    Mouseling Beekeper - 77290

Here is another beekeeper. I love mouselings! I gave this one a honeycomb pattern on his cloak. It's not perfect but it it is so small, I am not unhappy with it. And I learned some things to help me the next time. So here he is, Grumble & Bumble.

    Mouseling Wizard - 77548

Painted this little guy up last night. I am trying to get 5 more finished before tomorrow. If my players make the wrong choice in the riddle they will be given, they will all be turned into Mouselings! He is very cute and was a ton of fun to paint. I will post photos of the others as I get them finished. C&C welcome

    Mouseling Mage - 77548

This is the little mage that goes with the Wizard in the Mouseling Wizards set from Bones 3. She hasn't been sealed yet so the orb isn't glossy and she herself is a bit shiny in places. Another fun little mouse! I even gave her lavender eye shadow. It was hard to tell what a couple things on her were. I guessed it is a scroll case attached to one side of her belt with a pouch. I have no idea what is supposed to be under her other arm attached to her belt. We'll see if she makes an appearance in tomorrow's game! C&C welcome!
  4. Hey everyone, I finally found time to tickle a few animals with a paintbrush... Fingers crossed I'll find time to do a few more next week... Also, here's a pic of part of the display piece we made for Salute; I think it's really cool, but then I'm a little bit biased! cheers, Michael

    Jacques of Martinque

This was a promo mini I got at ReaperCon 2016 from the swag bag. He's from Endless Fantasy Tactics. Had him sitting primed, ready to go for a bit now. Goal: get something painted and done without worrying too much since this week was stressful. I picked up the backdrop at the same con from Hangar 18.

Mice and Mystics - Core Character Mice

Ever played Mice and Mystics from Plaid Hat Games? Its great fun! Here are the main characters from the core game painted up to match their cards. The colors along the bases of the minis are to represent their color from the card, and to easily identify them on the board. Tilda was posted once before here. All of these pieces were painted using the MSP Bones paints. Enjoy! Colin and Tilda Filch and Lily Nez and Maginos CAH
  7. I bought some of the bones mouslings for my wife to paint. Well she never got around to it and I needed a druid/animal mage who was going to animate a treant in our game so I slapped some paint of this little guy. Now I'm really looking forward to the bee keeper one. I also have the rogue and assassin set too. I stole the shooting star robe idea from someone who was doing an eye painting tutorial on youtube. Mine comes no where near his though.

    3557 Valentines Mousling

    A little holiday cuteness.

    Burrows and Badgers Wardband

I'd ordered some of the Burrows and Badgers minis from the first Kickstarter and have another group coming from their second Kickstarter, so it seemed about time to actually get some paint on these guys! The final shot with the whole warband together includes the rabbit rogue I sculpted. I had taken an individual photo of her, but the photo didn't turn out as well and since it involved me sculpting, I guess I'll post it in my sculpting journal at some point. Anyway, hope you enjoy them and C&C are always welcome!

    A light for dark days

This was a difficult piece to finish. Not because how difficult it was, but it is the first mini I painted since the death of my friend. I had already started this and decided to make this in a gift to his widow. She is a very close friend and I wanted to give her something to support her. The text means: "A little light for dark days". It still is a difficult time for me and is a very emotional piece. The mouse is the Dark Sword Mouse Mage. I made a new tail with a lantern with an led light. Behind the moon in the window is another led light. The box I bought in a craft store and I made the inserts. The insert in the lid first had a window, but I changed that so I could place the text there.
  11. I had a new idea for a diorama with this mouse from Dark Sword. It's tail has a lamp on the end. It looked like a good subject for conversion to a working lamp. So I will make a new tail with brass rod and green stuff. I found an old HO railroad street light and cut of one on the lantarns. The original lamp is not usable. It is 16 volt and gets hot. I want to use a battery so I will add a 3 volt led light.
  12. This is the mouseling assassin that goes with the mouseling thief I painted earlier. I didn't want to go with a plain black cloak. I wanted it to look like red velvet. It does not look like red velvet but I like it anyway. He is a little albino mouse with beady little red eyes. His base is warped a bit and he doesn't want to stand straight so he will be glued to another base.
  13. Hero Forge: Archetypes 1 & 2 - Paladin & Rogue - Casting Type: Strong Plastic - table quality. I was commissioned to paint these miniature for a D&D 5e game. They are a Dragonborn Paladin and a Gnome Rogue. I am going to tag this thread with another thread that has a WIP of another HF miniatures. My over all review of this thus far is not great. I don't want to bash another company but I am not impressed so far. The miniature absorbs the paint. No joke It takes it into the miniature. The following pictures take about 4 rounds of diluted paint to achieve the color. I saw the video SamuraiJack posted about coating them. But as this is my first try and I didn't pay for them I was not going to attempt them. The likelihood is I may not get the chance as I am unwilling to purchase a "Strong Plastic" Hero Forge miniature to test it out. First coat of Reaper Brown Wash (3:1) to see the details better. It didn't help much; the cast of these didn't have the details show very well at all. Next was a dry brush: From dark grey to a lighter gray. Duel attempt: Bring out detail / add shadowing. It took about 4 layers of diluted paint. I standardly use a 3:1 ratio as I am prone to glazing/washing. Honed Steel, White Leather (which is whiter than the link, fyi), Denim Blue (also lighter than the picture) Forest Green, Intense Brown, I'm also attempting to paint faster too, Trying to get my production time down for table table quality.
  14. I have painted up a half dozen of the Mouslings from the Bones II Kickstarter for characters in a game with lots of odd races. This one is a hunter / falconer, except it uses a bee instead of a bird of prey. WIP thread here. Other figures in this group: Yeoman "Robin Hood", Druid, Ranger With Bow, Thief, Assassin

    Mousling Thief: 77287

This is a new Mousling thief from the Bones II Kickstarter. I've painted up six different Mouslings for a campaign. WIP thread here. Other painted Mouslings in the set: Beekeeper, Assassin, Ranger With Bow, Yeoman (Robin Hood), Druid
  16. Pingo

    Mousling Assassin, 77287

This is a little assassin Mousling, the second of six Mouslings I've painted for a seriously multispecies campaign. WIP thread here. Other Mouslings in this group: A Yeoman, A Ranger, A Thief, A Beekeeper-Falconer, and A Druid
  17. Pingo

    Mousling Ranger, 77289

This is one of six Mouslings I've painted out of the ten new ones from the Bones II Kickstarter. I'm a little ambivalent about the "girly" Mouslings with the bosoms and the hair and the feminine accoutrements. I prefer to think of the Mouslings overall as general-purpose, could be boys or girls. Anyhow, this one, like the rest of them, has fun and not too fiddly details. WIP thread here. Other painted Mouslings: 92743, Archer (Robin Hood), 92744, Druid, 92746, Thief, 92747, Beekeeper, 92749, Assassin
  18. I have a new camera and a new set-up for taking pictures. This is a figure from Dark sword, it is larger than the Reaper mouselings, more the size of a normal 28mm human. It is a nice figure and was a joy to paint, even if it was a bit pricey.

    Mouseling Warrior

Hi there folks! So yeah, I am new. Not to miniature painting on a whole, but to posting any of my work(s) for thumbs up and criticism. I have always just painted for myself or friends. I like to paint for table top RPG, and Wargamming. Long story short, I took a pretty hefty break from mini painting but got back in to the game when I started playing AD&D again about two years ago. I have always loved painting more than the people and players I know. So, after getting hooked on Miniature Mentor, and spending over two hundred dollars on painting supplies, I am painting every day! All that backstory nonsense aside. Here are the images of my latest Reaper mini. I had a ton of fun painting him. I made the rocks and moss on my own, using modeling materials. The round base is from P3, so it is 30mm I think. He is standing on a black Tamiya paint cap so he would be in the middle of the photo. Any and all comments or criticism are welcome. I will post others soon. I erm...ran out of bases though, so I need to order some. lawl (Pictures cropped on recommendation) Putting a Pixcafe link here. So you can see the images in a bigger resolution if you care to. The link goes to these exact images only. I am not pushing anything. Promise!
