    Oak & Iron

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/firelockgames/oak-and-iron?ref=profile_starred “The enemy fleet brings its guns to bear as your captains await your command. Yet you hold your course even as fear threatens to test your mettle. You know the broadside you are poised to receive will be returned in kind, and with a single cunning maneuver your fleet will gain the weather gauge. The wooden behemoths creak and groan as the wind pushes them into position. With one sharp word the sky blackens with the smoke of canon fire. The battle begins!” Oak & Iron is a 1/600th scale naval game set in the age of piracy, imperial expansion, and above all - fighting sail. It allows players to recreate battles between squadrons and small fleets of armed sailing ships. The game is designed to be true to the theme and tactics of the period while supplying significant flavor for the various factions. Players of Oak & Iron can expect to find all the usual design hallmarks fans of Firelock Games have come to know and love: innovative rules, historical integrity, and beautiful models. The starting point for the game is the Oak & Iron: Core Box below. We have included everything that you will need to play right out of this box, including six starting factions and a large amount of customization options for your squadrons and individual ships. We have done our best to add as much stuff to the Core Box as we could, but larger orders with manufacturers means less cost. A savings which we in-turn pass on to our backers through stretch goals. With this Kickstarter, our hope is to add an even greater value to the Core Box over the course of this campaign and launch a game that we will support with new releases for years to come.
  2. This is not the normal gaming related stuff shown here, but I thought some of you might be interested (and moreover I really like the books) so here is a different sort of kickstarter for you to look at or ignore https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1434349549/magical-romantic-comedies-with-a-body-count-in-har?ref=user_menu basically the books are written and available as ebooks (and at least initially on publication as paperbacks), but to make them available as hardcovers isn't in the authors budget at present hence the KS amongst the pledges you can pick up a full set of the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) as ebooks (10 books) [I recommend these] or as signed paperbacks (50 sets only) or as signed hardbacks (25 sets & 25 numbered sets only) or even, if you're already a fan with deep pockets the original hand written copy of "Whatever for Hire".

Sword & Sorcery - Ancient Chronicles

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ares-games/sword-and-sorcery-ancient-chronicles/description I backed the predecessor and I feel it was a mixed bag. They are very quick to mention "retail price" to show what an awesome deal KS is, but I find their "retail price" very optimistic, I'd never pay that for what is on offer in a shop. The fact that I could buy the game in shops before backers got theirs (and I'm not talking about one or two weeks) also did not sit well with me, especially as the real shop prices were very close to KS prices (including free shipping). I found the game / rules decent and the miniatures again a mixed bag. Some (especially the heroes) were quite nice, but the enemies often had such thin plastic parts (weapons for example) that no amount of hot water tricks could get and keep them straight and sometimes very blurry detail. To me the minis were definitely not as good as CMON Blood Rage or Rising Sun, for example (which admittedly are some of the best board game minis I've seen) The idea of casting enemies in different color to show their difficulty level might not be bad, but painting over dark violet / red / green / blue (of course using primer) is something I dislike. I also do not like that you only have one pledge level here ($120 - which is more than shown above in the picture) and it contains things that you already have as a previous backer ... meaning you pay for them again. That being said, a number of interesting looking minis, especially enemies ... and probably lots of more to come.

    Barbaric Splendor 2

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1327314385/barbaric-splendor-kickstarter-two-ophidian-menace/description Just saw this. Warning for snake woman nudity. About Barbaric Splendor Kickstarter Two: Ophidian Menace offers serpentman warriors for your wargame, skirmish game, RPG, or simply to paint and collect. These miniatures are not new - they are already sculpted and molds are already made. They were sculpted by Nicolas Genovese of Blood Moon Miniatures, who has made a special offer to Barbaric Splendor Miniatures. This Kickstarter will, if successful, fund this purchase and casting of the required amount of miniatures. I am offering the miniatures at a reduced price from their planned retail price to help facilitate this process. This will be a short Kickstarter, with the only goal to add these miniatures to the Barbaric Splendor line. If need be, I do have a stretch goal planned, but do not wish to make this a complicated project so it will not grow beyond that. These will be the start of an extensive line of serpentmen - both the serpentmen, who have human bodies and legs with snake heads (much like those in the fiction of Robert E Howard) and the primeval serpentmen who have snake bodies and human torsos with snake heads.

    Ondu III PInhole camera

ww.kickstarter.com/projects/ondu-/ondu-iii-pinhole-cameras-perfect-shutter-snap-on-f About Imagine a camera with no lens, no focus, no mirror and definitely no batteries that can create images like this. No need to imagine anymore, it is here. This will change the way you think about light, time and memories. We have created the ONDU pinhole camera series MK III to reignite your spark in photography, and most of all to enable you to create captivating images with light in the simplest way possible. There's a lot of nice pictures on the project page. Enjoy them, then back the project. I own the very limited edition 'Box' from the first KS(less than 20 were made), and the 6x17 OnduRama from the second KS, and both are very nice cameras. They did have issues that caused delays back then(with getting the machinery delivered and so on), but they were pretty good at keeping backers updated. But now they have all the machines in the workshop, so I expect there won't be any big delays this time Necessary disclaimer; they considered me so helpful in the comments section that they gave me a 135 pocket camera as a bonus. so yeah, I may not necessarily be completely impartial.

Archon Studio (LOAD, Vanguard of War, Chronicle X) are branching into modular terrain. The project is now Live: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1915792245/1614419087?ref=6j5c5t&token=15b18208 Apparently it is "full plastic injection" so not the same as their minis. The concept seems interesting, but the preview page is far from finished, so it's hard to get a good grasp on prices (one "Starter Pledge" for $49 is all they currently have listed, along with a $20 add on). The whole magnetized modular wall system looks like it could have potential.

    Dungeon Universalis

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/598470884/dungeon-universalis/comments About Do you like classic dungeon crawlers? Fed up with far too complex dungeon crawlers that have no replayability at all? Tired of games which are predictable and have limited options? Sad about those miniatures left on the shelf that you can never use? Fed up with playing the game master? With having to learn tons of rules and spend hours creating quests just to be a narrator who rolls dice from time to time? Say ENOUGH!! and dare to play Dungeon Universalis. Would you like to play a cunning goblin with a giant rat as a pet? Or rather a seasoned ogre hardened by a thousand battles? Maybe a female elvish paladin? A reptilian warrior monk? A human bard? Are you searching for adventure? Are you willing to explore dozens of dungeon scenarios even if the chances of survival are uncertain? Would you like to design your own character among hundreds of options in a quick, easy way? Are you looking for a game system which allows you to use all your miniatures as well as other elements such as dungeon tiles and fantasy books? Do you like tactical combats? Are you searching for a narrative campaign and dozens of pre-designed quests with a perfectly balanced, scalable difficulty? If you answer to some of these questions is YES then… 145 standees in the picture. More than 230 in the box. WHAT IS DUN? Dungeon Universalis (DUN), created by Óscar Bribián, is a classic Dungeon Crawler board game for 1 to 6 players. DUN´s system merges its intuitive mechanics, card games and the almost unlimited possibilities and options of a RPG. DUN also includes a huge narrative campaign (with a sandbox map) and several independent quests. It also allows you to design your own quests or simply to use its rulebook, system and cards to replay missions, quests, tiles and miniatures from other Dungeon Crawlers. In other words: Dungeon Universalis is many games and one at the same time. In DUN you will find many different competitive or cooperative game modes, a Dark Player who may be an omniscient one (just like a classic RPG master) or simply one more player competing against the heroes, with a scalable difficulty according to the player´s level. Dungeon Universalis tiles Play with our tiles or in 3D dungeon Dungeon Universalis is a game for 1-6 players, aged 12 and up. The approximate playing time ranges from 60 to 180 minutes depending on the length and difficulty of the quest. Easy to play. Large tactical depth. The simplicity and exploration of a dungeon crawler. The options of a RPG. The balance of a skirmish wargame. EXPLORATION IS REAL The halls and corridors are revealed as players enter new areas. Traps and obstacles don´t have any fixed locations, which makes the game highly replayable. A LONG, OPEN CAMPAIGN The game includes a narrative campaign with a huge sandbox map, based in Arasca. The continent of Arasca and its Mythology are part of the novel Raazbal, written by the game´s creator and published in 2010. The author has won several literary awards and published a number of novels. One of them is the epic- fantasy novel Raazbal. All of this gives credit of his experience as a narrator. You can find many reviews of his literary works on websites and newspapers. You can read the first 10 chapters of the novel here: Raazbal (published in Spanish). REPLAYABILITY Each quest may be played several times, since the enemies may vary (the bestiary includes more than 400 different creatures) and appear in different places. Besides, traps, obstacles and other elements may vary too and have no fixed positions. TACTICAL DUN´s combats are highly tactical. There are no better or worse weapons. However, some of them are more adequate than others depending on the circumstances. Players may knock down and push enemies, disengage out of combat, set up ambushes... SEVERAL GAME MODES It is one game system that presents many different game modes: -Standard mode with a Dark Player: The Dark Player is one more player who competes against the other players. In this mode some quests have an undefined length and finish when the quest´s goal is achieved. Others have a settled number of turns assigned. Players may gain experience which improves their attributes and skills according to the cooperative achievements of the players´group. -Individual mode: players gain experience according to their individual achievements. -Cooperative mode: a 100% cooperative game, without a Dark Player. -Lone-wolf mode: only one player. -RPG mode: the Dark Player is omniscient (just like a classical RPG master). -Open-map mode: rules for scenarios without a gridded floor. The following list has everything initially included in the base game.

    Volfyirion

This is an unusual looking concept: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tabulagames/volfyirion It's a modestly priced deck building card game (€9) that has an optional dragon which costs €18 by itself. 21. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/554542735/greenskin-wars-the-iron-orcs-and-bulbus-peppernose?ref=discovery About The campaign purpose. The purpose of this campaign is to get the funds to produce these new miniatures and also expand the Greenskin Wars range with new models and allies for them. Material: All the miniatures are made of lead free metal and are supplied unassembled, unpainted and without bases (bases can be supplied at request for a small extra cost) I decided not to include bases because there's a wide variety of clients who want square bases for regiments , some round or hex for skirmish games... so we better avoid the extra cost of adding bases that you might not use in the end. This is a very durable material able to keep very sharp detail, but while I check every order personally before sending, keep in mind the copies are not "perfect" and some complex or multipart models might need some pinning, cleaning or small adjustments. Most of this HUGE range of greenskins and related creatures are sculpted by the legendary ex GW sculptor Kevin Adams, who has an awesome taste for these kind of creatures. Iron Orcs: The first Iron Orc boss was released more than 2 years ago as a single character, but he left the door open for the future... and today he will finally meet his slaughter mates! The Iron Orcs are massive orc brutes wearing heavy and nasty armours full of spikes, horns and basically anything they can add to their weaponry to be more lethal and dangerous. They are bigger and bulkier than regular orcs, also has a darker skin colour, and the combination of the dark skin and the heavy armours is what make the other greenskins call them "Iron Orcs" because while charging into combat they really look like and iron unstoppable juggernaut! Take a closer look at these beasts! If you didn't get the first Iron Orc boss yet, here's a great chance to get him with the new ones for a very nice fixed price!! This "Full" squad include the first released Iron Orc Boss miniature. For those of you who don't know the "original" Iron Orc boss, here's a pic of him: Original Iron Orc boss Bulbus Peppernose & Warband: Bulbus is a goblin hero who has reach a respectable fame amongst the other goblins. He and his warband looks very peculiar and unique because of the heavy and very hornated helmets and pieces of armour they use. Detail of the Pepernose fellas!
  22. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/472864431/interdimensional-creatures-vol-2-resin-miniatures?ref=discovery About Hi everyone! My name is Ismael Prieto (freelance sculptor) and I welcome you to my personal project "Interdimensional Creatures Vol.2", my second project of another dimension. As some of you already know, I'm a big fan of monsters and terrifying creatures that remind us of those novels, stories and movies from the 80s that were part of our childhood. The past year, the project: "Interdimensional Creatures Vol.1" was made possible thanks to you. I have decided to continue with a new volume, offering, as always, better quality and better works for your games and collection. If you have not seen the previous project, you can visit the following link: Interdimensional Creatures Vol.1 PROJECT Below, I show you one of the most fun and important stages that I made in order to start with the project: The sketches. In my work, I use high quality putty from well-known brands. On this occasion I couldn't resist using Beesputty clay by Stefan Niehues-Ellermann to model these creatures. This clay is my favorite friend when it comes to modeling! My personal vision about terrifying monsters from another dimension continue in this campaign for you. The miniatures, stretch goals and add-ons of this project only will be available through Kickstarter.
  23. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cerberusstudios/cerberus-studios-mortals-reckoning-resin-miniature?ref=discovery About The stage has been set, now the rest of the players can begin to emerge... The Cerberus Team are delighted to introduce a new range of richly designed and highly detailed characters. Following the success of our first Kickstarter, we would like to welcome you to join us on a new adventure. Our second wave of miniatures delves deeper into our storyline, continuing on from the models from our original cast. Mortals’ Reckoning sees the action of one man, Lazarus, start a chain of events that puts the mortals back in charge of their own fates. The characters below are linked to two of our main villains, The Kyrios and The Slaver. But rest assured each new personality is a power house in their own right... 24. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1328919671/mykelings-3-graveborn-horror-themed-mushroom-men?ref=discovery About After 2 popular Mykelings Kickstarter campaigns, which delivered 18 unique Mykeling models, this project aims to put a further 9 Mykelings into resin and metal production, along with some Halloween-themed add-ons. Mykelings are a fungus-based species, though they often look and act like other humanoids. These miniatures are designed to be used in tabletop and roleplay games. Aimed at the 28mm scale range, they stand aside other miniature ranges of a similar nature. This particular project delves into the darker side of the Mykelings. The new models offered at project launch are 2 new rings of Mykelings. A varied selection of add-ons are available as stretch goals, should the project fund. This includes the following (and many more!)
