    Legends of Signum

On their own website? That's interesting.

    Legends of Signum

Good to know. I was a backer of Return of the Dragon (also only in for a few figures) and nobody ever told me anything about who filed the IP claim (although I had my suspicions).

    Hasslefree Miniatures kickstarter

I trust it was worth the wait.

Limbo: Eternal War - June 2018

10th? I'll be looking forwards to it.

    Legends of Signum

The interesting thing will be waiting to see how the Confrontation backers respond to this latest development.

    Legends of Signum

It's actually impressive that they didn't lose more. They've got a lot of faithful backers (myself included).

    Feral Elves by Westfalia

Got to love the Lone Wolf miniature. I might back just for that one fig alone.

    Zealot Miniatures Minotaurs

My little group of adventurers arrived in the post today. Everything's good apart from the elf's arrow which somehow broke in the post.

Limbo: Eternal War - June 2018

I have an old human miniature that is about 20-25mm tall. When he starts to look the same size as the dwarfs and gnomes then I have scale issues. Admittedly I don't use him very often but scale creep is a thing. I don't mind having size differences (smaller humans, taller humans etc) but when the dwarfs are ogre sized that's a problem. Generally when purchasing a miniature a major consideration for me is how many different games I can sue it in. It's not the only reason 'though. If it's really good then I'll still buy it :).

Raging Heroes: Dark Elves and Sisters

Trollcast. Now there's a name that makes me shudder at the memory. So grainy & rigid.

Limbo: Eternal War - June 2018

Spotted on another forum. Has anyone posted these pictures here yet? I don't think so.

Raging Heroes: Dark Elves and Sisters

It's remarkable how so many people on this forum hate what they got from the Raging Heroes TGG and TGG2 campaigns. OWhen I look at other places on the internet I don't see as much negativity regarding them. Now my first wave stuff had flaws. I'm well aware of that. The later stuff is much better. Personally I'm willing to wait and see what they have to offer next (although if they couldn't tell that people saying they wanted top quality scenery that was also dead cheap didn't mean Cardboard Scenery then maybe I should re-evaluate my opinions of them somewhat).

    Still watching enthusiastically.

    Confrontation: Classic

There were some diehard Confrontation fans spewing hostility and negativity in the Legends of Signum kickstarter comments for the first few days (days 2-4). They eased off after an initial attack. I can't say how many of the people asking questions about what material the miniatures would be made of in the Confrontation comments section were innocent inquiries or related to Cadwallon at all.

    Hasslefree Miniatures kickstarter

Well at least you know it's nearby.

Raging Heroes: Dark Elves and Sisters

I actually got some new Davidians. Different new sprues. Not a single bent sword hilt. The original sword hilts were all bent.

Limbo: Eternal War - June 2018

I'll be patiently watching this thread. Also, does anyone else think the big bone golem king looks a little bit like Grave Lord Neeto from Dark Souls?

    Confrontation: Classic

Personally I think both sides have got their hands dirty and they're both not making it any better for themselves with this mud slinging contest.

    Confrontation: Classic

You know, they had to rationalise unlocking all those stretch goals for free somehow. I hope this wasn't their big gamble.

    Confrontation: Classic

Probably their only chance to fund half those panic stretch goals they unlocked. well, that and the fact that they';re selling the master sculpts (not master casts) for all the Confrontation miniatures that didn't feature in the kickstarter campaign on the Stellar Licensing site for $700-$1,700 (with no mention of selling production rights). Selling off the master sculpts (not master casts) mean they won't be planning on reproducing any of these miniatures in the future. It all looks way too much like a quick cash grab to me.

    Legends of Signum

This claim was apparently placed on the 9th so while the timing might look suspicious it could be coincidental.

    Legends of Signum

Sooooo.... In the Confrontation comments section one of the French speaking backers has proudly provided a link to a webpage bearing this information (which apparently does not like to be copied & pasted). It looks like we all called it correct. They must be desperate for money as their project did not do as well as they'd hoped.

    Legends of Signum

While the basis for the claim is probably the look of the miniatures I'm intrigued to ponder what other aspects of the project could be claimed. It uses cards, miniatures & dice. It uses a game board rather than an open playing area. Are the card mechanics too similar to another game? I'm also interested to know the motivation behind this claim. Whether it was genuinely someone trying to protect their interest or if they were primarily trying to damage another company's chances. Okay, so it seems someone is claiming that some of the Signum sculpts are based on old un-used Confrontation concept art. Someone calling themself Adrian Smith. Not sure if it's the Adrian Smith who's done loads of art for Games Workshop over the years or someone else. My money's on someone else.
