  1. This is a little sideproject from my Lost World Project WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/& I think it deserves it's own WIP. It will be covered in the Lost World as well, but there it will be interrupted by the other things I paint and build there. With courtesy to @malefactus , @Peithetairosand @Chris Palmer for inspiring me with their awesome terrainbuilding. It all started when I noticed my spare base from Kaladrax. Kaladrax was put on a crypt as can be seen here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/77556-kaladrax-on-her-mausoleum-by-glitterwolf/ At first it was just an idea, putting some jungle stuff on that. But then things kinda got out of hand a bit. And some fericious foam cutting
  2. This is La Charra a wonderful bust from Creepytables Miniatures. I cleaned some mold lines. From the look of it the hat needs some work with putty, will attend to that later. I have decided the Skulls on the base will be sugarskulls. The snake is a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake. La Charra will get some facepaint in the Dia de Muertos style. I'm not sure about her hair yet. Blackish Blue? Greenish? Red/purple? Need to think about it, any suggestions welcome. I haven't decided about the patterns of her facepaint yet, there are a lot great ideas out there. Here are some inspirational pics.

Clan Wars Naga Champion by Glitterwolf

A while ago @Jasper_the_2nd sent me some minis for my Lost World Project. I painted the Clan Wars Naga Champion to fit in my world. This one is a captured Asian Pirate "improved" by the Transmuthor and turned into a Serpent Warrior. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=110
  5. Another Snake Warrior for my Lost World. WIP Here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=120 This is Reaper Warlord 14187 Ssathuss. A Nagendra Warrior.
  6. GodOfCheese

    Bones3 Snake of biting-you-nesssssss

SonOfCheese and I spent a few days painting snakes. I decided that my snake, although hooded, was not a cobra. It was just hanging out with its treasures atop a comfortable stone, watching us, and waiting. Eventually I was asked to stop making hissing noises.
  7. Howdy, Last one I swear... More game pieces to come, Kev! P.s. Khaki triad on the belly!
  8. Howdy, Why does it always have to be snakes? Xiexie, Kev! P.S. Click, if you dare...
  9. Howdy, Also painted during Paint Club at Reaper HQ... Thank you, Kev!
  10. This is Marshalla Sylvie from Freebooter Miniatures. In my Lost World she is Bonita, Half Pirate / Half Snake. I gave painted her base as if she was on driftwood in the water. Had fun with the Snake part and tried a little sheer on her blouse. WIP and Lost World Stories here http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=103 Enjoy:

    Cobra Bones 3

Cobra finished, liked the model alotta, so it moved up on the "to-do ladder". It's 90% airbrush, just started using one, so very happy with it. Base is from scibor
  12. This is called TANITH's AWAKENING. A sideproject from my Lost World Project. It was born due to @knarthex's daughter Alsnia, showing a pic of a cute python with flowers on it's head. Then @Pezler the Polychromatic made up a little story in my Lost World Project. I had already seen a great Serpent Goddess statue in a thread from @Chris Palmer and after some suggestions from @malefactus and @Chaoswolf things really got out of hand. More forumites commented and suggested stuff. Anyway here it is. The Ananconda and the Python are plastic toys. The little snakes are from the GW Bastiladon. The Sugarskulls are from Greenstuffworld and a present from @Erifnogard THX! @knarthex also donated lots of flock and moss. The little bird and the smaller pots are Bones. Alsnia is Bones Sarah the Seeress 77210 The bigger pottery, treasures and vases are Resin pieces from Minimonsters and Ristul's Extraordinary Market. For the whole story and WIP's http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/73979-taniths-awakening-by-xherman1964/ http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ Hope you guys like it. Building was made out of foam. I used some milliput and a Greenstuffworld Aztec Motif Rolling Pin. TANITH is the living statue of the serpent goddess, Alsnia performs the ritual to summon TANITH, and she breaks free from her stone form.
  13. Crowley

    Crowley's Medusa

As November's Hangout Figure of the Month, we picked Medusa 77037/02833. Now, because of boobs, I can't share most of my pics of her. However you can see them at my blog: Part 1 Part 2 At this point I just need to touch up a few spots, flock the base, and she's done!

    Avukavli Snake Demon

Here is one I did last week and I thought I would put it on here, I searched around at other attempts at it and decided to have a stab at it. I don't know if I should have censored this because her top half is naked but I did see that it looks like the moderator removes the image if it is not okay. Apologies if there is any offence. I found this figure really hard to do as there was lots going on with bangles and arms plus I have no idea how to do scales. I have next to no idea about highlighting as you can tell and I am just learning through trial and error so here goes. ( oh and the face got too much for me in the end as it this stage in my painting eyes are virtually impossible ! :) )

    77321 Giant Cobra - Bones 3

Greetings folks! Sssssssssssss, tabletop quality paintjob of the Giant Cobra from the Bonesssssssssss 3 Kickssssssstarter! Thanks for looking!
  17. Time for the final pics to be posted here (those that I can anyhow). This is Queen Shaernagathu - I came up with this name as it's the 3 parts of the figure that I kit-bashed together to form this figure. The body of Queen Shaerileth, a tentacle from the well of doom and the snake bottom half from I don't know which snake or creature or even if it was a reaper figure, I found all 3 parts in the melt bin during ReaperCon 2016. I was going to hold off posting and enter her into the 2017 Massive Voodoo water base challenge, but it was pointed out to met that she doesn't qualify due to a full figure being in the scene, the challenge is for the base to be the star with possibly a couple small plants/animals, but no full figures. Anyhow, it was a super fun project and very challenging. I did a lot of new things with it and learned a lot during the process. I had great feedback from others on the forum as well. WIP can be found here: Without further ado, here are the pics that I can show and links to the NSFW pics I can't show on the forum. I know they will expire at some point, but at least I can upload a few here. NWFW Links Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Thanks for looking and of course C&C are welcomed and greatly appreciated!
  18. While at ReaperCon 2016, I hit up the melt bin and found 3 distinctly different parts of 3 different figures. The first one was torso of 03465: Shaerileth, Spider Demoness, the second was a snake's tail (not sure from what or even if it's Reaper let me know if you know what it is!) and the third looks like it's a tentacle from the 02634: Well of Doom. These are NSFW due to the nude portion of the top of the figure and so I'll link to my Facebook pics that I've posted up. Here's the pieces as I pulled them from the melt bin. Pic 1 - all separate Pic 2 - test fitted using museum putty Pic 3 - glued and green stuff putty putting it together Pic 4 - another angle Pic 5 - yet another angle
  19. I'm covering this in my Lost World Project also. However since this is basically a Terrain Piece/Diorama thingie, I decided to make a separate WIP as well. So those who are only interested in terrain and such will also see it. It all started when @knarthex his daughter Alsnia posted a pic of her Pet Snake. Then @Pezler the Polychromatic made up a background story See my WIP page 65 http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=65 @malefactushas always inspired me with his great terrain and he also encouraged me... And I have also read the great threads of @Chris Palmer who made fantastic jungle statues. So I knew I had to do this. I bought a Toy Anaconda and a Toy Python. The Anaconda will become Tanith. The Serpent Goddess will be repainted in albino colours like Alsnia's pet, but it will also be part stone. She is in stasis in a statue and now Alsnia the Priestess ( Bones Sarah the Seer) has been chanting and summoning until Tanith sheds her stone skin and breaks out of the statue. The Python will be a gold or bronze statuette on the back of the wall. I'm planning to put torches and sacrifices/gifts on the altar. There will be two pipes coming from the backwall and snakes will pour from those and will be crawling all over the altar. Here is what I've done so far. Then I needed to carve out the shape of the Python to embedd it into the back wall later. Too much gap will be filled with putty. There will also be much stuff likes vines and leaves all over it. So this may take a while.

    77153: Snakeman Warrior

So, I rarely post any of my work in the forum. I've not painted anything most of this year, and just got back to it. So here's the third post of my last few weeks. Not just lurking this week. I decided the next project was to paint up some Yuan-ti as villains for my friend's new Dark Sun campaign. I had a serviceable pre-painted one to use the other week, but the GM hinted that these guys were going to be coming up more as we dug further into the story. So, I dug out the snake men from my Kickstarter pile and painted them up. I was just going to try some quick and dirty tabletop colors on them. Green ink over metallic silver to give one a glittering green scale thing. One was going to have a desert snake look, using rattlesnake leather and a dark wash. I had no idea what to do with the third, so I set it aside while I worked on the others. The green guy was a success. I used Scalecolor emerald alchemy as a base with a couple washes of Army Painter green tone for definition. I liked how it turned out. Not a lot of effort to it, but I just wanted a simple glittery green look, and this worked well. The desert guy wasn't doing it for me with just rattlesnake leather. It was far too plain with just the one color and a wash. I looked online at some snakes and realized he would look good with some rattler style patches. With a little blackened brown and ginger cookie, he looked far more interesting and was pretty much what I wanted for that one. The third was tough. I almost did a pure black cobra look to it, but plain black alone would look cheesy and I wasn't really interested in highlighting all those scales. Because of how the GM built this game world, there are no fires allowed in the city at all. The few magic users allowed in the region are specifically the king's fire watch team. The first of the Yuan-ti we ran into was discovered when it had set on fire the manor house of a prominent family in town. What better color scheme than a fire looking snake man as a nemesis in a town where any fire was prohibited? This was certainly the most involved color scheme/blend I've worked with, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. This progressed through buckskin pale, palomino gold, fire orange, phoenix red, fire red, and finished with gory red for the top ridge. Unfortunately, like my Arbiss the Red I posted earlier, my camera washed out the darker reds. If you know what gory red looks like, the final ridge was pure gory red, so you have an idea what it looks like on my table. Not quite sure what I'll do with the bases yet, but since this is pretty much an arid world, I'll likely go with some more flat desert, with crackle medium and maybe a wasteland tuft or two thrown in to break up the monotony of just flat tan dirt.

    Mawloc, GW

Finished the last model in my Tyranid army for now. All hail the King and Queen. :)

    77117 Vandorendra x2

Clearing stuff off my desk. Finally finished a pair of the mariliths that have been sitting on my shelf for months. All the arms on these figures reminded me of paintings of Indian gods. So that's what I went for in upper body. The lower bodies are inspired by two distinctive patterns I found when I googled for cobras: the King Cobra (Miss Blue) and the Indian/Speckled Cobra (Miss Purple). I believe that cropping the front photos is in line with forum rules on nudity. Please let me know if I have misunderstood.
  24. I give you Sssllthr the latest recruit for my Army of the Lost World. WIP: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-army-of-the-lost-world-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures/
  25. This is The Amphisbaena, which I originally painted up the other night to go along with Draco the Barbarian, but I reversed course when I remembered that the main contest that I'm going to enter Draco into at Reapercon (for Ares Mythologic) needs to have their figures and not mainly have other manufacturers in any diorama/vignette that I build. So I'll go ahead and add this to an already created base and another Conan barbarian that I have. This was part of the most recent Temple of Set IGG campaign and what is even cooler about this snake is that it was sculpted by Andy (TaleSpinner)! Anyhow, here's the 2-headed snake in all his slithery glory! Of course C&C are welcomed and encouraged!
