    CSW: ARMOURED WARFARE 3

About Hail Commander!, Welcome to COLONIAL SPACE WARS: ARMOURED WARFARE 3. The goal of this crowdfunding is the creation of new vehicles for the wargame CSW. This KS is the continuation of CSW: ARMOURED WARFARE and CSW ARMOURED WARFARE II, which were successfully funded. With your support to this campaign we will expand the range of tanks, mechs and buildings available, making the CSW experience even cooler!. Despite CSW ARMOURED WARFARE models are designed for the wargame COLONIAL SPACE WARS, they can be used in other sci-fi game systems that use 15mm and smaller scales. Terran battleloids ready for action!. These models were 3D sculpted by José Méndez. They are produced mainly in resin, but white metal is used for thinner components. Round 50mm DF bases, required for CSW gaming, are supplied with the vehicles. Size comparison of some CSW AW models. The project is developed by Vedra Games, a Spanish game publisher that has released the board games "Colonial Space Wars", "Dragon Rush" and "Golf´n´Roll". Our two previous CSW Kickstarters were managed professionally and efficiently, and thus we can guarantee the fulfillment of the project. Finally this campaign is just a little fraction of a rich sci-fi universe. In time, we want to reproduce that same range of units in miniatures that it is available in the boardgame CSW version. And with your support we will achieve it!. This Kickstarter campaign will last only 10 days. During this period, backers are invited to join by pledging with different perks (see below). Each perk will require the compromise of investing a certain amount of funding; the higher is this level, the greater amount of additional Tactical Resources (rewards) to choose from. In any case, backers should remember that no charges would be applied in case the minimum required for funding the campaign was not reached. To our most committed backers (Commander pledge) belong an awesome exclusive Kickstarter reward: the centauri Polemarch Minotaur!
  2. Hi All, I'm starting this thread to show the progress of a Neo-Soviet 15mm army I've been meaning to paint for quite a while .you know the feeling think thats great idea to collect but don't get around to starting them... Heres the lot that will be painted up most of the Vehicles are from Armies Army (sold to Brigade & the Scene in the UK I believe) the BTR 160s & BTR 290s are nice as there are lots of variants APC's Ambulance, recovery vehicles etc which will work well for scenarios which we hope to play. Time to get these out of Storage A lot of Vehicles Nice castings Heavy support from the QRF range Air support / transport (I think this was from the Critical Mass games collection) Infantry (AA which I think Brigade has now) Extra bits such a crew, disembarked crew, machine guns, stowage to add to vehicles Some GZG Robots to be used as mobile gun platforms So as you can see quite a big force I'll keep this thread going as I add to it over the year, I may add a couple of more items as I have no proper tanks in the force and brigade models has now reproduced its 6mm range into 15mm regards '66'
  3. This project is now live: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/832150598/war-and-empire-iii-dark-ages Andy has posted up a video showcasing some of the figs that will be available on YouTube: https://youtu.be/ZtSJ6ieU5ms
  4. I'd planned to get started on these a bit ago, but got distracted by other bright shiny objects... Forged in Battle (West Wind Production's historic line) are currently doing their third Kickstarter for their War and Empire line of ancients with a little over a week left. I figured it was time to get started on some of mine from their first Kickstarter for that line, from a couple of years ago. I don't really know what I'm doing with these , and my knowledge of history from the era is primarily from the Iron Maiden song about Alexander, so I'm going to have to do some googling and ask some questions (apparently base sizes and number of figs per base are of some importance....). So to start off, I opened my box from KS1 and grabbed a pack, making sure it wasn't cavalry or camelry or chariots or elephants or anything super cool, since I'll save those for after I know what I'm doing a bit. The pack I grabbed were WE-RP02, Roman Velites, from the Punic Wars. Now in the Kickstarter I picked a couple of stater armies that they had pre-defined. Apparently these guys are from one of those. I'll have to track down which ones I picked sometime soon I suppose. I've got a spreadsheet somewhere..... Anyway, I dumped them all out a sorted them by pose. Looks like there are 4 standard poses, plus a command and a standard bearer. I cleaned them up and got to here: Looks like I got 6 of 3 of the poses, 7 of the other, 2 commanders, a standard bearer, and an extra shield and banner. That adds up to more than 24 figs, which is apparently common with these packs. So, I "think" I need 1 commander and 1 standard bearer, and presumably 22 other guys. And I "think" they go 4 figures on a 40mmx20mm base. But I need to check on all that. And I need to figure out what I'm going to stick them too for painting....

    Terran Infantry for CAV

Hi, I found a pack of these little buggers in the 1$ bin of my FLGS. They are 15mm "flames of war" minis (WWII type) and I though I could try to make use of them for my CAV infantry. I just modernized them a bit with some green-stuff goggles (which has the advantage of not making me paint eyes on 15mm minis and match the canopies of my Terran CAV) and did speed paint. Here is the result: They are a bit big for CAV, especially next to a transport vehicle, but they will do for the purpose of the game. Other pic for scale:

    15mm Planetary Defense Cannon

It's been a while since I posted anything 15mm. To rectify, I present a planetary defense canon made from bases, found objects, and Lego.
  7. These are my Marine snipers for All Quiet on the Martian Front.
  8. Here are some 15mm models by Ironclad Games. They are part of the Marines Landing Force kit for the game "All Quiet on the Martian Front."

    Lightning Crab

This just sorta happened. No idea if this guy's in the worlds in my hed or not.
  10. West Wind's follow up Kickstarter to their very successful launch of their 15mm ancients line of miniatures is now live: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/832150598/war-and-empire-ii-legions-of-rome It is already funded and headed towards its second stretch goal.
  11. Hordes of Things Jabberwocky Roving the Streets ~ Daughter's Christmas Gift ~ Okay, so I started painting this shortly after I gave it to my daughter for Christmas ... 2014. You can read the WIP. He languished in a box, in my kit, on and off for the last two years. A while back I pulled him out and applied a new paint, Scale 75 Amethyst Alchemy, as a wash over his already green and purple body to give him a metallic look and feel. And now in my recent kick to clear some Shelf of shame Space, I have FINISHED this Jabberwocky. Whew. Just in time to "re-gift" it to her. Here's what went into this bad boy... Basecoats: Body :: Vallejo Yellow Green Face, Underbelly, Spine and Wings :: Reaper Witchcraft Purple Claws and Eyes :: Vallejo Pancer Aces Stencil Washes & Glazing: Purple :: DecoArt's Americana Gloss Enamel Dioxazine Purple Metallic :: Scale 75 Amethyst Alchemy Highlights :: Claws, Wing Spines, and Horns :: Scale 75 Black Metal Horns, Wing Spikes, and Tail Spike :: Vallejo Blue Violet Eyes :: Reaper Sun Yellow blended to Reaper Rach Red Flagstones: Reaper Ruddy Brown Vallejo Yellow Green Reaper Rattlesnake Leather (Promo Color) Highlights :: Reaper Rainy Grey Crevices :: Reaper Grey Liner Base: Happy Seppuku Flagstone Stamp Green Stuff Architectural Tile Sample All in all, he was an interesting build and paint. The only thing I don't care for on this mini was the sculptor's treatment of the claws. They were kind of armor-like and didn't quite fit in with the overall esthetic of the mini. Here's "Wocky" ... Enjoy! Added to Thrym's General Show Off List

    15mm Alien Paint n take

This was another mini I did at Odyssey con in April. I don't remember the company any more even though the Paint n take people told me who it was. He's from Micropanzer Very quick simple tabletop job. He'll fill in for many small multi-armed creatures of weird origins. possibly the most useful paint n take.

Mouse and Beaver go to war

A couple of really tiny guys from Splintered Light Miniatures. These are not only tiny, they are 15mm scale. So the mouse is about half an inch high.
  16. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1835446295/global-defence-forces-15mm-sci-fi-tabletop-miniatu 4 Welcome citizen! The world government has fallen! It falls to us to raise an army to protect and fight for our peace, democracy and freedom! Enlist and support the Global Defence Forces. Join today! At Slap Miniatures we're seeking the funds to hand craft a new range of 15mm (1/100) scale figures, with the retail copies cast as whole finished pieces in high quality pewter. There are two sets of figures on offer, both containing one piece pewter castings of 30 individually posed figures. So with your help in bringing this kickstarter to life there will be 60 uniquely posed figures to choose from. I feel this is important, making every soldier in your table top army look and feel like an individual. The most common soldier in all armies is the humble rifleman, so I've created 30 individually posed riflemen. Furthermore there will also be 30 individually posed 'specialists' to bolster the rifleman. Amongst the specialists there will be 6 different types of soldier armed with differing weaponry. 5 Rocket troopers, 5 Communication troopers, 5 grenadiers, 5 assault troopers, 5 snipers and 5 machine gunners. I've already made 1 of each of the 6 different types of specialists so you can see what they look like, with the rest to be made during the course of the kickstarter. There's also rucksacks available too! Who doesn't like those? Suitable for many 15mm figures I'd just like to explain why I've set the delivery date to July; March: Running the Kickstarter (and attempting to finish specialist figures before the kickstarter is over). April: Will have definitely finished the specialist figures. May: Figures sent off for casting and production. June: Packaging and posting of everyone's pledges. July: A spare month, just in case the moulds don't turn out correctly, figures need remastering or the casters are a little late. As for the Generals pledge, should anyone take one of the three on offer I shouldn't have any difficulty in finishing them when the time comes to ship everyone's pledges. You can probably tell there is a fair bit of leeway for me to finish sending out everyone's rewards. I'd expect to get everything sent out before July. However with the last kickstarter running late I do not wish to dissapoint anyone, including myself
  17. This is one of a set of three armored cars, the "Specter Armored Cars" from the "All Quiet on the Martian Front" game. They are 15mm scale, said to be based on the Rolls Royce Spectre. I am painting them up for steampunk use. I think they are lead. They seemed pretty soft and bendy anyhow. They came in several pieces without instructions and it took a few tests to see how and what order to put the pieces together. The underbody chassis is just a little tricky and you can't put the wheels on until the rest is assembled. I left the turret unglued. It's on a post so it can rotate. I doubt I am going to paint them in any unified matter. This one just seemed to want to be purple.

15mm Alien sculpt for future range

Here's a 15mm alien sculpt I'm working on. This is just a primary sculpt, I'll cut it into parts and have castings made so I can make different poses instead of having to sculpt the same thing over and over. It was inspired by the Prometheans from the Halo game series. There will be several head, arm and weapon options. I'm currently sculpting parts for a "leader or priest" model (carrying some kind of staff or symbol office). The last picture has it next to one of Clearhorizon's 15mm Helldiver models for scale.
  19. So I have a couple armies of 15mm units as well as various packs from both Rebel Minis and Splintered Light minis. I've never painted ones at this scale before and wondered if anyone had tips for painting these little buggers. Barbarian Army, Wild Elves, Otter Archers, Dire Wolves, Henchmen, Kobold Rangers, Infiltrators, and some singles. They're so tiny!
  20. FTWIMH: The Port Sarai Resistance

Figures by Critical Mass Games with heads from Reaper and Rebel Miniatures, plus sculpted hair. Shuttles by MegaBloks with substantial modification. Each of these characters represents someone specific in The Worlds in my Head, though I'm not yet sure which is which. Included somewhere in there are Torla, Tirsa and Tipra Dunbar, Tirsa's daughter Alii, and Mora. I give you The Port Sarai Resistance:

    15mm Aztecs as Fey

Oh my god! This thread is crawling with brownies!! Willow, anyone? Anyway, I grabbed a couple of 15mm Aztecs from the last round of the Box of Good Will with the intent of using them as fey-folk, and here they are. I painted them during Inarah's paint binge last weekend. I wasn't too sure what to do about the shields, so I painted the shields as buttons. I know that at this scale they'd have had to get them off of a Titan or something, but rule of cool. With a Bones goblin lurking behind them to give a sense of scale.

    Hhlict Swarms, FTWIMH.
