  1. Hi all and happy new year! Here are two figures I recently finished that Ral Partha has re-released, a ranger and a female fighter. The ranger was sculpted by Jim Johnson and the fighter was Bob Olley. Fun figures to paint, kind of bulky and a larger scale than the old Partha stuff I'm usually working on. and just for fun, I took a close up of the lady's face, because it always seems to happen that when a character has something raised over his head, the detail becomes smaller because your picture is so much higher: Anyhow, really enjoyed painting these figures, loads of fun, full of personality and a good hefty size. And they're metal, which is another plus for me!
  2. Hi guys, So here's a figure I got done a few days ago, a female human ranger that was made by Hackmaster I think around 2003-2004 and now is being cast by Ral Partha/Iron Wind Metals. I really like this figure, she's gritty and not a raging beauty.
  3. Ral Partha/Hackmaster Gnome Fighter

So here's an old Hackmaster figure that Jim Johnson sculpted quite a many years ago. I really like it a lot, gives me the feeling with the pick axe of somebody going into a cave for an adventure. I kind of wonder about the shield, as it kind of reminds me of a submarine door, but ultimately it's a pretty cool part of the figure as well. Ral Partha just re-released it with a bunch of other old Hackmaster figures as well!
  4. Hackmaster simian orcs

By request, some hackmaster orcs I painted some time ago. For some reason this this next guy is coated in something and I'm not sure what. It can be wiped off to some degree but I'd really like to know how to clean him up.
  5. Hi guys, So I just finished this figure this weekend. This is a Hackmaster Female Gnome Illusionist from a line that was created for the Hackmaster Role Playing Game, but was recently acquired by Iron Wind Metals/Ral Partha. It's a pretty nice little series of figures with an old school vibe and some interesting creatures. This is the only one I really have at the moment and decided to paint her up. I painted a version of this figure a long time ago, but not too too long ago got a hold of another copy. So here's the most recent version: and here is my original version, which I painted probably almost ten years ago I'm guessing: I'm kind of torn between the two. I think I like the color patterns all bright and such with the freehand ghosts, but at least from a painting aspect, even though not as colorful, the newer one I like probably a bit better. Way back when I had the conception from the Monster Manual that gnomes were grey with white hair and while I have overcome that conception, I was still living in that state of mind when I painted her the first time. Anyhow, there they are, enjoy!
