  1. Link The Drowned Earth... ...is a tabletop miniatures game where brave heroes and villains risk the dangers of the wilds for glorious riches and ancient technology! Played on a 3ftx3ft table. 5 (or more) models a side. Scenario based play. Beautifully cast, multi-part metal miniatures. The game is set in the land of Ulaya, a tropical world of flooded cities, overgrown ruins and terrifying predators. About the Development Process When I decided to create The Drowned Earth I had Four simple design briefs. I wanted the game to have: A Parkour/ Freerunning movement system. Rules which told a narrative through a dramatic reaction mechanic. A streamlined, elegant system which was quick to learn and easy to remember. An unambiguous rules set suitable for competitive play. Two years of development later, and I think I've ticked those boxes, and many more! The Drowned Earth is the kind of game you can tell stories about, without once talking about the mechanics or the dice you rolled. Models leap off buildings, guns blazing, dodge bullets as they run through open ground, and swing from vines to take key objectives. It truly is a cinematic, narrative game full of knife edge choices and story moments! About the Miniatures I've watched and backed a lot of Kickstarters, and passionately want to avoid the pitfalls many of them experience with late delivery, quality issues and production bottle necks. As a first time producer I have done as much research as possible to mitigate risk. To that end I have established full production pipeline and have actually gone through a complete production cycle with an outstanding metal caster, to deliver to you the best metal miniatures I can. Pictures speak a thousand words.
  2. About this project As you probably know, dice tower is used by players to roll the dice in the most equitable manner. Dice are dropped on top of the tower, and bounce through a variety of hidden platforms before emerging from the front. Dice towers are created to eliminate fraud and ensure a truly random result. We designed a lot of dice towers before, but we still want to create new ones or new variations of towers we have. We aim to improve all the time and deliver even better products for gamers community than we did in the past. For that, we need not only our creativity, but also new materials and equipment for our Team. For this campaign, we have prepared something truly special.
  3. Ral Partha T-Rex by Glitterwolf

I needed another large monster for my Lost World Project. WIP and Stories here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ This time I painted the Ral Partha T-Rex. Based her on a resin Jungle base from Micro Art Studios, it has some nice touches like a conquistadore's skull, frogs and a lizard. I named her Trixy. Hope you like her:
  4. Hi all, To start of the year well, I decided to clear some of my primed but not yet painted minis. Here are 2 variations of Blaine (Mantic's mascot) I got from Dungeon Saga and KoW rewards. The version on foot was not very inspiring... but the mounted one was really fun (what is not to like to have a predator looking guy riding a dino!). For the dino, I tried something a bit different from my usual paint job and started with a 2 tone base coat (green an yellow) that I then covered all around with a camo green wash. I'm quite happy with the result. C&C Welcome. Blaine Mounted: Blaine on foot:

  6. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fossilpunkfoundry/sauriana-54mm-miniatures-game?ref=category_newest Sauriana is a 54mm miniature wargame set in an alternate 19th century, rife with dinosaurs, explorers, adventure and intrigue.
  7. I was little surprised not to find a post about this one: Cretacea: The game of gargantuan survival It is a rule set to play skirmish games with Dinosaurs. Sadly no minis. It is 1:100, but I'm sure it should be possible for 28-32mm, too.
  8. I spotted this big dragon/dino thing on a blog page. Can anyone ID the maker or source? I would like to find one. The blogger said he found it at a garden store. Spoilered for huge 1600x1280 picture.

  11. 02996: Carnotaurus

Finished enough, I think. My flashy Carnotaurus, on the prowl for prey or a pretty female Carnotaurus to impress her with his flashy colors
  12. 02996: Carnotaurus

Pulled this one out of the cabinet to get started, figured take a break from speed mass paints and try to work on something slower and more detailed Just blocking in a speculative pattern as a base coat. Carnotaurus is thought to have lived in a coastal floodplain, and I originally considered something green or blue to match, I decided to go with brown and striped because it sounded more fun to paint.
  13. I will paint and create a Reptilian Army pure for fun. It will consists of many different kind of Reptiles and Amphibians. Mostly Snakemen, Lizardmen, Frogmen, Dragonmen, Turtlemen, Fishmen, Dinosaurs and Insects. I will happily include any monster I think will fit. Khanjira will be the centrepiece at some sort as the Living Lizard God. I do not play any games, so this will be pure for my own and (I hope your) fun to create. EDIT: The above was my original plan, over time and thanks to the comments made by other Forumites, this has developed into a story. This resulted in more Factions I wanted to build and paint, so this Project now also includes Pirates, Conquistadores, Native Warriors based on Inca/Aztec/Maya cultures. EDIT: And now it will also include some Undead! *********** Captain Luigiano and his army had been travelling through the jungle for weeks now. The sunlight was blocked by the dense canopy of trees. Some of the men had contracted fever, and those darn mosquitos were a big nuisance! He looked at the golden plaque he had obtained. Gold, with a snakeman made out of gems on it. With this he had convinced the men to follow him. Somewhere in this accursed jungle there was a city made of gold, he was sure of it. They would conquer this city and become rich beyond belief. He looked at his army, they even had a few cannons. Nothing would stop them! Finally they reached a clearance. The men were pleased, at least they could see the sun again. They took a rest and a drink, tended to the sick. Suddenly they heard a loud roar from the other side of the clearing. Birds flew away, trees where falling! Some poison darts flew and two soldiers fell, they died before they hit the ground. A loud roar and an enormous terrifying Lizard appeared. One soldier died out of fear from just looking at it. Then the Reptilian Horde emerged from the Jungle. **************************

  15. Maledrakh's Raptor Mama

This year the minis I manage to paint will all count towards the resolutionary challenge. As per the resolutionary painting challenge guidelines, I will post them here, and link in my post in the challenge thread. With the refurbishment of the old house complete and it now up for sale, I have at last some time to paint a miniature or two. It has been more than a month since I touched a brush smaller than two inches wide, and I have come to the conclusion that I utterly detest redecorating houses, especially everything that involves masking tape. You might have seen the legless raptor I did some weeks ago? Here is it's mother: The family resemblance is striking, this of course being because they are from the same series. Lizardmen by Harlequin Miniatures, made some time in the late nineties or early naughties. This one was originally a riding beast. I think it looks great on it's own. If ever a beast looked both intelligent and ready to kill without warning, this is certainly not your chicken-sized velociraptor... Raptor Lizardmen Harlequin Miniatures Metal 25x50mm oval base by warbases.
  16. Here's a force I've worked on in a few batches. The concept for the force is that the Wraithguard are all ancient machines that the Exodites maintain, while riding dinosaurs into battle. Here's the force's farseer, and three Wraithguard that I added recently.
  17. Mine! -WIP Diorama

Using 2 raptors from 06198 that I got from the melt table/boneyard this last ReaperCon (minus arms for now) So I had this idea of a pair of raptors, with a dominant one perched on a kill and warning off a rival. Sculpey base for now, and I'll do finer detail with green stuff once it's baked I clipped the alpha raptor's foot off the base so I could tilt him up to have one foot on the parasaurolophus carcass
  18. Here is the TOTALLY AWESOME figure I received as part of the 2015 Spring figure exchange! Flamehawke did an amazing job painting and basing this incredible figure! Huzzah! --OneBoot :D
  19. The Dino Guy

Hello all! So it's a couple days after ReaperCon, and I had a blast! For my first official after RC, I've chosen to FINALLY paint up the Mounted Dino Rider from Warzone. This was one of the prizes I really wanted to win during the Spaceship Superstar contest put on so generously by Jasper! At any rate, this one should be fast and furious as I want to move on to projects that will push the things I learned at RC. With that said, this prep job took quite a while! LOL! So... nothing super spectacular yet! I should also note that I'm adapting to a Pixel Chromebook, so please excuse any photograph shenanigans that my result! Thanks for looking, and stay tuned for more! -K
  20. 14628: Darkrime Drake

OneBoot got her mini! I can share the limited pics I have. I'm sure she will take better ones. Anyways here is the mini I painted for the Spring Exchange 2015 Sorry if they look blurry a bit. Its why I'm hoping OneBoot can take better pictures of it.
  21. 03021: Velociraptors (2)

I needed some Deinonychuses for Pathfinder and lo and behold, Reaper has some! They are labeled Velociraptors, after Jurassic Park, but that's just how it goes. Velociraptor really is a cooler-sounding name. No feathers, but I wasn't ambitious enough this time to add them. One of these days I'll get far enough in front of my tabletop gaming to do something with actual blending in it, but today is not that day. These guys took about four hours each, most of which was me trying to undo an early mistake--basecoating in 09669, Reptilian Green! I hadn't used it on anything big before, and didn't realize just how much blue there was in it. It's practically a stealthy turquoise! I couldn't figure out how to blend it back into anything respectable, and it wasn't exactly what I was thinking of, so I greened over it with something more conventional (and less blue). My paint-mixing skills are really not very good, I'm sad to say, and these poor girls paid the price for it with another layer of paint. I think my brush control could also use some work, but that's what painting more minis is for, at least!
  22. Compsognathuses for my husband. I suspect I'm gonna to be attacked by them real soon. My husband's plan for getting all the minis he needs painted for tabletop RPGs is to hand part of them to. So I know they are going to be trouble soon, but not sure which game or when. I wanted to make them look feathered, but I couldn't figure out how to paint a feather texture. Any got any tips or tutorials for it?
  23. 50 Fathoms Yellowback

I needed a Yellowback for my first 50 Fathoms session, so I painted up this Harlequin Dinosaur (8099). I lost his rider long ago.
  24. Eldar Exodites

Here are a few minis that I got to paint up recently. My client created all of the conversions here, and sent them along for me to paint. I'm honestly rather fond of Eldar Exodites. They were always a portion of the Eldar force that fascinated me- especially back in the 2nd edition days when there were actually rules for them. Here are three of them. As I understand it, these are played as War Walkers.
  25. Exodite Eldar

My client is responsible for most of the conversion here- I did a little bit of sculpting, but mostly I just painted this. Anyway, here you go. Feral Eldar just might be the best Eldar out there.
