    14536 Varaug Orc Warlord

I am back!!! After 8 months of not touching my brush, I am a tad bit rusty. Hope you like my take on Varaug. C&c is always welcome!

    Bjorn, Dwarven Warrior

Hey there Reaper people! here is my take on Bjorn, Dwarven Warrior using NMM. This was painted late last year and is currently being used as a test subject for the new backdrop and my new phone camera. I hope you like it. C&c always welcome. Enjoy.
  3. Updated photos of General Matisse I painted a few months ago. Would appreciate any c&c. Please enjoy.

    02607: Bjorn, Dwarven Warrior

Started doing NMM again after almost half a year painting my Skaven AoS army. What do you all think? Thanks in advance for any advice or criticisms.

    77299 Female Anti-paladin

For your consideration: Reaper Bones miniature Female Anti-Paladin. It wasn't until I started on my idea for the shield that I realized that *it* was the Main Character. Not exactly a daemon-possessed sword, but a symbiotic relationship none-the-less. Extravagant tone with bright, decadent colors. She-Hulk for the hair. Massive Voodoo for the dots. (More dots!) My cat Zen for the eyes. (He's a Tom.) Lots of non-textured areas to tell a story. Great player character or reoccurring NPC. A lesson of extreme - in Color and form. The armor was protective but the clothing was tattered like a torn mesh bodysuit. Heavy straps encircled limbs and the armored boots formed like hooves. Toothy maw adornment on the armor hints at hunger. A very introspective Pin-Up. I hope you enjoy. :)
  6. Greetings everyone! First of all I am so sorry If I create this topic in wrong place. So I'm kindly asking your forgiveness. Other than that, as the title says, I need suggestion help ladies and gentlemen. I am looking for a miniature figure, and this will be my very first tabletop FRP miniature which I'm going to buy for a current game, (Curse of Strahd, 5 edition D&D) But I couldn't find what I'm exactly looking for. My character is going to be a noble knight, an Oath of Vengeance Paladin in his prime. So I found some miniatures but it's not what I'm looking for. (14508) Vernone, Ivy Crown Captain (03324) Stern Kestrelmann, Paladin Hero (03348) Quinn Nolan, Heroic Warrior (03715) Erick, Paladin Initiate So I found them, but only one of them doesn't have a shield in his hands. I'm looking for to use some polearm mainly, and a greatsword alternatively. <TS: Edited for Commerce link> So as you can see up there, I'm looking for a medieval, heroic, plate wearer knight with a halberd, polearm or a sword without shield (or shield can be worn on side) Please help me with some suggestions! Thank you all!
  7. I do declare her pretty much done. She's done unless I have a midnight burst of "oh my gosh I must fix that thing". Not 100% happy with the chain, but I got it looking formidable so that's good. Not 100% happy with the hair. Highlighting just looked too cheesy, so I kept tweaking it overly. Mostly happy with her face; I got the character of it down well, but refinement is an ongoing struggle. Very happy with her red shoulder pad and trim. Fairly happy with the shading on the metals, but I could still improve. Other annoying thing: I literally cannot get enough decent lights to get good photography where I live. This is better than me taking pictures with a bunch of paint bottles around, but not like what I used to be able to set up at my old apartment. This house has atrocious lighting to begin, the lamps bulbs are too yellow, and when I do put in a nice bulb, the darn lamp has too short of a cord to reach any area that could be used for photography. The best I might be able to do is surround the area between the kitchen and the table with lamps, on the floor. And that would be in the way of my roommates and kinda gross. So I used daylight, despite the big ol' shadow, and my wimpy otlite (not bright enough alone). Enough kvetching, onward to pictures! Rip her to shreds! If you know of a way that I could get better pics without spending a ton on lamps, that would be awesome!
  8. Had lots of fun painting this, was supposed to be NMM gold practice for a future project. Any comments and critiques would greatly appreciated.
  9. I forget now where I saw this guy, but he was on this forum somewhere recently. I loved the sculpt and ordered one and this is the result of my flailing paint at it. I still only have my cell phone to take pictures with unfortunately. The mini looks a bit more crisp in person and and some of the contrast in the cloak is less flat than the picture suggests. C'est la vie. Also, I think Jerach would rock in Bones. I'm just imagining him decked out with some of the armory of virtue stuff.

    02725 - Alaine, Female Paladin

Hi folks, This is Elena von Greifenfels, Knight of the Order of the Gauntlet. The miniatures is used by a my wive in my Tyranny of Dragons campaign. I love the miniature and there are lots of very great paintjobs for it here on the forums. So please enjoy another one. C&C welcome!

    06115 Dwarf Shield Maiden

Another go at NMM. Hope you like it. But if you all could find the time to critique my work, it would be very much appreciated. Cheers!
  12. Hi all, first Show-Off post here! Been painting since the first Bones Kickstarter but wasn't satisfied with the results enough for sharing until recently but now I'm diving in. I had a lot of fun painting all the Bones golems together/in succession. It really gave me a chance to differentiate the appearances I wanted as they developed. I gave myself the liberty to experiment a bit and created more than one version of some. For the ice golem I wanted to preserve as much of the translucency as possible as he's already a nice glacial blue, so I kinda went to town on the basing instead. I like the stone golem but it always reminds me of Frankenstein's monster. The clay golem, aka, "Do you even uplift, bro?" - I know, geology jokes . . . I needed the second one to serve as a blood golem. I really like the flesh golem because he can also double as a larger zombie at the gaming table. Finally, the battleguard golem. Makes a great warforged character or iron golem. I wanted a tarnished look on this one because let's face it - iron makes for a really poor choice for golem materials in any fantasy setting with ice sorceress's (ice sorcerese?), weather altering druids, dank caverns, etc. Feel free to provide feedback too! In addition to learning the painting itself, I'm still understanding the nuances of photographing these little monsters I built a DIY light box and have a decent non-phone digital camera but it's still finicky. For example the flesh golem appears noticeably less vibrant red in person, while the brown clay golem is actually a bit more red-brown than this image. Despite having the same backdrop, as I know that subtly changes things. Anyway, enjoy!

    03647: Drago Voss, Assassin

Hey there Reaper pips! Just finished painting a dual wielding rouge/thief. Critiques to help me improve are most welcome. Thanks in advance.
  14. Hi folks! It's been a while since I last posted (or painted for that matter). But last weekend, I finished my modified version of Azarphan. Pictures from this miniature aren't found often here or in other boards. I think this is because only few people like his strange helmet (see here). I'm using the mini for a PC playing a cleric of Tempus (god of war) in my D&D 5E game, and wanted him to imiate the colors of his good (as seen here). I swapped the head for one from the Spartan Heads from Scibor Miniatures, in case you wonder. C&C welcome :)
  15. Hello there Reaper pips. This is my third try using NMM technique. I would greatly welcome any critiques to help me improve. As usual please be as brutally honest as possible as it is not possible to hurt my feelings. Thank you very much in advance.

    14016: Judas, Necropolis Warlord

My second attempt at doing NMM. Hope you all like it. Please give as honest a criticism as possible for me to improve. Dont worry it is not possible to hurt my feelings, so fire away. Thankyou!

    D&D NPCs: Dwarves (non-reaper)

Today I output the dwarves ("Dwarves Veterans" by Scibor) What I like about them is that they're bulky and (almost power-)armoured like an army from under the mountain should look like, yet still fitting into a fantasy plot. I was a bit worried about all the ornamental details on them but these chubby little tin cans practically paint themselves: sorry for the bad photo

    77300: Male Antipaladin (Bones 2)

My last piece, I'm still thinking about some improvements that can be done (the cape, the head on his chest plate). Suggestions and other comments are more than welcome.

    77300 Male Antipaladin

Needed a (bones and hopefully chip-resistant) mini for a tabletop character I'm playing and this fellow seems to be the ticket. Sure, the skull on his shoulder pad is a little off-putting, but it's not like the rest of him isn't. Threw about three hours at this fellow and was alternately happy and dismayed with how various bits turned out. The base is some Happy Seppuku stamped greenstuff.
  20. Hey Guys! It's me again, TheBeardedEagle. I took a lot of your feedback from my last miniature and tried to apply it to this second miniature. This guy had some armor pieces and different styles of metals as well as cloth pieces and jewelry. I had a ton of fun with this guy and again cant wait for the third. I think it is a lot stronger than my first but I feel there is still a lot of room for improvement. Again I would love to hear what you guys think and criticisms are always welcome. Cheers!

    77060, Bones Dragonman Warrior

So...first of my docket of 4 (other 3 pics coming later) is this little guy I painted up for GMPathfinder for Secret Sophie. I...Don't know why I have an fascination with blue DMM, but hey, I think it worked better than my last experiment with such. I know the dark flocking got TOO dark when I glued it, and I'll need to keep that in mind for future reference. C&C Welcome
