The World of the Lost Lands

About The Origins of the Lost Lands For almost 20 years, glimpses into the world of the Lost Lands have been revealed in the publications of Frog God Games and Necromancer Games. The Lost Lands contain locations now legendary in the annals of roleplaying, from the depths of the massive dungeons of Rappan Athuk, to the city of Bard’s Gate, the Desolation of Tsar, the Blight, the demon-tainted Sundered Lands, the chaotic tumult of the Borderland Provinces, and the fabled Northlands. These publications offered hints of the sweeping scope, deep history, and epic grandeur of the Lost Lands. But only hints. For well over a decade, a Lost Lands campaign world has been our customers' most requested project... ...and the time of the Lost Lands has now arrived! The Primary Reward Over 42 years in the making, this is the definitive guide to the world of the Lost Lands! This massive volume includes the history of the Lost Lands, a wealth of detailed maps, cultural information about its nations and peoples, and a huge gazetteer containing descriptions of the world's countries, cities, waterways and geography. For the first time, readers can explore the length and breadth of the great continent of Akados, including regions never before described, and far Libynos, home of the Desert Kingdoms and many ancient cultures alien to the folk of Akados. The book weighs in at approximately 700 pages in full color, with maps by award-winning cartographers and beautiful, original artwork to place you directly into the world itself in all its glory and terror. Entirely system-neutral, the guide can be used with any game system you choose. The Lost Lands are the setting for a tremendous array of over 150 individual adventures and sourcebooks already published by Frog God Games and Necromancer Games, many providing statistics in multiple game systems. All of this material is available to provide an almost inexhaustible resource of ready-made adventures and epic quests! Future Frog God Games products set in the Lost Lands will be built into the ever-growing canon finally revealed in this volume. About 4000 example pages of Lost Lands Adventures Pictured Above A small sample of some of these already-existing adventures include Rappan Athuk, Sword of Air, Slumbering Tsar, Bard's Gate, Necropolis, Cyclopean Deeps, The Borderland Provinces, The Blight, and Cults of the Sundered Kingdoms. Authors of adventures which have, over two decades, explored the Lost Lands include Clark Peterson, Ed Greenwood, Bill Webb, Gary Gygax, Matt Finch, Jim Ward, Morten Braten, Jeff Harkness, John Stater, Bill Kenower, Nate Paul, Dennis Sustare, and Alex Kammer. The authors of the guide to the Lost Lands include Bill Webb, Greg Vaughan, Matt Finch, Vicki Potter, Pat Lawinger, Anthony Pryor, Rhiannon Louve, Mark Greenberg, Ken Spencer, Casey Christofferson, and Thom Wilson. Shipping International shipping on a book this size may be quite expensive. If you are a non-US customer, please read the shipping information below. We anticipate shipping to be $80 to $100 for most countries, and could even be more. Shipping for the tapestries (and only the tapestries) is calculated into their price for Canada, the UK, the EU, and Australia. The Lost Lands

  3. I’m interested in what people here think of this. It seems like a great idea, but I’m wondering if there might be some unforeseen drawbacks. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/atlasmundi/immersive-battle-maps-for-tabletop-roleplaying-gam/description -

    Black Hallows Townsfolk II

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/147900702/black-hallows-townsfolk-ii About Welcome to our second Black Hallows Kickstarter campaign. With the lead up to the main game later this year, we are now expanding the range and have the following on offer. 28mm, 32mm and 75mm character miniatures Horses & carts The first two buildings for the world of Black Hallows (the first of many) The Black Hallows: Cradle of Darkness novel RPG content ...and of course, there are many stretch goals to unlock during the campaign. Early Backers Special FREE Model - The iron cage - Limited to the first 300 main pledges only i.e. The Townsfolk II pledge or the Tavern Pledge or above. (£45 or more) Welcome to the world of Black Hallows on this bitterly cold night, the wind is howling outside "The Boar's Head" tavern, the horses are restless in the stables, and a figure moves in the shadows...is it friend or foe? The Townsfolk are sleeping soundly in their beds, unaware of the danger that may be creeping towards them. The clouds race across the sky, and the wind continues to howl. The Townsfolk II is the second set in a range of non-player character miniatures, crafted from the highest grade, lead free Pewter (This quality of metal is normally only used for masters). They are available in either 28mm or 32mm and will come with their own base toppers and plastic bases. They are ideal for use in role playing games like D&D, Pathfinder, etc. Use them in your war games or collect and paint them for display. 28mm miniatures have 25mm plastic bases and 32mm miniatures have 32mm plastic bases. We are also offering any of the characters in a 75mm resin version (see below). 75mm resin versions have a cast resin plinth. We will be using Backerkit as our pledge manager after the campaign ends. If you wish to pledge for add-ons, add the funds to your main pledge on Kickstarter and then inform us of your choice using the pledge manager. Let us introduce you to the characters in the Townsfolk II. Gazamunder is the town's resident rat catcher; with him the only thing you can ever be sure of is that you can never be sure of him. Need information? It's yours at a price. Need information that's actually true? It'll cost you twice as much. Plookes, his faithful ratter, is the only living soul that he cares about. Yarog's life has been an interesting one and if he could be persuaded to speak of it, the tales would certainly entertain the travelers that stop at the Boar's Head. He was raised in the far north, to a clan famed for their engineering prowess, destined to one day be their leader. However, Yarog always knew he wanted something different from life, something that he could get his teeth into. He left the safety and tradition of home and set off to find adventure and a really good recipe for tripe. Garot the Butcher, cold and unfeeling, like the carcasses that surround him. Butchery comes naturally to him and at times he enjoys his job a little too much. Hacking and slashing with relish, no wonder the other townsfolk only visit his shop in pairs! Mace & Ridley live by the saying "They who drink beer will think beer!" and as the towns only brewers, they take their work very seriously and do a lot of "thinking".Which explains the slightly glazed expression, the unsteadiness of balance and the bouts of raucous singing. No one quite knows how they make a living from brewing their famous ale, but they're never short of cash, even when they do appear to drink all the profit! The fine silks, sumptuous linens, and exotic velvet speak of wealth and power and Nikolai Magnus cultivates the illusion of being a successful textile merchant very well, but everyone knows cloth isn't the real source of his income. He is a loan shark of the most cold-blooded type. You wouldn't think it to look at him, sat hunched on his cart, but there's a lot more to Rawkin than meets the eye. There aren't many places he hasn't been and there's not much he hasn't seen or done. He knows pretty much every living being on the dirt roads from here to where the soil becomes the sea. Add-Ons: The Hero Characters £6 (Each) Kindra Whispersong was called to service by her God as a young girl. The divine magic that glows in her eyes and the powers that accompany it, has led her into many adventures and battles that most of the townsfolk could never imagine. She never speaks of her quest; that is between her and her deity. The tranquil, dignified air of Awyn Moonbinder only hints at the power, the energy and the skill that lies beneath his tanned skin and within his toned muscles. His spiritual training allows him to harness the power of the Hallows. He is a unique being, born on the furthest plains. Maybe that is why he feels at home as a lone wanderer, only ever passing through the village when he's returning to the monastery. Gulm, though his distinctively Orkish features cause many to shy away from him, he was raised by a loving human mother and like the stone he works, the sharp edges of his Ork personality have been smoothed. His strength and savagery are channeled through the tools he uses, making him the most sought after stonemason in the town.
  7. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cmon/munchkin-dungeon/posts/2400492 Couldn't find a post on this... Minis look cool, in keeping with Kovalic's art, and the feel is right. Just not sure I need a mini-based version of Munchkin on top of the few I already have. Price seems reasonable though it is another CMON project and I'm still waiting for "Zombicide in Space", a project on which there has been very little communication.

    MOMminiaturas: Mercenaries

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/84134537/momminiaturas-mercenaries?ref=hero_thanks Base pack (early bird) is about $28 (for resin minis!) lots of stretch goals adding minis to that base pack (at the moment, there are five (!) more minis in the above pack), lots of add-ons at a price that's too good to be true ... so I think I'll be a bit careful (especially since my experience with resin KS is not good). etc ... Anybody heard of this Spanish company?
  13. So the new Artis Opus KS is live. It can be found here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/artis-opus/artis-opus-series-m-brush-set Be curious what people's opinions are on the "smaller" brushes they are doing here. I've always been taught go for a brush with a larger belly and a good point over something like these. Also how people like the previous ones to see if they were worth the price.
  14. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/859512613/dragon-masters Hi all, Next month (probably the 14th) we will launch our latest project called Dragon Masters. Here's a little preview in the form of some of the concept art and renders created. We will share some more pictures soon!

    28mm Lesser Goblin Horde

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/splinteredlightminis/28mm-lesser-goblin-horde?ref=discovery_category_newest Splintered Light Miniatures is pleased to announce our 28mm Lesser Goblin Horde Kickstarter will begin Monday, February 18 at 6:00 PM and will run 14 days. These were sculpted by Bob Olley and stand 15-16mm tall. We will be offering an Early Bird gift for anyone who signs up in the first 24 hours at various pledge levels. These Lesser Goblins will likely be recognizable to many as having been available on the Splintered Light Miniatures website before. Originally, they were intended for 15mm but due to their bulk, I think they really work best with 28mm figures. The money from the Kickstarter is intended to retool some of the molds to better fit 28mm packs and perhaps some new Hedgerows and Heroes armies. We will also have a variety of Add-ons, including cavalry packs, a were-creature pack, and some Hill Trolls. Finally, we will be offering some sculpts as stretch goals that have never been officially released to the public. You can see more pictures at << commerce link removed>>
  16. First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Alessio Cisbani, and I'm an Italian miniature sculptor and painter. With this project I want to create a series of metal miniatures inspired by the classic ones of the 90s that I collected and painted. These miniatures will fit with your favourite wargames and can be cool PC or NPC for your pen&paper roleplaying games. The path this project will take is like the exploration of a dungeon: as our heroes delve deeper, they will face menacing creatures like Gargoyles or treacherous cultists and enchanters, but they may also find unexpected allies... Moreover Randolf the Ogre (see below) could find bits of armor, and weapons of his size! My project is live and yet funded in few hours, I would be glad if you can take a look. Scalecolor Artist Scale75

Looks like Scale75 is about to drop a new paint line on Kickstarter. Not too much to know right now all they have is a teaser video on their FB saying a new "smooth acrylic" is coming soon to KS. I'm not going to post the link because I'm not sure about linking to FB. I will keep an eye on this and post more once they do. I really don't need more paint but if this is decently priced then I may not be able to pass it up. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2025694581/scalecolor-artist-smooth-acrylic-paints
  18. Can't believe I missed this one until now. I didn't have a printer during their previous projects, but I'm definitely in on this one. Less than 48 hours to go. 19. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1679800548/dragonlocktm-3d-printable-miniatures?ref=ksr_email_user_new_friend_project About DRAGONLOCK™ Miniatures are specifically designed designed to be the easiest-to-print minis you can buy for 3D printing. These miniatures are optimized for FDM-type 3D printers and do not require slicer-added supports to successfully print, as the sculpts are designed to self-support or in some cases have pre-designed supports built in. All of this means you can print highly detailed miniatures easily without having the hassles often associated with printing miniatures at home. Best of all, the miniatures in the photos you see are all printed on a $220 3D Printer (Creality Ender 3 available on Amazon HERE and from Creality) and a standard 28mm miniature only costs around 6-8 cents in plastic to print! NOTE: All miniatures are delivered via DrivethruRPG as a downloadable .stl file, no physical minis are included. Miniatures printed on a $220 Creality 'Ender 3' 3D printer. We have a Youtube channel dedicated to teaching you how to set up a 3D printer, maintain it, and show you all the tips and tricks we've learned so you can print miniatures and terrain like a pro! DG Games Dark rituals

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1900818244/dark-rituals-malleus-maleficarum?ref=discovery About As the many planes of existence turn and churn, occasionally worlds come into alignment. For brief moments in the multiverse’s timescale, these Conjunctions allow objects to slip from one world to another, sometimes unnoticed, sometimes causing chaos. Dark Rituals: Malleus Maleficarum is the next exciting miniatures based game from DG Games Entertainment. Dark Rituals is an asymmetric “One vs Many” game for 2 to 5 players, with a solo mode. A small band of Heroes defends villagers from a coven of Witches. One player, the Witch Master, controls the Legion of Darkness. With two players, the second player plays the Heroes in a strictly competitive game and up to three more players may join in, each taking a Hero to help battle the Witch Master. A solo mode is also available, where the Witch Master battles game-controlled Heroes. You can choose between two Early Bird Pledges in the first 48 hours of this project. Both pledges contain an Early Bird bonus, a playable KS Exclusive Hero, the Swordsman. After the EB period, backers will be able to get The Swordsman as a $10 Add-On. The Swordsman will be available as a $10 Add-On after the 48 Hour Early Bird period expires.
  25. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1915262526/fred-perrys-gold-digger-colorized-part-4/description About Help us colorize the original Black and White Gold Digger series by creator Fred Perry. If you're not familiar with us, my name is Joeming Dunn, and I run Antarctic Press, a small, independent comic company started in 1984. I have personally collected comics of almost every type and genre since 1974, and I can say that during the past 30 years, we have published some of the greatest and best independent comics out there. Our publishing history includes titles like Gold Digger and Ninja High School. The comic industry has changed over the years, so we have started this Kickstarter program to help introduce new projects from our talented group of creators. You may have seen some of our other successful and fulfilled campaigns. Over the years, we have published a number of series. Prominent among these is Fred Perry's ingenious title, Gold Digger, which Fred describes as a mixture of Indiana Jones and Final Fantasy. The idea for Gold Digger was first conceived during Fred's tour of duty in the first Gulf War, and it debuted in Antarctic Press's anthology comic, Mangazine, in 1991. A four-issue miniseries followed in 1992, and a regular monthly black-and-white series followed starting in 1993. The current color series began in 1999 and has continued since then. It is the second-longest-running solo-created title in the industry. In 2013, Fred was honored at Comic Con International in San Diego, where he received an Inkpot Award for his work on Gold Digger. One of our most frequently received fan requests over the years is, "When can I see the original black-and-white series of Gold Digger in color?" Getting a book colored is not an easy proposition due to the cost and time involved, and both of those commodities are scarce in the independent publishing world. But with Kickstarter, it is now possible to achieve that goal. We experimented with a previous Kickstarter (Gold Brick 7), and due to its success, we were able to color the first two issues of the black-and-white series. So back in June of 2016, we ran the first part of this campaign, and we were able to COLORIZE 5 ISSUES. With such encouraging response, we made successive colorizing campaigns. Out of the 50 black-and-white issues, a total of 15 have been colorized thus far. Here is a small sample of what's been done. Below are original and colored pages from Gold Digger #6, colorized thanks to one of our previous Kickstarters. What we would like to do is to continue this process with issue #16 of the series, since the first 15 issues are already funded. Here is a PDF link for Gold Digger #16... http://antarcticpresslibrary.com/gdbw/gdbw16.pdf The money collected will go to paying the colorist to perform the task of coloring. And for each $1200 we collect beyond the first, we will color the next issue. For instance, if we collect a total of $2400 with this campaign, we will then proceed to color issue #14; if we collect at least $3600, we'll have issue #15 colored, and so forth and so on. Supporters will receive the PDFs of each completed issue that is colored, and those in the upper pledge tiers will also get the issues that have already been colorized. Wouldn't you like to see the many great Gold Digger moments in color? Theo versus the Lich King, the first appearance of the Leprechaun mecha, Ace's 747 battle against Dark Bird, Gina and Penny's wedgie war, the first appearance of Ryan, and the epic Time Warp saga are but a few of stories that can be eventually colorized. How we budget the money... $1200 Goal $120 Kickstarter Fees (Kickstarter takes 10% for various fees) $150 for Fred...for all his hard work $130 Administration...to manage and send the PDF's to all the supporters $800 for our esteemed colorists...each issues is from 24 to 30 pages long, so that comes to about $25 to $30 per page for them.
