  1. Silervane's Minivember

Ok I decided to give this a go, with no expectations of actually succeeding. Also, rather than spam @SparrowMarie thread I thought I start my own. Day 1 and Day 2 were me painting up 2 of 5 Bones Ghast in an attempt at using the shaded basecoat method. Each took about 2-3 hours and I didn't clean up one much. I then decided that they need a better base so I threw the 5 on a base and added some sand and stone to the existing base. I then decided that I wont include painting the base in my modification to the challenge. Day 1 and Day 2: Day 3: Today I didn't get much time. And tommorrow I will not get any time. So I started some of the Massive Darkness chest's. I also finished sealing up 8 more chests that I finished up last month and 4 of the last 8 Zcide NPC's I need to finish. Here is all I got done. Thanks for following along in this attempt to force me to paint fast and free.
  2. DSM Sitting Mage

I managed to finish this miniature just before I left for RCon 17. While she wasn't the one that got judged, I though she came out ok. Though the photo not so much.
  3. Well, I had started Hirst Arts ruined field stone tower in an attempt to build terrain for Frostgrave. After building some of the wall section, I had a bit of a Cat-trastophy with them. My cat decided those pieces would look better on a cement floor... in pieces. Since I posted in the September goals thread that I want to try and finish the building of the tower this month I thought I would post where I was in my progress. Be warned, my skill are very lacking, as there are several uneven level, but it is a ruined tower. There are going to be three level inside the tower that are being pressed in an attempt to keep them level. Here is a shot of the pieces apart. I'll be more than happy to take any advice.
  4. 03760: Adventuring Kids #1 (Wizard)

Well, I finally got around to finishing this young fella. Didn't see table use but the two fighter types did for a quick encounter in Hero Kids (Light) to introduce my two nephews to gaming while babysitting them. Maybe next round. Here we go with the Kid Wizard from Reaper's Adventuring Kids pack #1. Thanks for looking and any C&C you feel like sharing. Always appreciated.
  5. DSM-1187 Sitting Female Mage

Not much, just a photo of the figure with some primer.
  6. 77349: Goblin Commander

Well, I finally finished up my April Hangouts Goblin. He is a relatively (for me at least) quick paint job. Nothing fancy, well unless you consider basic NMM fancy.
  7. RP Magister WIP

As typical to form, I managed to get some painting time in finally. Rather than work on something I've already started, I started something new. My new project is Magister from the Forgotten Realms Ral Partha Set that I started a while ago. I can link to my other painted works from this set to give people a feel for my progress over the last couple of years (if anyone is interested). But for now I began with my usual 1st step in painting the face. I also base coated the the rest of the skin (the little bit of it there is). He has been primed and waiting on my desk longer than I thought he would. Here is how he looks at the moment:
  8. Zombicide Amy

I made more progress on my Zombicide Survivors. Here is number 4: Amy. I wasn't comfortable with painting up the fishnets from the artwork, so I went with lite pink. Otherwise I went for close to art work. As with my other models, I went with no blood on the survivors. Only problem is the blade couldn't be straightened perfectly, but she is for gaming, so good enough. Here is Amy: Thanks for looking and any C&C you feel like giving.
  9. Boneslyvanian Bart

I have another installment in my painting up of Reaper's Boneslyvanian Chibis. Here is Bart. A uncharacteristically bright haired zombie. Enjoy. Thanks for any C&C you feel inspired to give.
  10. DSM: Angelica

Angelica is finally finished. I went back to my WIP thread, and I realized I started her over a year ago. She has been sitting on my desk waiting to be based for a while now. I decided to go with a relatively simple base. I really enjoyed painter her up.. I hope you enjoy seeing her finished up. I certainly do. Thanks for looking and any C&C you feel to give.
  11. Boneslyvanian Barb

In my attempt to further clear up unfinished mini's I am calling her done. She might not be the best work I've done, but I love the character adding the cigar does to the mini. Hope you enjoy viewing her as much as I did painting her. Thanks for any C&C you feel inspired to give.
  12. Silvervane's Zombicide Fatties

I realized that I had not posted the results of my completed Zombicide Fatties. Well here I am to remedy that. Several photos to follow. Note that these were taken at different times and on a couple of different camera's.
  13. Townsfolk Kids WIP

OK so I'm still trying to figure this new forum out some. So I thought I show my current project.
  14. Bonesylvanian Bart WIP

Well because I Metalchaos has been posting his great paint work on these guys, I thought it was time to finish up a few more that I had started already. Bart was sitting there with his skin base coated. So I started working on his eyes and then threw down some paint to block in the shadow's of his skin. the start of another of too many WIP's:
  15. Well in light of my February goals to finish her up, I'm calling Ami abandoned err.... Finished! I liked the model and started her as soon as she came in the mail. I decided I to use her as a test color for the huntress model from knight models I plan to paint later this year. She is not the best piece I have done but I had fun painting her. Know I'm debating getting a second model to put her in a more urban setting, someday. I even came up with a backstory in my head as I painted her (anyone else do that?). Well here is the result of my work on Amiryth Elmlighter Thanks for looking and any C&C you feel the need to leave. PS: Though I noted some how she got several white splatters from somewhere. I might go back someday and fix it, but with so many models calling me to paint, probably not.
  16. All these Zombies I've been working on lately have got me wanting to get to started something a little less speed painterly. So I decided to pick up my Christmas Elves from my reaper order over Christmas and get working on them. I got into the grove painting up the naughty elf so all I have is where she stands now. I liked how she was painted up in the store so I used that as my start. Here is how she looks at the start of the WIP: And of course here is the nice one patiently waiting in primer to be started:
  17. Zombicide Survivor Phil

I've had this guy finished since last year. I couldn't decide how to do the base so I went with a grey. If I come up with an idea I'll fix it later, but for now I call it done enough to hit the game board. I present to Survivor Phil the Cop. As a note pictures are quite as good as some in the past. I don't currently have access to camera I've been using and these were taken with my tablet.
  18. I haven't been posting much lately. Not sure why. But I finally finished up my Season 1 walkers. Thought I'd break my photo inertia with a group shot of them on a game board. Not my usual photo set up and not as clear as I could have wanted, but here they are.
  19. Best wishes for a happy birthday! :bday:
