comparison on them all. For now, here's what I have coming so far. I have my eye on bases from a couple other companies as well (Daemonscape, WarGamma, DragonForge, and Kromlech / Bits of War) I'll probably order them in the next week or so. If / when I do, I'll add them here ... Resin Bases Ordered (all are 25 mm round bases) Dark Art Miniatures - Tomb Elrik's Hobbies - Cobblestone Road Micro Art Studio - Ancient Secret Weapon Miniatures - Ruined Temple Tabletop Art Miniatures - Stone Floor Scibor Monstrous Miniatures - Celtic Ruins WarGamma - Tortured Lands Daemonscape - Skull and Alien infestation
  22. OK, the bases are starting to arrive which is pretty exciting! The first thing I'm noticing is the difference in resin color from company to company (which, I assume, has to do with different resin mixtures etc) Here are the 8 companies I've ordered from - are there any other companies known for resin bases I should order from? If not, we'll stick to the 8 companies listed below: Dark Art Miniatures Elrik's Hobbies Micro Art Studio Secret Weapon Miniatures Tabletop Art Miniatures Scibor Monstrous Miniatures WarGamma Daemonscape
