  1. One of my players bought this figure to represent her sylvan druid. She wanted her painted like a Sylvari from Guild Wars 2. I used her description from her backstory to determine her skin, hair, and eye colors. She said she thought Lily would wear "natural" colored clothing. I initially thought greens with some purples (my favorite colors) but with her hair being bright green as requested, I didn't think green leaves would show up in her hair. I decided to go with autumn leaves for her hair and wrists. When deciding on how to do her clothes, I thought of doing them like an autumn leaf. Her corset/vest and her sandals were painted bootstrap brown but when I used brown ink over it, it made it look like red leather. I really liked how it turned out a lot! I am so bad about finishing painting a figure and wanting to move on to painting the next. I have to make myself base things. A local guy here was advertising some leaf punches so I bought some from him to create leaves for the base. I painted them up in autumn colors and added them to the base. I painted a little Monarch butterfly and put it on her raised hand. The only thing I am not totally happy with is the staff/spear/whatever it is. I want to paint this figure again for myself and if/when I do, I will be modifying it and getting rid of the staff. She's a little shiny because I haven't sprayed her with Dulcote yet. C&C welcome! Thanks for looking!
  2. 77609: Autumn Bronzeleaf

This is a PC (oracle, half-elf) from a campaign we finished last November. I altered (made less "poofy") her hair and changed out the top of her staff. Not happy at all with the face but this is the Bones version and it was slightly miscast/wonky. I was quite happy with the gradient on her robes which doesn't show that well here. Table Top quality, but I do take a bit longer on PC models. Phone pics suck, sorry.
  3. This is Bones version of Nienna, Elf Ranger. Most ranger figures I've seen are painted green or brown, but I thought I'd go for an autumn theme and paint her in red/orange/yellow/brown. I started by painting the cloak a rusty burghundy, including all the highlights and shadows as if that was the final paint job. Then I started painting a freehand patchwork leaf pattern. Each leaf is painted individually, which takes a devilishly long time, I've come to discover. This is going to take a long time to finish. And right now she's at one of the those early stages when I can't stand what I'm working on and think it looks terrible. I've been there so many times before, though, that I will push myself to just keep going, in the hopes it will all turn out right in the end. Here she is so far:
  4. 77323: Blightfang

Alright. I finished my Blightfang though now I have to create the dragon she is going to represent and rename her to that.
  5. Decided to paint a non-under dark realistic flesh tone mini and had this in my to do box. Happy with the end result ease feel free to C&C and all comments welcome Thank you ;)
  6. A few PCs

Continuing my latest photo session, all the non-pathfinder PC minis I've completed recently. I'm actually using Cassie as a stand in for Lini in our PACG sessions until Bones II arrives. Threw in a few familiars for fun, too.
  7. ... And Justice Was All He Had To Give

This was my first mini that I had fully painted and based. Making the log was a bunch of fun.
  8. Here is the project that started the thread about painting granite:
  9. Well, since I joined this forum a bit late in the game, I missed out on that neat figure exchange thread. I was thinking that since Summer is now over, and we're hitting the Autumn swing, perhaps starting a new one wouldn't be a bad thing, so here it is! I'm also volunteering to organize it, too! Post here first Once we have enough people for this to be viable, I'll request you to PM me with: (Since I've never done this before, I'll blatantly steal Inarah's info request from the Summer thread...) Your Real Name Your Mailing address an idea of what you can paint (ie: human, females, monsters, "anything") an idea of what you'd like to receive (ie: Darkreach, undead, mouselings, "no preference") NB: negative answers like "Please, no mouslings", or "no display base" are also helpful Material preference: Metal, resin, bones, or any When I get the info, I'll match people together and PM the info you need for your recipient by October I was thinking that getting the exchange minis out by the end of November/beginning of December was reasonable. There are several holidays in there, but it's also about 2 months, so everyone who wants to participate should be able to finish and mail a mini in that time frame. So, any interest?
