  1. One of our players is playing an Adamant Caste Alchemical in a game of Exalted (2nd ed., heavily modded). Info about them is semi-classified by the GM, but they seem to be sort of crystalline with interchangeable parts, a little like cyborgs. The Numenera Jack with the crossbow (or pickaxe?) arm seemed a decent fit, as the character is supposed to be somewhat androgynous. Here is the figure mounted on a fender washer for stability, primed white and washed with Burnt Umber.
  2. Right, so this was one of those crazy ideas I had one afternoon. I looked at Jason Wiebe's Bones Hill Giant and decided his anger would best be directed at a golf ball. So, I painted him up as a Scottish gent and asked poor Jack to stand in for a golf tee. Just for fun, the tartan pattern is based on the Black Watch. The base is made from sculpey. The little rodents are supposed to be Orkney voles as an ode to Caddyshack. I made the bunker texture using sandpaper pressed into the clay. The cap is greenstuff. The skin colors are walnut brown, russet brown and chestnut brown. The hair is highlighted with dark elf skin and leather white. Let me know if you want info on the other colors. I had some issues with my light setup, so excuse the pics. When I'm less fed up with the lights I may re-shoot them. In the meantime, enjoy!
  3. So, alas I didn't have the funds to order any of the others, except Chibi Sophie who has not yet come, but with Halloween tomorrow I felt it best to post these tonight. Jack. Patch Esme. And standing with his minion it's The Great Pumpkin Impact miniatures 'Pumpkinheaded General' These guys where so much fun to paint, and I do regret not being able to get more, but funds where not in it for me. Maybe in the future they will show up again.
  4. So this is my first attempt to paint a chibi and I am very happy with him. Unfortunately he is not mine to keep. Right after the Bonesylvanian announcement I was asked to paint a miniature for my game group's Halloween party raffle and he was the chosen one. Who knows though, I could win him. Any input would be appreciated.
