    Bunny girls

Bunny Girls, modeled by Brother vinnie. Need I say more? There's also a set of bunnies to choose for those who need a familiar or just to add to a diorama.
  3. On top of painting my Zombiecide models. I have started to paint a numbers of Heresy Miniatures models. I have based five models and undercoated them and the first has a few coats of paints on him. as always comment welcome.

    Heresy Miniatures - Maggotmen

And the last post here for today is a set of nasty looking Maggotmen by Heresy Miniatures. These will form part of my Dragon Rampant army at some point, similar to Ghouls they feast upon the corpses of their victims. A simple painting scheme was used and the models were left gloss to give them a wet look. Thanks for looking and as always comments welcome.
  5. Edsterdoom

    Heresy Miniatures Heros

Here is a selection for three heroes for use in Frostgrave or other such games. I really like like the sculpts, and think I have done a reasonable job on the painting. Thanks for looking as always comments welcome.
  6. Edsterdoom

    Dungeon Saga undead.

Another set of undead model used for alternative sources for my Dragon Raman’s Army. I painted up a selection keeping the colours simple. I opted to keep them on their bases so they can be reused in Dungeon Saga. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.
  7. Edsterdoom

    Zombicide Black Plague models.

Continuing with more models for my Dragons Rampant army I grabbed a selection of models from Zombiecide. These are well detailed and painted up well for archers, zombies and skeletons. These are are painted using a limited pallete to keep them simple and easy to paint. I kept the basing simple as well. thanks for looking as always comments welcome.

    28mm Sci-Fi Skirmish Games?

It's been 6 years since I last played a sci-fi table top game in 28mm. Wondering what is out there BESIDES 40k these days? What are you playing and/or what do you recommend? My favorite in the past were 40k 2e and Necromunda. I prefer more skirmish level, and capable of handling multiple players/sides.
  10. Can anyone recommend any miniatures 28mm to be suitable for the beast quest series of books by Adam Blade. These would be for my sons. The two main characters are young adventures. One is a boy with a sword and shield, the other is a female ranger/archer with a pet wolf. Any my suggestions would be appreciated.
  11. If you've seen my other posts here, you know I normally work on larger scale figures. But recently I took on a commission to paint the 28mm version of Kingdom Death's White Speaker. I actually painted the 54mm version a few years back, so I thought it'd be an interesting exercise to see how I could do on the 28mm one. So far my focus has been on the skin. The other sections just have some dark undercoats. I played around with my mixes a bit on this one. I started by base coating her with a 2:1 mix of Rosy Shadow and Bronzed Shadow. I then used a 4:1 mix of Chestnut Brown and Rosy Shadow to create the darkest shadows. From there I worked up to a 3:1 mix of Rosy Skin and Bronzed Skin and finally added in Fair Highlight for the brightest parts. Although she's a female figure, I still went for a more dramatic contrast range and brought out some of the muscles more than I might on a different female subject. This one is a badass warrior, so she should be pretty fit.

    Not A-team minis

So anyone have any recommendations for minis to represent the A-Team?
  13. These are what I finished painting this year, a year that was somewhat abbreviated by world events. Really, this is what I painted in the last six months, since political dismay kept me from the miniatures table for approximately eight months after the last US Presidential election. This year I painted my first Reaper Warlord figures who were also my first oversized werewolves, 77754 the Rageclaw Slayer, and 77755, Aislinn, Shadow Tracker. Nearly everything I painted was for the White Wolf World of Darkness and Exalted. 14. These are the "Vampire Brides" from Bad Squiddo Games, which last summer came out with a line of Hammer-type horror figures called "My Last Sunrise." They are sculpted by Gus Kearns and were introduced with the tag line "Get married, they said. Best day of your life, they said." WIP thread here.

    SER WAYMAR ROYCE NIGHTS WATCH

Kathud !!! I finished another Dark Sword Miniature this afternoon. I got some upsetting news, so I painted it off, intead of letting it bother me. So, with that said... This is a HEAP OF FUN to paint. I actually did it twice. When I looked at number 1 I liked it, but it was boring. So I got out the paints AGAIN, and figured out another paint scheme. I based my second set of painting on "Night Watch", and that is what is here. Very complicated Sculpt to paint, and get into. Multi level highlighting also makes the brush work that more complicated. 28mm is SMALL, so keep tips well pointed ! Do have fun, its worth it on this one. Comments (negative or positive) are greatly appreciated ! Here he is: Jay

    ZOE The Golden Ranger.

I have been threatening to finish Zoe The Golden Retriever sometime this week. Last nights sixteen degrees F provided the impetus ! I was too cold to sleep well. So Here is ZOE. This is a beautiful, soul full piece to work on. Capturing the emotion in that small face, getting everything painted and mounted proved quite the challenge to me. In the end Zoe was a real treat to do. Not that often I really get into a feeling level while painting a miniature. Mr. Summers must have had a beautiful and loving companion in Zoe, it came through the Sculpt ! Hope I did it Justice. Let me know what you think of my efforts on this mini please ! Jay

    Page of Wands

I looked at this sculpt with a GREAT amount of fear and nervousness. Complicated, Multi-small parts, and just a complete display of "I will make you jump through hoops". It lived up to its threat. Gluing was tedious, and physically painful. Sharp ! There is nothing really intuitive on this piece, even the head goes on crooked !! You have to do a difficult mini in order to grow, and this one will provide ample opportunity! ROFL. She is fun, Challenging, and color wise, a field of flowers waiting to be painted. Hope you enjoy. Give me a comment about what you think please. All are appreciated. So here is the Page of Wands from Dark Sword Mini's, I have adored painting her, and have spent 11 days completing her. Jasonator.

    Young Robert Baratheon

Incredible, that's the only way I can describe the experience of Painting this Miniature. Tom Meier is know for his skill, but he has this ability to put so much detail into the smallest of Mini's. This is NO exception. Loved working on this mini (look out for the antlers..."SHARP". The Mini is also very small. I have experimented all over the place on this mini. Colors were the basic Wash/primer/than Brown Liner. I then started mixing Nightmare black (which is really blue) and put on about seven coats, mixed vampire whites into pallet, Cavalry reds, washed, and anything I could mix in there. I had my trusty color wheel out, and was just playing. Eventually he said "I'm done/cooked/finished. So here he is. I even used clear colors in this paint trip. Your comments are solicited, and very appreciated. Do let me know what you think. Jay Here are some photos: I Forgot to add the obligatory quarter when I paint anything by Tom Meier; gives you an idea how small he is !

  21. This is not my idea; I saw someone else's project online a while back, and ever since I've been looking for an opportunity to try it. Then I was with a friend recently who was punching out the counters for his newly purchased copy of the Congo ruleset, and I asked if I could have the remaining cardboard frame left after all the counters are punched out. I then cut the frames into sections to look like partially destroyed walls, and glued them on to 6" x 6" cork bases. Next, I'll be adding some detail bits, an then spraying on a base coat.
  22. Link About this project I've been making miniatures for about three years now, during that time I've made sculpts for various miniature companies as a freelancer sculptor. Now I've decide do to take the plunge and produce some of my own miniatures. That aspiration led me to Kickstarter. I've been busy sculpting the range of undead miniatures presented here over the last few months. They're predominantly 28mm sculpts, the Undead Heroes are larger at 32mm scale, to fit their powerful status. I consciously made them an eclectic bunch, including animals. My vision of the undead force is a terrifying mix of all forms of life, bent to the will of their masters. During the course of this campaign, I'll continue to sculpt miniatures to add to the range. I have a Facebook Group - March of the Dead, where I'm working on suggestions offered by the groups members. The more popular ones will be joining the miniatures here. The objectives of this project are to firstly see the miniatures produced in white metal by Macrocosm Miniatures and in your possession In a timely manner. If things go really well, then hopefully I can also get a shiny website made, so I can continue producing miniatures and offer them online. Anyway. I think that covers the background. Time to show you the miniatures on offer..... To select multiple rewards, pick one of your choices, then amend the total to include the grand total. I'll then collect the details of your order with the Pledge Manager.
