  2. So lets look to the future, There is a dragon being made in bones plastic. I am going to assume multipiece so assembly is required. What would the possible price point be for such a dragon. OR asked another way- how good a deal is the $10 I would spend today compared to March

A news post on the Eclipse Phase site just announced a Kickstarter campaign for a second edition of the main rules. No exact date yet, but they're planning to release in October, so very soon. I will be backing this one.
  6. Link The Drowned Earth... ...is a tabletop miniatures game where brave heroes and villains risk the dangers of the wilds for glorious riches and ancient technology! Played on a 3ftx3ft table. 5 (or more) models a side. Scenario based play. Beautifully cast, multi-part metal miniatures. The game is set in the land of Ulaya, a tropical world of flooded cities, overgrown ruins and terrifying predators. About the Development Process When I decided to create The Drowned Earth I had Four simple design briefs. I wanted the game to have: A Parkour/ Freerunning movement system. Rules which told a narrative through a dramatic reaction mechanic. A streamlined, elegant system which was quick to learn and easy to remember. An unambiguous rules set suitable for competitive play. Two years of development later, and I think I've ticked those boxes, and many more! The Drowned Earth is the kind of game you can tell stories about, without once talking about the mechanics or the dice you rolled. Models leap off buildings, guns blazing, dodge bullets as they run through open ground, and swing from vines to take key objectives. It truly is a cinematic, narrative game full of knife edge choices and story moments! About the Miniatures I've watched and backed a lot of Kickstarters, and passionately want to avoid the pitfalls many of them experience with late delivery, quality issues and production bottle necks. As a first time producer I have done as much research as possible to mitigate risk. To that end I have established full production pipeline and have actually gone through a complete production cycle with an outstanding metal caster, to deliver to you the best metal miniatures I can. Pictures speak a thousand words.
  7. Link About this project I've been making miniatures for about three years now, during that time I've made sculpts for various miniature companies as a freelancer sculptor. Now I've decide do to take the plunge and produce some of my own miniatures. That aspiration led me to Kickstarter. I've been busy sculpting the range of undead miniatures presented here over the last few months. They're predominantly 28mm sculpts, the Undead Heroes are larger at 32mm scale, to fit their powerful status. I consciously made them an eclectic bunch, including animals. My vision of the undead force is a terrifying mix of all forms of life, bent to the will of their masters. During the course of this campaign, I'll continue to sculpt miniatures to add to the range. I have a Facebook Group - March of the Dead, where I'm working on suggestions offered by the groups members. The more popular ones will be joining the miniatures here. The objectives of this project are to firstly see the miniatures produced in white metal by Macrocosm Miniatures and in your possession In a timely manner. If things go really well, then hopefully I can also get a shiny website made, so I can continue producing miniatures and offer them online. Anyway. I think that covers the background. Time to show you the miniatures on offer..... To select multiple rewards, pick one of your choices, then amend the total to include the grand total. I'll then collect the details of your order with the Pledge Manager.

  10. LINK In 1980 (ish) I got my hands on the original D&D game and played with my friends. Over the years, I fell in love with all of the books, especially the Fiend Folio. That COVER! Emmanuel's painting of the Githyanki! Man it is awesome. Then, In high school, I used to charge a whopping 50 bucks to hand-paint denim jacket back-panels for all of the metalheads and rockers. My favorite ones to paint, of course, were Iron Maiden's album covers. Derek Riggs' amazing paintings of Eddie blew my high school kid mind. One day while painting a version of KILLERS by Iron Maiden, it struck me how similar it was to the old FIEND FOLIO cover. I thought that one day it would be fun to draw up a mix of the two. The original painting was done on a denim jacket, which sold at an art show, just like the old days. Since then, lots of folks have asked me to put the design onto T-Shirts, so I figured this would be a good way to get them out there! Boom. SHIRT DETAILS Shirt Brand and Material: This is an American Apparel T-shirt. It is black, 100 percent cotton on the sleeves and back, and soft poly on the front panel, The result is a vintage feel, super soft, medium-light weight shirt that feels great and shows bright colors. It is a slim fit, 4.4 oz., side-seamed t-shirt. Sizes: The shirts are available in the standard "unisex" American Apparel sizes of Small through XXL. Printing Method: These shirts are printed using a Dye-Sublimation process. It is an amazing process that gives photographic results while keeping the fabric incredibly soft. You have probably seen this printing method used on mousepads and game-mats. I did not want such a huge print to make the shirt feel like a plastic suit of armor, so silkscreening was not considered. The shirt printer has warned me that there may be small, white spots near the very edges of the art, in the underarms or edges. However, the sample that I ordered is perfect except when really stretched out, as you can see in the photos below. TWO WEEK PROJECT Spread the word! If you know anyone that would be psyched for the shirt, pass along the link. The project is just a short, two week window. ORDERING DETAILS Backerkit: As with my past projects, I will be using Backerkit as a checkout system. This is a very flexible system that allows backers to order exactly what they want and lets us communicate after the project ends. Ordering more than one? Multiple people have asked me how to buy more than one. This option will be available as an "add on" upon checkout within the backerkit that you receive as a backer. Shipping Costs: We are using USPS priority shipping. Returns: These shirts will be custom printed-to-order. This means that I am not creating large quantities and selling from that stock. I will be making only the shirts that have been ordered and therefore will not be able to accept returns. Thank you for understanding. *Please note that this project is not affiliated with Iron Maiden, TSR, Hasbro or Wizards of the Coast.
  11. Hi, this is project of my friend, she is a talented artist. I`ll be glad for your help to make this project to life. Kickstarter
  12. Project: Captain Redbeard's Pirate Dwarves About this project Avast me hearties! Splice the mainbrace and beat to quarters, that galleon is bilged on her anchor and ripe for the picking! Bring us alongside Gibbs. Boomer, get ready on the gun! Pete my boy, are you loaded? Hefty, Sharktooth, Deadeye, follow me! Gyaaarh! This project is to fund production of a pirate dwarf crew, a set of unique miniatures forming a warband of adventuring buccaneers for skirmish gaming or a unit of mercenary fighters in a larger dwarf army. They are 28mm metal miniatures, sculpted by Mark Evans, who produced all the dwarf sculpts in our previous kickstarter. This time we have decided to offer only one pledge level, with all stretch goals being free additions to the set. If you want multiple sets just increase your pledge amount accordingly. Pledge price includes FREE SHIPPING in the UK and discounted shipping of just £2 for anywhere else worldwide. If successfully funded each backer will receive one each of Captain Redbeard's crew plus any applicable stretch goals- 1. Cap'n Redbeard 2. Bo'sun Gibbs 3. Deadeye Dan 4. Hefty Hawkins 5. Slick Willie 6. Sharktooth Jack 7. Pigwash 8. Little Pete 9. Boomer Svensson and Swivel Gun The Captain himself. As gnarly a swashbucking, treasure-hungry dwarf as you could ever hope to meet. He'll fight anyone and anything if there's a promise of doubloons which makes his crew a useful mercenary force to bolster any dwarf army (just don't pay him in advance). The captain's trusted Bo'sun, often found leading boarding parties or manning the ship when the captain takes a raiding party ashore. His aim is as good with his axe as with his pistol, as many an enemy has found out Avast behind! The crew will often mutter about hefty, but not within earshot of him. If you have a door to kick down, a bear to wrestle or a sandwich to eat, he's your man. The general opinion among the crew is the Willie fancies himself, with his goatee, ponytail and feather in his hat, he cares a bit too much about his appearance. Sharktooth is just a thorough git, a complete thug with a pair of wicked short knives that earned him his nickname. Rumour has it that Pigwash was once captain of his own ship, nobody knows for sure and nobody likes to ask because of that big axe he carries around. The smallest of the crew, some say he's overcompensating but with his blunderbuss he can clear a deck or blow a dwarf sized hole in a city gate. He's got you covered, the swivel gun is small enough that the crew will often take it ashore for some extra firepower.

We wanted to post about our current game on Kickstarter Rocket Cats in Space! This is a dexterity based game where you have 5 seconds to flick your Rocket Cats as many times as you can to mark your territory to score points. This is a game for all ages and is an engaging game that keeps everyone's attention of the game and not on the phone. Take a look at the campaign. How can you not love rockets, cats, and flicking? This is a ton of fun. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/vilegeniusgames/rocket-cats-in-space-relaunched

Hi nerds, this is my first Kickstarter. Gotta take care of my gamer nerds yeah? There's inserts for minis, favorite dice, and dice jail. The slots are specifically sized to handle Magic cards with sleeves too. What do you think? I need all the sharing I can get folks. Kickstarter link Twitter: @3xoterricDesigns
  16. Up next is a hideous horde of Hobgoblins, from Ganesha Games "Song of Blades and Heroes: Hammer & Forge" line. There would be a Hobgoblin Mistcaller accompanying them, but the dogs decided to hide him instead... The horde, with Sir Forscale as a guest/hostage: The Khan: An ambidextrous heroine: Some archers: The rest of the grunts: I can say these are the first miniatures in a while I've painted for a specific game night. I finished them about an hour before my players arrived...and of course they explored all the areas of Grudd Haug EXCEPT those manned by the Hobgoblins.
  17. So I have been working on this guy since the middle of April, and finished his base and final assembly tonight, So I give you The Hobgoblin Cheiftain & Death Chicken! I am taking many pictures to try and find flaws, as well as to solicit opinions as to the best way / angle / composition because Infamy miniatures is holding a painting contest for this figure, and I can only send them 6 pics. (PS if you have this mini, just entering the contest will net you a store voucher of 10 GBP! Entries by 30 June) I will likely post more pics when I get a better idea of what to do.... Thanks for looking, and critiquing! Special Thanks to those that followed along in the WiP, as well as the Hangouts for all the encouragement and suggestions! George
  18. I'm thinking of collecting up all of the family and maybe doing a diorama.
  19. Here's another group fresh off the paint table, a grouping of naughty nasty Dwarfs from Ganesha Games "Advanced Song of Blades & Heroes: Axe and Brimstone" Kickstarter. I've painted them in gray skin tones, that way they can double up as Duergar, or be used as Warhammer Chaos Dwarves who are a bit far into the Curse of Stone. The whole horde: A Screaming Face Axeman: His buddy, the Glaiveman: A converted Champion, using the Possessed Champion body, Chaos Marauder Shield, a Marauder Horseman head, an axe off a Chaos Cultist Champion, and a sculpted cloak to cover up a gap, and also it was the same week PETA protested Warhammer. The Hellfire Caster: The Hellchain: The Demonslayer. This guy is actually supposed to be one of the good Dwarves aligned with the Halfling Villagers of the set, but with his demonskull hat, he seems to work as a worshiper as well. The Priestess on Hell-Disk: The Fusilier, dong his best Jawa impersonation:
  20. Dwarves At Arms is the latest Kickstarter By Macrocosom Miniatures for a range of Crusader and Norman Dwarves sculpted by Alessio Cisbani in 28mm and cast in white metal. It is a 30 day campaign, its has been funded and is working its way to the first stretch goal. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2076383099/dwarves-at-arms/description
  21. I skipped a few steps, but I actually remembered to take a WiP shot of my set from the "Song of Blades and Heroes: Axe and Brimstone" Kickstarter. There's also a few Hobgoblins who I started in hopes it would motivate the delayed KS package to arrive quicker (it worked!)
  22. It’s lighter, innovative, yet beautiful and functional. Starting from the CUBBLE Dice concept, stripped it from everything that made it metal heavy. Only the essential part was kept: the PIP display - the new HOLLOW dice is built on a groundbreaking idea, and it’s ready to be yours. We have completely overhauled the traditional D6 dice again, producing a die unlike anything the world has ever seen. Made of anodized aluminum, this dice has no inside, making it an empty shell. An inverted version of dice that we already funded successfully, this dice weighs just 1.5 grams, making it perfect for anyone who loves tabletop and dice-based games. Processing these dice requires a lot of time and multiple steps. Not to mention that the die is so easily bent during the machining process, we need to pull together some additional resources for this dice. Making manufacturing more of a challenge for us. More about this project on kickstarter.com and search "Hollow" or click here
  23. The intent of this thread is to work through painting the Myth minis at a tabletop level in order to make the game experience even better. I chose to start with the crawlers since the melee and ranged are hard to tell apart. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  24. A number of years ago I backed the Fireteam Zero Kickstarter for the big box of Minatures. Needless to say it has been quite a few years for this to turn up, and at one point I was not expecting any models to be delivered. (Funded April 1st 2014) Overall I am happy with the sculpts and quality of the models. Plenty can be used in a range of Wargames. I started with a simple collection and with both my two sons (4.5 and 6 years old) gave the following a coat of paint. The youngest helped with some of the base coats whilst the older did some of the basic highlighting. First up is four fire bone tokens (?) these were painted as two spawn locations for a game I have in mind for the boys to play at some point. Next up is a selection of insect creatures I plan to use these as Kaiju in Horizon Wars or CAV games as they look good at that scale. Here is a ghost of some kind, the plan is to use him as a monster in Frostgrave And finally one of the best models I have painted so far from this Kickstarter is a Purple Worm. Once again there are plenty of games that can use this model. Comments or feedback welcome. These models will be added to my children's set of Bones monsters for regular use, as they have helped paint them.
  25. Another recently finished project, some Halfling Wizards from Midlam Miniature's Kickstarter. The full school: The Headmistress: The Archmage (with an attempted theme at a mushroom themed outfit) The Scrollbearer: The Junior Alchemist: The Junior Druid:
