    Frostgrave sigilist wizard

Very strong-willed of you to do something other than the "official" green colour scheme!

Gytha Ogg. Best cook and "ahem" friendly company.

Randomness XV: 'tis a silly place.

All joking aside, it does sound as if the Great Lakes area is experiencing truly awful conditions. Fingers crossed for all of you who may be affected.

I seem to remember some episodes of "Knights of the Dinner Table" with this sort of misunderstanding...

As another mild, late onset diabetic I entirely agree with this. A little gentle exercise everyday will help you far more than anything else. The very sensible doctor that I see says that a major cause of high blood-sugar levels is... worrying about high blood-sugar levels.

Regrettably no. Charming although most of the Philippino crew I work with are, some of them will eat ANYTHING...

Not sure who I can blame (genetically speaking), but I have managed the clever trick of being incredibly long-sighted in my right eye and utterly short-sighted in the left one. The net result is that, whatever glasses I wear, I always look like this:

@buglips*the*goblin That looks like some serious D-Day plans...

Anyone play 7TV from Crooked Dice?

Yes, I play a bit of this. The figures are very good quality and the rules are unusual. Instead of being a wargame players are meant to think of each game as a television episode. You are very much encouraged to act "in character" and be a dastardly villain or plucky hero. If you can find an opponent who can enter into the spirit of this the games are very entertaining. Crooked Dice recently finished a kickstarter for an apocalyptic future game (again, there are many references to TV programmes): https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1039850061/7tv-apocalypse-skirmish-rules-and-28mm-miniatures?ref=discovery I'm not sure if it is still possible to late-back this, but it would be a good way to start if you are interested in their products.

One of the benefits of being in the Merchant Navy is that I am exempt from Jury Service. So I'll probably get called the day I retire. My wife got called in the mid 1990's for jury service in a smuggling case (aka "VAT fraud" in UK.) It lasted 9 MONTHS. It didn't do either of us any good for peace of mind.

Another Terry Pratchett story: Before he started his career as a novelist TP was a Public Relations agent for British Nuclear Fuels. He has said that on many occasions he would get a telephone call from a site manager at about 2 O'clock in the morning who would nervously say: "Now you're going to laugh when I tell you this..."

That shows a degree of forethought and planning that leaves me in awe. And they have all been excellent, enjoyable questions.

"The Mask" Three excellent graphic novels. (Followed by a half a dozen more that gradually became pointless.) A film that was the only good thing Jim Carey ever did. (Plus a sequel that I refuse to admit even exist.) Total besottedness for Cameron Diaz. "Smokin'!"

Canned Haggis can be OK, you slice it and grill it. The trick is to find some way of keeping it moist while it cooks. Burnt haggis is disgusting.

A real whole haggis, freshly cooked, will look like this: The interior is quite granular with the minced meat and cooked barley readily distinguishable. And yes, that is a sheeps stomach it has been cooked in. You are NOT obliged to eat it...

"Mild sausage"? This is almost sacrilege. Whose make? A proper haggis has a LOT of spice in it. Try looking for some made by a company called McSween.
  19. A follow up to this on Wargames News and Terrain: "The Frostgrave Wizards hard plastic set will consists of two sprues with 4 male bodies plus lots of arms and equipment, due out in February. An equivalent female set will follow swiftly." Only 8 figures in a box. Curious about the price.

I've just remembered that I have a T-shirt with this on it; Also this: Both bought in Florida. I was standing outside a sportswear shop, laughing so hard at some of the slogans that the store-owner came out side and offered me $5 per hour to stay there as good advertising!
