  1. So question about two of the figures from the Pretty Deadly group from the Bones III core set. #256 on core set picture (part number 77488) Skara, Female Skoli #258 on core set picture (part number 77490) Mara Frostblade, Antipaladin So on the core set picture, Skara seems to be holding a halberd(?) pointing down and her sword sheathed, but the mini I have, she is holding the halberd up and her sword in her opposite hand. and on Mara, the shield is the same more or less, but she has just a regular/short sword, not the bigger (possibly falchion?) weapon as in the picture. Did these two figures have a last minute change after the conceptual artwork was done?
  2. Long time lurker, second time poster, first time upload. Here is the Frost Giant Queen from the Reaper Bones 3 Kickstarter for your consideration. I was unable to participate in the Bones 3 Kickstarter as I came upon these Bones figures late in the game. However, the participants who were able placed their unwanted miniatures up on eBay, so I took advantage of opportunity when presented. I focused on Color Theory and Texture on this piece as she provided a very large palette to paint upon. These Giants provided me practice in sketching too, which makes the entire line appealing to me. Side note: Gratitude to those who did place these minis up on eBay without jacking up the prices. I was able to purchase the both Frost Giant Royalty around cost of what Reaper will sell them at Retail. This certainly displays an ethos in the Reaper community that makes this community stand out among others. Further, having lurked for awhile: the community here is quite kind and helpful. This is a good community of miniature painters. I like the Bones miniature range. The detail on this miniature was very close to what I expect from the metal range, and I will purchase more of the Bones range in the future. I am looking forward to the resculpt of Vanya, the Fire Giant Princess, and her new size to match the Fire Giants in D&D. The attire of this miniature is akin to the Viking attire of old, and I found my SCA ventures to assist me in painting this Viking Apron and embellishments. The sculptor did an outstanding job and I look forward to more of their work. The FAQs were an asset that made my first foray into Bones an easier one. I had difficulty with flash lines until I picked up some diamond files, which handled them quite well without marring detail like my serrated files. The bent pieces were fixed with some boiling water and cold water quite easily. The pieces fit together like a glove, though I admit I still pinned them. (My OCD was tingling.) I did use Krylon as Primer, and the tackiness disappeared after the first coat of paint. She was sealed only with Krylon Dull Cote and exhibits no tackiness. She has been handled and there is no rubbing off of paint. I like how her base was round, though I am ignorant of what would be an appropriate Reaper base to place this inside of. (I currently have the King on a GW Dreadnought base, and I do not like it. If anyone reads this and has a recommendation, I surely would appreciate it.) This Bones line of miniatures has proven to me to be a Good Idea and one I will support. I am already purchasing more of the Bones 2 line for my D&D and Oldhammer alternatives, and I admit excitement at the new of Bones 4. Based on the quality of these miniatures: you will have an additional participant. Please keep up the outstanding quality and amazing work. I hope you enjoy my efforts. C&C is always appreciated: it is the only way an Artist can improve. May your blends be smooth. Peace and blessings.

  4. Hi friends: After hard months of working, we´ve improved the game Iron League Blacks Stadium and the art has changed. Mechs and miniatures are amazing now. The board game has a new full cooperative campaign with map, scenary and enemies generation. The competitive mode continues and has been improved. So, we also want to change the title of the game, and this is: IRON WARS In July on Kickstarter. Soon more news.

  8. And now, for something completely different. Yes, yes. I know. Not miniatures. But! Shiny! Art! With.. with .. with stuff. *Sage nod* The book part usually gets shipped with efficiency; medals and patches and things seem to depend on the efficiency of the crafter making them, but communication is good and things generally show up. I haven't grabbed hardbacks; I've been happy with the soft covers.
  9. YAR! It's been too long since I've visited these forums. Life has a way of sucking the life out of you lol. Here's what I've been up to. TerraScapes: Caves and Grottos is my first Kickstarter Project! TerraScapes is a nonlinear modular terrain system that uses 3D tiles to create hyper realistic natural settings for any game that uses miniatures. I have been developing this set of tiles over the course of the last year and it feels great to finally show it off! The Core set contains 9 tiles with an extra exclusive Kickstarter Campaign tile. Every tile is indeed double-sided and made out of very durable resin here in the good ol' U.S. of A.! Their natural design allows for a near infinite array of layouts. Checkout this video showing a few handful of layouts! As an indy studio, I'm going to need all the help I can get, to get these tiles funded. If they catch your eye at all, please take the time to check out my Kickstarter page. It truly means the world to me! Kickstarter Page Link: Thanks so much for your time! Wish me luck!!!
  10. Hi all, just finished this one last night, hope you enjoy! Another really nice figure from Chris Fitzpatrick and his company Crocodile Games. This was from their most recent Kickstarter if I'm not mistaken. Thanks for looking!

  12. Bones 3 had a bit of an unfortunate arrival time for me, coming in the middle of an unplanned move. It may have taken me a bit, but I'm finally getting started on some of the pieces! I even took them with me for some down time on our yearly beach vacation, though my set-up here is not very scenic: That was last week, and now they're a bit closer to completion, with some details and fixes, basing, and sealing to be done. Some Bones 3 furniture snuck in as well:
  13. Whilst waiting for my Bones 3 to brave the perilous journey across the sea to the EU I have decided to paint up other models from other kick staters. Not only to play with but to try and make some inroads into the "pile" of 20 models. Here are three such models from a recent Kickstarter by Thunderchild Miniatures. These snails inhabited an underground world under what's left of a post apocalyptic modern world. I like these models as the are very quirky and have some character. Hopefully I can do them justice. First of all they have been washed, sprayed grey and then I have given the metal areas a thinned coat of black. The biggest of the three, the snail is a single casting. There is a separate throne to this model. as always comment welcome.

Just launched a Kickstarter this morning for something called SnapDice. In my opinion -- and I guess I might be biased :) -- I think these are coolest dice trays ever. The steel dice snapping to the magnets is so addicting. You can use these with any game that uses dice (d6 or polyhedral), but honestly, you'll probably just get stuck rolling them over and over for fun. :) Here is the Kickstarter page: Check out people's reactions when they first rolled the dice just a little ways down the project page...pretty fun. :) The magnets in the board do not affect the randomness of the rolls. It isn't rigged. In fact, we custom engineered the dice to be perfectly balanced (the center of gravity of each die is within .001mm of perfect). So, this dice set will actually be the most accurate and more fair of any set you own. We are also offering a full polyhedral set of steel dice as well. :) Hope you like it!

  19. Link The Drowned Earth... ...is a tabletop miniatures game where brave heroes and villains risk the dangers of the wilds for glorious riches and ancient technology! Played on a 3ftx3ft table. 5 (or more) models a side. Scenario based play. Beautifully cast, multi-part metal miniatures. The game is set in the land of Ulaya, a tropical world of flooded cities, overgrown ruins and terrifying predators. About the Development Process When I decided to create The Drowned Earth I had Four simple design briefs. I wanted the game to have: A Parkour/ Freerunning movement system. Rules which told a narrative through a dramatic reaction mechanic. A streamlined, elegant system which was quick to learn and easy to remember. An unambiguous rules set suitable for competitive play. Two years of development later, and I think I've ticked those boxes, and many more! The Drowned Earth is the kind of game you can tell stories about, without once talking about the mechanics or the dice you rolled. Models leap off buildings, guns blazing, dodge bullets as they run through open ground, and swing from vines to take key objectives. It truly is a cinematic, narrative game full of knife edge choices and story moments! About the Miniatures I've watched and backed a lot of Kickstarters, and passionately want to avoid the pitfalls many of them experience with late delivery, quality issues and production bottle necks. As a first time producer I have done as much research as possible to mitigate risk. To that end I have established full production pipeline and have actually gone through a complete production cycle with an outstanding metal caster, to deliver to you the best metal miniatures I can. Pictures speak a thousand words.
  20. Link About this project I've been making miniatures for about three years now, during that time I've made sculpts for various miniature companies as a freelancer sculptor. Now I've decide do to take the plunge and produce some of my own miniatures. That aspiration led me to Kickstarter. I've been busy sculpting the range of undead miniatures presented here over the last few months. They're predominantly 28mm sculpts, the Undead Heroes are larger at 32mm scale, to fit their powerful status. I consciously made them an eclectic bunch, including animals. My vision of the undead force is a terrifying mix of all forms of life, bent to the will of their masters. During the course of this campaign, I'll continue to sculpt miniatures to add to the range. I have a Facebook Group - March of the Dead, where I'm working on suggestions offered by the groups members. The more popular ones will be joining the miniatures here. The objectives of this project are to firstly see the miniatures produced in white metal by Macrocosm Miniatures and in your possession In a timely manner. If things go really well, then hopefully I can also get a shiny website made, so I can continue producing miniatures and offer them online. Anyway. I think that covers the background. Time to show you the miniatures on offer..... To select multiple rewards, pick one of your choices, then amend the total to include the grand total. I'll then collect the details of your order with the Pledge Manager.

  22. LINK In 1980 (ish) I got my hands on the original D&D game and played with my friends. Over the years, I fell in love with all of the books, especially the Fiend Folio. That COVER! Emmanuel's painting of the Githyanki! Man it is awesome. Then, In high school, I used to charge a whopping 50 bucks to hand-paint denim jacket back-panels for all of the metalheads and rockers. My favorite ones to paint, of course, were Iron Maiden's album covers. Derek Riggs' amazing paintings of Eddie blew my high school kid mind. One day while painting a version of KILLERS by Iron Maiden, it struck me how similar it was to the old FIEND FOLIO cover. I thought that one day it would be fun to draw up a mix of the two. The original painting was done on a denim jacket, which sold at an art show, just like the old days. Since then, lots of folks have asked me to put the design onto T-Shirts, so I figured this would be a good way to get them out there! Boom. SHIRT DETAILS Shirt Brand and Material: This is an American Apparel T-shirt. It is black, 100 percent cotton on the sleeves and back, and soft poly on the front panel, The result is a vintage feel, super soft, medium-light weight shirt that feels great and shows bright colors. It is a slim fit, 4.4 oz., side-seamed t-shirt. Sizes: The shirts are available in the standard "unisex" American Apparel sizes of Small through XXL. Printing Method: These shirts are printed using a Dye-Sublimation process. It is an amazing process that gives photographic results while keeping the fabric incredibly soft. You have probably seen this printing method used on mousepads and game-mats. I did not want such a huge print to make the shirt feel like a plastic suit of armor, so silkscreening was not considered. The shirt printer has warned me that there may be small, white spots near the very edges of the art, in the underarms or edges. However, the sample that I ordered is perfect except when really stretched out, as you can see in the photos below. TWO WEEK PROJECT Spread the word! If you know anyone that would be psyched for the shirt, pass along the link. The project is just a short, two week window. ORDERING DETAILS Backerkit: As with my past projects, I will be using Backerkit as a checkout system. This is a very flexible system that allows backers to order exactly what they want and lets us communicate after the project ends. Ordering more than one? Multiple people have asked me how to buy more than one. This option will be available as an "add on" upon checkout within the backerkit that you receive as a backer. Shipping Costs: We are using USPS priority shipping. Returns: These shirts will be custom printed-to-order. This means that I am not creating large quantities and selling from that stock. I will be making only the shirts that have been ordered and therefore will not be able to accept returns. Thank you for understanding. *Please note that this project is not affiliated with Iron Maiden, TSR, Hasbro or Wizards of the Coast.
  23. Hi, this is project of my friend, she is a talented artist. I`ll be glad for your help to make this project to life. Kickstarter
  24. Project: Captain Redbeard's Pirate Dwarves About this project Avast me hearties! Splice the mainbrace and beat to quarters, that galleon is bilged on her anchor and ripe for the picking! Bring us alongside Gibbs. Boomer, get ready on the gun! Pete my boy, are you loaded? Hefty, Sharktooth, Deadeye, follow me! Gyaaarh! This project is to fund production of a pirate dwarf crew, a set of unique miniatures forming a warband of adventuring buccaneers for skirmish gaming or a unit of mercenary fighters in a larger dwarf army. They are 28mm metal miniatures, sculpted by Mark Evans, who produced all the dwarf sculpts in our previous kickstarter. This time we have decided to offer only one pledge level, with all stretch goals being free additions to the set. If you want multiple sets just increase your pledge amount accordingly. Pledge price includes FREE SHIPPING in the UK and discounted shipping of just £2 for anywhere else worldwide. If successfully funded each backer will receive one each of Captain Redbeard's crew plus any applicable stretch goals- 1. Cap'n Redbeard 2. Bo'sun Gibbs 3. Deadeye Dan 4. Hefty Hawkins 5. Slick Willie 6. Sharktooth Jack 7. Pigwash 8. Little Pete 9. Boomer Svensson and Swivel Gun The Captain himself. As gnarly a swashbucking, treasure-hungry dwarf as you could ever hope to meet. He'll fight anyone and anything if there's a promise of doubloons which makes his crew a useful mercenary force to bolster any dwarf army (just don't pay him in advance). The captain's trusted Bo'sun, often found leading boarding parties or manning the ship when the captain takes a raiding party ashore. His aim is as good with his axe as with his pistol, as many an enemy has found out Avast behind! The crew will often mutter about hefty, but not within earshot of him. If you have a door to kick down, a bear to wrestle or a sandwich to eat, he's your man. The general opinion among the crew is the Willie fancies himself, with his goatee, ponytail and feather in his hat, he cares a bit too much about his appearance. Sharktooth is just a thorough git, a complete thug with a pair of wicked short knives that earned him his nickname. Rumour has it that Pigwash was once captain of his own ship, nobody knows for sure and nobody likes to ask because of that big axe he carries around. The smallest of the crew, some say he's overcompensating but with his blunderbuss he can clear a deck or blow a dwarf sized hole in a city gate. He's got you covered, the swivel gun is small enough that the crew will often take it ashore for some extra firepower.

We wanted to post about our current game on Kickstarter Rocket Cats in Space! This is a dexterity based game where you have 5 seconds to flick your Rocket Cats as many times as you can to mark your territory to score points. This is a game for all ages and is an engaging game that keeps everyone's attention of the game and not on the phone. Take a look at the campaign. How can you not love rockets, cats, and flicking? This is a ton of fun. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/vilegeniusgames/rocket-cats-in-space-relaunched
