  1. I will paint and create a Reptilian Army pure for fun. It will consists of many different kind of Reptiles and Amphibians. Mostly Snakemen, Lizardmen, Frogmen, Dragonmen, Turtlemen, Fishmen, Dinosaurs and Insects. I will happily include any monster I think will fit. Khanjira will be the centrepiece at some sort as the Living Lizard God. I do not play any games, so this will be pure for my own and (I hope your) fun to create. EDIT: The above was my original plan, over time and thanks to the comments made by other Forumites, this has developed into a story. This resulted in more Factions I wanted to build and paint, so this Project now also includes Pirates, Conquistadores, Native Warriors based on Inca/Aztec/Maya cultures. EDIT: And now it will also include some Undead! *********** Captain Luigiano and his army had been travelling through the jungle for weeks now. The sunlight was blocked by the dense canopy of trees. Some of the men had contracted fever, and those darn mosquitos were a big nuisance! He looked at the golden plaque he had obtained. Gold, with a snakeman made out of gems on it. With this he had convinced the men to follow him. Somewhere in this accursed jungle there was a city made of gold, he was sure of it. They would conquer this city and become rich beyond belief. He looked at his army, they even had a few cannons. Nothing would stop them! Finally they reached a clearance. The men were pleased, at least they could see the sun again. They took a rest and a drink, tended to the sick. Suddenly they heard a loud roar from the other side of the clearing. Birds flew away, trees where falling! Some poison darts flew and two soldiers fell, they died before they hit the ground. A loud roar and an enormous terrifying Lizard appeared. One soldier died out of fear from just looking at it. Then the Reptilian Horde emerged from the Jungle. **************************
  2. I was happily scrounging through my mountain of unpainted minis when I started to combine some stuff. Anyway. THIS is going to happen now. It will take time so be patient ( I know you're not, but I needed to say it!) I will need a big piece of MDF, and then start thinking about adding the rest of most of the Graveyard set and other stuff to this. Feel free to steal or be inspired. I have tried this with Nethymaul but she needs more conversion to fit on the roof , mainly her tail.. And come on! Kaladrax has the right imposing look for this.
  3. As I said before, I finally have a camera (well, it's actually my wife's new smart phone) that can take reasonable pictures of miniatures. Now I just have to learn how to take good pictures (and learn how to paint ...). Here is the Bones Mummy Captain. As always, I'm aiming for tabletop standard as playing with the miniatures is the first goal. I should probably start doing more/better highlights (any other CC welcome).
  4. The undead are always fun and easy to paint. Id like to accumulate more varieties in the future. This mummy practically painted himself.
  5. My Bones III Kickstarter fulfillment arrived a couple of days ago, and I've been happily sorting through them. I've engaged in all three Reaper kickstarters so far, but I doubt that I'll do another — it's not that they're not a good deal, but there's always a very, very long wait for them to arrive, and they've all been very heavy on the character figures, of which I really do have an ample supply. I mainly want the monsters, and it'll be simpler just to buy them individually when they eventually appear in the shop. I chose this one to start the painting with, mainly because it would be very quick and easy to do, and in fact it only took about twenty minutes. It probably would have taken longer if I'd actually removed any of the mould lines, which I kind of forgot about in my enthusiasm. I don't know what its SKU is; I couldn't find it with a (fairly brief) search in the online store.
  6. And more Zombies ( they come in large numbers, can't help it ).
  7. As if I don't already have enough projects, I can't keep him waiting any longer! This is Nosferatu, a limited edition bust from Green Monkey Models. I have copy 11/50. This sculpt is amazingly detailed, it's creepy and awesome. I'm going to try out some new undead skin tones on this bust and just have some fun. I'll elicit all of your comments and critiques as I go through this project as well! As you can see he's nearly 90mm tall, a pretty sizable bust. I'm going to clean up the little bits of putty I used to make sure the seams where his arms join his body are smooth and even and then use the airbrush to layer on some primer!
  8. 1st time poster longtime lurker :) Its my 1st time working on a ghost mini and I am looking for some advice. I and using the white basecoat then verdigris technique to try and paint this guy up but I feel like there is something missing from it. I also feel like the I need to do something with the center hollow part on his front side. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance all!
  9. Inhuman. Eternal. Undying. The Guardian of the Maze: The Lord of Death: He Walked with Dragons: Last of his House: The Eternal Hunger: Doomed and Dying: This set was a lot of fun to paint. Sharp detail and simple features. Non-human Undead are always fun and relatively rare in miniature representation. I hope they get a follow-up!
  10. Practicing spookiness before taking a crack at Mansions of Madness ghosts.
  11. So, I needed a little distraction from all the Reptiles and Amphibians... This guy just has had a nice comfy soapy bath and a trim with an exacto knife. Now drying and waiting for colours. Need to fill the gap between wings and back with plastic putty ( vallejo)
  12. So finally go done sorting out my box of bones 3 and decided to do the minotaur skelly to break the seal. I really the undying lords set. Such fun to paint and fairly easy for a newb like myself. As always would love to hear constructive criticism. AJ AJ
  13. I have recently been invited to a Kings of War Escalation campaign. I looked around my hobby room and much to my dismay found hundreds upon hundreds of unpainted models because I am a bad, bad procrastinator. As a result,I decided to do an Undead army, and have decided to use as many miniatures I already own rather than buying new ones, many of which come from the Bones Kickstarter 1, very very old GW models and some Mantic stuff I have had for years, the idea being that the undead army is a mishmash of former armies of ancient which all fought under the same banner, sworn to never rest until a great evil has been banished from the land. Plan is to work it up to 2500 points in a few months... We will see if I can keep my painting game strong. Here's the startings of Lord Calder's Host... Pictures after the drop. -------- "Before you sign this, you need to understand that swearing fealty to Lord Calder is no small measure. I've seen those eyes before. Dreams of adventure and romance, tasting the first blood on your blade, and helping slay the evils of the world. Maybe you're in it for the coin, dark knows I was. I know the rate of pay is high, and I promise Calder can pay it. Whatever your wildest dreams, you sign with us, you'll get it. But you gotta understand boy, Calder don't give nothing for free... This contract don't end with you toes up towards the sky, the ravens feasting on your soft bits, your family safe in the wealth Lord Calder pays after you take a stray arrow in the face. No lad, this contract is binding. For today, tomorrow, and the hereafter. We all die. Maybe you'll die on the field of battle a month from now when some unknown evil claws its way out of the earths to tear apart every man, dwarf and elf across the realm, dying in a pool of your own entrails to protect whatever sweetness you keep at home. Or maybe maybe you'll die old and wrinkled in your bed, a legend among men, songs sung and glories burned into the histories. We all die. All of us. But son, you gotta understand that someday, he will call again. It don't matter how long you've slept. I swear you boy, You'll wake." ------ Comments and criticism welcome! Promise Reaper minis will be included soon.
  14. Well after watching @Rahz paint up some of his Black Plague Abominations, I decided I wanted to get started on mine. So I though I'd gather up a WIP of my Journey through all the Zombicide Abominations. Modern: Season 1, Toxic CIty Black Plague: Core (x2), Wolfsburg (x2),Rat, Alpha, Troll, Blob, and Minotaur I decided to start with the Core BP set Abominations. I also wanted to try out my scale 75 F&G Unnatural Skin set. So here is where I begun.
  15. I finished my current semester of school a few weeks ago and wanted to ease back into painting with something simple and something from my shelf of shame. I'm not real pleased with the highlights on the cloak, overall I'm happy with him as he ended up in a nice muted tone. Feedback welcome and wanted.
  16. Link About this project I've been making miniatures for about three years now, during that time I've made sculpts for various miniature companies as a freelancer sculptor. Now I've decide do to take the plunge and produce some of my own miniatures. That aspiration led me to Kickstarter. I've been busy sculpting the range of undead miniatures presented here over the last few months. They're predominantly 28mm sculpts, the Undead Heroes are larger at 32mm scale, to fit their powerful status. I consciously made them an eclectic bunch, including animals. My vision of the undead force is a terrifying mix of all forms of life, bent to the will of their masters. During the course of this campaign, I'll continue to sculpt miniatures to add to the range. I have a Facebook Group - March of the Dead, where I'm working on suggestions offered by the groups members. The more popular ones will be joining the miniatures here. The objectives of this project are to firstly see the miniatures produced in white metal by Macrocosm Miniatures and in your possession In a timely manner. If things go really well, then hopefully I can also get a shiny website made, so I can continue producing miniatures and offer them online. Anyway. I think that covers the background. Time to show you the miniatures on offer..... To select multiple rewards, pick one of your choices, then amend the total to include the grand total. I'll then collect the details of your order with the Pledge Manager.
  17. So, this may seem to be an odd question, and it probably is. In terms of standard fantasy RPGs like D&D, AD&D, Pathfinder, and OSR what really differentiates a zombie from a skeleton in terms of undeath? Is it just that it has skin where a skeleton does not. So if a zombie loses all of its skin does it then become a skeleton? A variant zombie?
  18. Sent this out about 3 weeks ago. Tracking said received so posting photos here. Wish my photos picked up the greenish ghoul skin tones better as it appears to blend with the bone tones but looks a bit better in person. Also there is dirt / grit on the skeleton that didn't pick up well either. Nonetheless, I was fairly pleased.
  19. Hi all, after much lurking I've decided to post some of my minis I technically posted once before but I just realized looking at the old post that it was over a year ago! I'm really going to have to pick up my painting rate given that another bones pledge is about to be delivered! So I can definitely tell I like painting the bad guys better than the PC characters, probably due to spending too much time DMing. Anyway, here's some recent ones I painted. As always feedback is appreciated! First a couple beastmen from the Warlord line: How about a golem and some undead as tomb guardians? I diced up a skeleton into the base of the bone fiend too. You can kind of see the boot. I have painted some character figures as well recently. Here's a few Elves with an Halfling. I need to work on my faces more though. Humanoid faces are so much flatter than monsters'. Anyone have any tips for varying humanoid flesh or adding details to faces that that sculp might not define well? Thanks! Much appreciated!
  20. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/674003445/resin-rolljordan-necro-and-volmarian-dwarf-fantasy WHAT IS THIS KICKSTARTER ABOUT? This KickStarter is a joint venture between Royal Art Games and Impact! Miniatures to bring two incredible looking metal Fantasy Football teams from Rolljordan into affordable resin for about half the price of the metal teams to give more gamers the opportunity to own these great models. The miniatures will be offered in Standard team which have everything you need to have a full team and Deluxe versions that will give you sideline characters (like cheerleaders) and star players. The KickStarter is bringing the Necro Undead and Volmarian Dwarf teams into resin. The KickStarter is also offering the teams from the last joint venture KickStarter at great prices. Here are the team and pack selections for the KickStater. The Deluxe team is the Standard team plus this Deluxe pack The Deluxe team is the Standard team plus this Deluxe pack The Deluxe team is the Standard team plus this Deluxe pack The Deluxe team is the Standard team plus this Deluxe pack The miniatures in the four teams are the new resin that Impact! started using this year that is stronger and able to be painted much easier than our past resin. The miniatures all come with bases and are provided unpainted. The miniatures will require light clean up and some assembly (although many of the models are one piece). Impact! Miniatures has created several KickStarters and delivered to all backers on all our previous KickStarters so bid with confidence. We are keeping this KickStarter small and focused so that we can quickly produce the teams and get them shipped out on time. 21. Live

I remember that the first Imbrian Arts KS had a lot of issues and delays, but I don't know whether it was eventually sorted out or not so if any previous backers have any info it would be worth speaking up. The minis look good though
  22. Curious if there are any ghouls out there in mini-verse to represent the shorter races like gnomes & halflings. thanks! EDIT: Never fails.... I found one on Heresy's site. It's not a demi-human but it would probably work + they have some other minis that might fill some other rolls as well.
  23. And you can always use more zombies on the table. These came from KS2. They painted up pretty quick, base coat and a wash and they were done.
  24. So what class would a Undead Hunter be? Paladin?
  25. I realized that I had not posted the results of my completed Zombicide Fatties. Well here I am to remedy that. Several photos to follow. Note that these were taken at different times and on a couple of different camera's.
