  1. Easter Bunny (DSM7994)

I painted this as a gift for a good friend who loves the Easter Bunny and adventuring (she loved it!). A little reindeer moss and some colored ground foam from my model railroad foliage and the bunny is ready for a quest. I took a lot of inspiration from Jessica Rich's studio paint job. The variety of bright colors was a lot of fun.
  2. Cat Seductress (Darksword)

Linked for furry nudity. Mini by Darksword miniatures (SKU 1231), it is part of the Larry Elmore collection. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_ZgOi70hDxneVJUcFNsakRkMFE https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_ZgOi70hDxnWUYwSWVSbUIwV2c https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_ZgOi70hDxnTS0wWk14QUctSGs
  3. DSM housecat Bard

And because I shouldn't miss one (I did have a run on the critters) this is one of the dark sword miniatures critters from their latest kickstarter. these are a little more posed than the Oathsworn critters but they still have a lot of personality and can add quite a bit of fun to the workbench. (especially after 54 tyranids in 12 hours). this fellow has learned the art of fighting and drinking and become a true expert. I had a good time with the reds on the tunic and tried a little bit of freehand on the inside of the cloak. Styles and patterns on clothing don't come easy for me as I prefer my clothing rich toned natural and unpatterned. but this guy was just begging for a little color on the inside of the cloak so I gave it a shot. Enjoy!
  4. This is probably the reason I don't finish miniatures to quickly. I decided to begin prepping up a figure from another KS I backed. The 3 figures in this pack are in parts and rather fragile pieces. I also had to look at the photo to see which pieces and how I'm going to have to put them together. Here is a shot of Angelica - the Half-Elf Warrior in pieces.
  5. Black Witch, Darksword Miniatures

I've been a fan of this mini since the first time I saw it but still it took me some time to buy it, and almost even more time to gather up the courage to paint it. It didn't quite end up the way I wanted it to (I don't have that good brush control) but still it turned out kind of nice.
  6. Strong Belwas, Darksword Miniatures

Strong Belwas from Darksword Miniatures. I had a better paintjob going in my head but in the end this is what I ended up with. I probably should have made his shirt and pants a different color, but I don't know which.
  7. With most everyone having received or receiving in the next few days, I'd like to open up a thread for EVERYONE in a Group/Open WIP thread. Although I won't be doing mine until after the current projects are off my desk with time constraints, I can see quite a few of us really wanting to paint these up. This is open to EVERYONE and ALL the new DSM Stephanie Law Masterworks figures. Feel free to post up your WIP here and most importantly... HAVE FUN!! P.S. Let us keep chatter to a minimum and only about these figures.
  8. I finished up this lady earlier this week. I was originally intending her to be a bit higher quality, but she was very accident prone so I decided to settle for high tabletop level. High tabletop is where I want most of my minis to fall, so that’s perfectly fine by me. Hopefully my “high tabletop†will increase over time, but this is a good example of what it means to me at the moment. There are some spots I’m proud of (skin and brown), and others I got frustrated with and moved on (armor and blue). I did a teensy bit of TMM on her swords. Actually, her dagger was a victim of my her clumsiness and the “mid-tone†is polished pewter with no paint at all. Here’s the best closeup of the face I could get. Darksword Miniatures have really tiny eyes, so I was unable to get as much detail in there as I would have liked to. I eventually had to accept that I couldn't do any better after repeated attempts.
  9. Vallisra Satish Standing inside her summoning circle, Vallisra Satish thumps her staff of power down and channels forth arcane energies, the runes light up red and energies start to swirl about. She throws her head back and laugh wickedly, the plane opens up and out steps her Eidolon... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Figure - Evil Female Mage (DSM-1168) Manufacturer - Darksword Miniatures Material - Pewter WIP Thread here. EDIT: I've taken some better pictures and replaced the old ones with these. Thanks for looking!
  10. Khal Drogo and a Cocky Hedge Knight

I've been running a 2nd Ed AD&D campaign called "The Galodania Chronicles" (loosely based on GoT and LotR) for 6 years now. These are two of the player characters in my game. Khal Azhal, a young Khal that has been fortunate enough to marry into House Lannister (Cersie and Kevan Lannister are dead. I used Kevan as the twin brother instead of Jaime.) and the hedge knight is young Ser Lyron Belaganga (Mighty Iron in Tolkien Elvish) AKA "The Faircoin" as he was a sellsword before his knighting. Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed painting them! :D
  11. DSM Frog Jester

For Christmas 2013, I painted this for my mother. She's very excited about it; she likes frogs a bunch. Luckily, I have years worth of Darksword frogs to go, so this won't be the last time she gets one...eventually there will also be a Hirst arts base for the whole court. For now, though, just the jester: These pictures were taken before I cleaned up the edge of the base...it's all black on the edge now. C&C welcome.
