Clan Wars Naga Champion by Glitterwolf

A while ago @Jasper_the_2nd sent me some minis for my Lost World Project. I painted the Clan Wars Naga Champion to fit in my world. This one is a captured Asian Pirate "improved" by the Transmuthor and turned into a Serpent Warrior. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=110
  2. Here are three more Samurai Zombies from Clan Wars, I got them from @Jasper_the_2nd They are very nice sculpts and I had a lot of fun with these. WIP is here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79416-nippon-land-of-the-rising-moon-by-glitterwolf/ The Undead Samurai slowly advanced, nothing could stop them, arrows just got stuck in their flesh or armor and they kept going. Another volley, nothing stopped them! The now undead Toda Clan sought revenge to those who had wronged them. They kept coming, determined to slaughter their enemies.

    Gourls Paints a Demon Hunter

It's been awhile since I've painted anything in general, much less a human-sized mini. I also tried giving her lipstick. It isn't great, but not terrible for a first attempt. Just doing something at tabletop quality anyway (or it is for me).
  4. Hello guys and gals! So just got these two photographed this afternoon, two Children of the Night old school Samurais, from two different packages. One is a Female Samurai, out of an old Samurai Player Characters package or something similar, and the other one is a dwarf samurai from a Dwarf Player character set, beautifully and petitely sculpted by Dennis Mize. I painted them both at the same time in an attempt to use the same color schemes, hence saving a tad bit of time. I'm pretty satisfied how they came out, even though I have doubts about the female samurai's eyes. These are though very true 25 mm figures, really small, so I don't think I want to keep messing with them, as don't want to make matters worse. Here's the Female Samurai: And here is the Dwarf Samurai: Here they are together: and this is kind of fun, I actually painted the female samurai as per the records I found, in July of 2007, so literally a decade ago, and here is that comparison: In which also the eyes were a bit obnoxious to work with, but in my old paint job, they ended up being pretty large. The older version way back then would have been painted with craft paints and brushes I would have gotten from Michaels. So anyways, hope you enjoy!

    03524 Masaki, Ronin

03524 Masaki, Ronin Every time I look at this miniature the line "They call me Jack..." comes in my head. I painted him to medium tabletop but his skin, that was fun. That was something I succeeded with at above tabletop, so I don't know where to put him quality-wise. The white I figured, given everything that happens during that show, would not be clean and crisp as it shows up every time on the show, so I made it a bit more dingy. I'm happy with it even if it's not super-crisp. I could probably throw another highlight on top for the white, but I really feel that he looks better this way. I threw a few gears on the ground to indicate he just blew up one of Aku's monsters, and his sword is slightly less bright because of that. C&C always welcome :)

From this rock I will strike you down.

I was at a convention and found this neat miniature, and then in the parking lot I found this neat rock! And so I thought "this rock would make a fine base, and make the miniature less wobbly!" Funny thing: the rock didn't up being that heavy, so the mini is now wobblier. Oooops... :-)

    CAV:SO Katana (72221) Bones

This is a Mercenary Force that Mastergunz and I collaborated to create called Crimson Thunder. I slightly modified a scheme I saw in In Combat: Painting Mecha by Mig Jimenez and friends and ran with it. This is the first product of that scheme, a Bones material Katana. I cut the arms at the "elbows" to pen them and fix an issue with the material (bent and wouldn't boil out.) A pin and a little superglue later and it's good as new!
  8. This is one of a pot-luck batch of modern adventurer women figures I got from RAFM, a real mixed bag. Some of them are terrific, some ... kind of goofy. This one seems to fall a bit closer to the goofy end. She is in a pose my martial arts friend called "Kill Me Now", and her face is rather unfortunately flattened front-to-back. I figured I'd paint her up quickly tabletop style for use as a mook or opponent. I did get a little bored painting her just plain, though, so I gave her Goth-Egyptian makeup.
  9. Hi all, I did it! I finally finished painting my CAV Terran Force, which means that all of the CAVs I own (and got from the 1st Kickstarter) now have some paint on! Woohoo !!!! Well that will last only until I receive the goodies from the 2nd KS. Simba: Ronin: Katana: The complete force group shot: And finally, I couldn't resist to stage and take a pic of an epic GDI Vs NOD (eh... i meant Terran Vs Rach) face-off. I thought it would be a nice way to wrap up this painting adventure.

CAV:SO UTF Katana (And UTF forces update)

Look, I actually finally painted a CAV for CAV:SO! And here are a couple of shots of my UTF forces to date. May take a break from painting these guys. I've got lots of other figures waiting, or I might start another CAV faction.....

    Rose Red

Pulled over from my sculpting thread. Would be in Show Off, except there are just those tiny things which still bug me. That slight grainy texture on the face is getting really annoying, and I'm not really sure how to smooth it or fix it. Need to shadow the cape more I think. Sword is not as bright as I would like, but short of going out and buying a bottle of florescent paint for this alone, I think it's fine. Huh. Reaper Alien Flesh MSP is the exact same color as ProCreate. The patterning on the concept art... hahaha I don't think i can do much more than try and suggest it like what I've done a little bit. I already have trouble drawing it in with my micron pen.
