  1. I've started working in earnest on my diorama entry for ReaperCon... Nothing like waiting till the last minute... First I figured out placement, then carved out the wall. And now I'm working on actually painting it up. I have no idea if I'm going to be able to pull off the OSL effect or not.
  2. The earliest arrival of my Kickstarter bounty, we have an adventuring group of ladies in sensible shoes (and clothing), and some of their companions and rivals. They may see Frostgrave, they may see Faerun, they may just see a shelf, who knows? The party: The Half-Orc Cleric. I had suggested during the campaign she would also make a suitable Bounty Hunter holding up a wanted poster...I went that route. I regret not trying to draw Flynn Rider, but I never get his nose right. The Barbarian Queen: Tiefling Warlock: Witch or washerwoman Monk: Paladin: Noblewoman: Brigand. He must be after the shoes. Dwarf Queen: Thief
  3. This mini is from Oathsworns "Heroines in Sensible Shoes" kickstarter - it was an optional sculpt voted for and sculpted during the KS. I entered it into Reapercon2016 contest, but my dragon was judged instead. I think this one has better blending - but simpler. I just wasn't ready to try much freehand. (there is a little at the neck) I bought a wooden plank stamp so I don't have to just cut the lines in greenstuff myself next time. Comments and Criticisms welcome, as I didn't ask for any from the judges on her.
  4. The Heroines in Sensible Shoes Kickstarter was the first Oathsworn set I picked up, and I found them greatly inspiring. I tried out some new techniques; I flocked around the entire rim of the base due to their shape, and tried out a new method for fire. Not sure how I liked the end result on the fire, and I'll see how much flock lies on my shelves before I judge that. First, my favorite of the set, the Half-Orc Barbarian: The Human Fighter: A Wee Folk Rogue...she's billed as a Halfling, but I mean, c'mon, she's wearing shoes (sensible ones at that). Dwarf with a big hammer: The Forest Gnome Ranger, painted up as a Goblin instead. I find my collection lacking in Goblinettes (Goblinesses? Goblinas?) The Bard: The Dragonborn Sorceress, with her awesome bone staff: Some sort of Wizardy type: A very impatient villager: A nest of very bad things: And finally, some group shots who couldn't keep everyone in focus (woops)
