  1. Ventar - Champion of Chaos

    Once a mere gladiator, Ventars brutality in the arena attracted the attentions of the Dark Gods. Remade into one of their champions, he now travels from battlefield to battlefield seeking out those that can provide him with an entertaining fight. Presenting Ventar, an Exalted Deathbringer with Ruinous Axe from GamesWorkshops Age of Sigmar range. This one was a bit of a challenge as non-human skin tones are outside of my comfort zone, but I don't think I did too badly. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  2. Burrorwing Horror modified

    Greetings fellow painters! I just finished my first Reaper figurine, and thought he'd look cool with a few mods! I made his horns out of white plastic rod, and his tail spikes from clear plastic rod! I turned the rod pieces in my Dremel and sanded them down to dull points with a sanding stick. Then I carefully heated them over my heat gun to achieve the curves in the horns and spikes. I think he turned out pretty cool!

  4. 77376: Minotaur Demon Lord

    Introducing the newest demon lord in my miniatures collection... The Minotaur Demon Lord, aka Baphomet, aka "the Horned King", aka "the Prince of Beasts." This miniature was quite a bit bigger than the metal demon lord minis I've painted previously. A bit of a challenge, but I'm pleased with the result! If anyone is interested in the play-by-play of me painting this miniature, feel free to check out the work in progress thread on the forum. Cheers! -E.E.
  5. 77376: Minotaur Demon Lord (WIP)

    So, this Minotaur fellow has been staring at me in pieces for a while now. I've decided the time has come to get painting, and while I'm at it, make my first ever WIP post. Because in the words of the great Devo: "When a demon miniature comes along, you must WIP it!" End goal: mini to be used in my D&D campaign. He doesn't need to be display quality, but I'll still welcome your tips and suggestions to improve my work. So far I've just put down some brown liner and temporarily stuck it together to make sure everything is on track. Currently mixing up colours for the base coat... More soon! -E.E.
  6. So, as part of the figures that I sent to Malefactus, what I will call a treasure trove of classic 80's and 90's lead made its way northward from Texas to Nessus. This figure is the first to actually see completion under my unkind brush. There are more in the works, but this guy was so easy to paint. He's definitely in the tabletop category, but he feels finished. The only regrets I have are the ends of his horns (which don't really look red IRL) and the mould line under the horn on the bottom that you can see in the rear view. I am not going to fix it because I couldn't see it while I was painting it and he will most certainly see table time in the next few weeks (I have an adventure using this exact miniature!).
  7. 02646: Prince of the Undead

    My take on Orcus, in a diabolical red. Cheers, E.E.
  8. 03407 :: Hellborn Troll

    Hellborn Troll On a Plane of Volcanic Glass This brute of a troll obviously has some extraplanar blood coursing through his veins. He walks the the wasteland of his abyssal home across sheets of volcanic glass that stretch unending. Dust flows around his footsteps and he holds aloft a large shard of the glass to summon his clan with his demonic power. This Warlord miniature is pretty friggin awesome and was waiting on further inspiration to get from the shelf of shame pack in to my queue. I told him no for some time. There is quite a bit of real dust ingrained with the sand on his base. But with my recent ... lets be optimistic and call it ... flood of painting he finally made it back to the fore. You can check out the WIP post to see everything I did to get him here. WIP He shall now join the ranks of his fellow giant-kin to stand against the machinations of those grievous creatures who call themselves "adventurers." Enjoy. Check him out in the Inspiration Gallery. (approved) Added to Thrym's Index of Reaper Miniatures & Thrym's General Show Off List
  9. Tiefling Paladin

    Third mini....not bad at all...you hugs like it?
  10. WARNING NUDITY so LINKS. EDIT: Since Photbucket got Evil I linked my Putty and Paint Page here: http://www.puttyandpaint.com/projects/15073 This is my first take on a bust. It's from Kabuki 1/6 scale. Since she's a Not Red Sonja, I gave her warpaint like Conan has. I tried a freehand tattoo, it's supposed to be a stylized Dragon/Snake eating his own tail. I had loads of fun painting her. Here Is my WIP if interested. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/62241-ky-ra-bust-16-kabuki-by-xherman1964/
  11. I'm sure it's been asked and answered, but I can't find it. How do I paint a realistic looking skeleton using Reaper paints obviously. And also, I have a few werewolves, and I can never get that cool looking claw look. I figured it must be closely related to how to paint a skeleton.
