  1. I created a little Graveyard. The Crypt and the Raven are resin models from Minimonsters, the Skeleton rising from the grave is 02043 from Reaper. The Tombstones and Fence are from the Reaper Bones III Graveyard Set. The pathway was made with Milliput and I used the Greenstuffworld Cobblestone Rollerpin on it. Enjoy! Likes, comments and job offerings to lead Undead Hordes welcome! WIP Here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-grave-by-glitterwolf/&page=6
  2. Dungeon Saga undead.

Another set of undead model used for alternative sources for my Dragon Raman’s Army. I painted up a selection keeping the colours simple. I opted to keep them on their bases so they can be reused in Dungeon Saga. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.
  3. Zombicide Black Plague models.

Continuing with more models for my Dragons Rampant army I grabbed a selection of models from Zombiecide. These are well detailed and painted up well for archers, zombies and skeletons. These are are painted using a limited pallete to keep them simple and easy to paint. I kept the basing simple as well. thanks for looking as always comments welcome.
  4. A selection of undead Bones

I have been busy painting up a range of undead model for Dragon’s Rampant. Nothing beats the Bones undead models and here is a selection of the most recent I have done for my Necromancers army. As always comments welcome.
  5. Hi guys! Yesterday I visited Salute London, a big wargame convention. I was lucky enough to meet some of my favourite Mini makes in the UK and pick up various orders and Kickstarter Pledges. And Philip from Bears Head Miniatures was nice enough to let me have a prototype of the undead rhino that is featured in his upcoming Kickstarter. I hope I will able to do it justice!

  7. These are the set BFM MLS003 from Bad Squiddo, which I have discovered is called "Vampire Thralls", although in my notes I call them "feral vampires" and I think of them as more unaffiliated vampire pirates or swashbucklers. (Although thinking about it, it would be really difficult to be a vampire pirate, what with the total lack of shade and all.) I painted one of them up blonde, because blonde vampires look extra creepy. There is a WIP thread here. As ever, comments, critiques, and questions are welcome.
  8. This is one of the three figures from sculptor Gene Van Horne's set 50157: Townsfolk: Ladies of the Night (or as I prefer to think of them, Women of the Regrettable Fashion Choices). I painted her up as a vampire in an attempt to show the dusky skin of the undead PoC, but I'm not sure I quite managed it. Anyhow, I really enjoyed using all sorts of unlikely colors that ought to scream "Beware!" to anyone paying attention. There is no WIP thread for this figure, but as always comments, critiques, and questions are welcome.
  9. This is Reaper 03042, the second version of Morrdha, Vampire Noble, sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. I don't know what his story is, but both versions are casting something from a book of Up to No Good, and both have a little demon thing lurking at their feet. I loved the lively cape on this figure, and the melodrama. I decided to paint him ginger and make his armor look appallingly rusty. Oh, right, and while I did not exactly do NMM or anything, I did paint his sword with pigmented colors instead of my usual sloshing on of metallic silver. There is no WIP thread, but I would be happy to answer questions. Comments and critiques are also welcome.
  10. My next project, also for my current Pathfinder game. This one looks like a real fun model and am looking to improve my layering technique as there are some nice areas on him to practice that. As always, any suggestions along the way are most welcome. Here is in his primed glory. Hoping to get a decent amount of work on the skin done today, looking forward to doing some fun stuff with the eye as well, but waiting on some supplies (read paint) to come in first. Oh and I totally forgot about doing a WIP of the base, but there ya go. At least there will be some stuff likely added at the end. :) Thanks for looking!
  11. 03383: Vampire Spawn

These are a couple of modern undead, Reaper's 03383: Vampire Spawn sculpted by Derek Schubert. I didn't make a WIP thread for them. Question, comments, and critiques are welcome as always.
  12. Clan War Samurai Zombie by Glitterwolf

For my Nippon Land of the Rising Moon Project. WIP Here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79416-nippon-land-of-the-rising-moon-by-glitterwolf/&page=2 @Jasper_the_2nd send me a bunch of Clan Wars minis for my project at a bargain. Here is the first one. The metal on the blade looks better in real life than on the pics, it is not that harsh at the 28mm scale... Anyway, first one of the Undead Toda Army is done. Hope you people like it. Likes, Comments and Bacon are welcome!
  13. This is Hasslefree's HFA181: Big Charles, painted up as a vampire (although he could do duty for something else awful and inhuman as well, maybe a zombie). I had accidentally acquired two of him and this seemed a reasonable use for the extra one, especially since one of my GMs is running a vampire-heavy campaign. He hasn't got a shadow on purpose because vampire ... There is no WIP thread. Critiques, questions, and comments are welcome, as always.
  14. Vordakai, Cyclops Lich

One of my favourite sculpts, quite a weird creature. I love wizards. I'm happy with the color palette, the blues and greens combine just fine with the skin tone and I think I blended them nicely.
  15. 02740 Egyptian Pharoh Skeleton

One day this will be a diorama with some archaeologists. One day...
  16. From the Kensei Undead KS. A Kubikajiri Demoness enjoying her dinner.. She is part of my Nippon, Land of the Rising Moon project. WIP http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79416-nippon-land-of-the-rising-moon-by-glitterwolf/&page=2
  17. For my Children of the Grave Project I'm building a Gothic style Undead army with some Demon allies. Here is the Necropolis Command Group I will use as a Command for a regiment later. WIP http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-grave-by-glitterwolf/&
  18. 89022: Alahazra, Iconic Oracle as crew for the Grenadier Undead Rhino Captive Carrier. On the base is a Bones Mummy fighting for his unlife with an approaching snake, luckily for him the Rhino tries to crush it. Part of my Shifting Sands Army : http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79372-shifting-sands-glitterwolf-paints-egyptian-undead/
  19. This will be yet another Undead /Demon Army. ( what can I say? I love evil miniatures). This army has an Asian theme. Undead Samurai Oni Asian Dragons Some living Asian Allies. Kirin Hope you will enjoy it. I created a background story for it, it is on page 2. Have fun reading! I will paint slowly and it may take a while, but I'm putting this out here to start. Since I backed Zentih's Kensei Undead KS I have a few of the Undead Samurai and Demons waiting I also have the Grenadier Wind Dragon ( alas without the two humans) and the Grenadier Imperial Dragon of the Eleven Celestial Dynasties And some Living Samurai. Also a nice Asian Graveyard Set. Some stuff that has to get painted soon..
  20. I started out with an Egyptian Undead faction in my Lost World but it didn't feel right. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ After some good advice from @malefactus I decided to move the Eygptians to their own thread. The first one is my Mummy Captain. Now working on a Grenadier Undead Rhino Captive Carrier with a Bones Priestess as Crew
  21. One of my favorite Fantasy races are the Undead, followed by Chaos and Reptilians. I already have my Lost World Project which tells a tale of Conquistadores, Reptilians, Dinosaurs, Undead and a lot more. However those Undead are the Egyptian Style and Pirate/Jungle style. This thread will be filled with my beloved Gothic Undead, Demons, Monsters and all things that go bump in the night. In my Lost World Project I tell an ongoing story, here I will post about all other dark things without coherency. There might be snippets of loose stories to accompany a mini or not... I hope you guys and gals and creatures will like it. Let's kick off with the critters I painted a while ago to get a feel of what is coming. Enjoy! ( or not) Bats and a Murder of Crows EDIT: I will include some Bones and minis. The bulk will be metal and I want to give this an oldschool vibe. Preferred minis will be, Reaper, Grenadier, Ral Partha, Rafm, Metal Magic, Otherworld and Early Citadel. The Asian Undead will be from Zenith since I backed the Kensei Undead Samurai KS and will get their own thread. Eldessa Necromancer Ral Partha Female Vampire Lurien and Aysa Bat Demon

Bones 77145: Mummy Captain. Part of my Lost World Project. WIP Here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=111
  23. Bad Squiddo Games' Dracula

This is Dracula from Bad Squiddo Games' "My Last Sunrise" collection, an assortment of vampires, vampire hunters, and a few auxiliaries which was released in a very brief Kickstarter last summer. Annie, the Dice Bag Lady, runs fun Kickstarters. The three vampire brides I painted last month are from the same set. I don't have a WIP for him. Questions and comments appreciated.
  24. (Note: I actually started these a while back, though they are not done yet. This is a bit less of a WIP thread than a how-I-got-here-so-far thread, which I will update as I get my old pictures organized. Questions and comments and critiques are, as always, welcome.) Last summer Bad Squiddo Games hosted a brief Kickstarter, "My Last Sunrise," of an assortment of Gothic horror minis centered around vampires. These two stood out to me as a little beyond the Hammer horror ethos of most of the other figures. While I was painting them I thought of them as "Feral Vampires," although when I just rechecked they are called "Vampire Thralls." I dunno. They don't look very thrall-like to me. Their tag line in the Kickstarter was "Float about in my night dress cooing for scraps? No way. I hunt my own meal." Anyhow, they have a fun, odd, lady pirate or highwayman look. All paints used are Golden Matte Fluid Acrylics. Color mixes are (usually) noted, but not exact ratios. Questions are welcomed and I will try to answer them. Critiques are appreciated. This is a slight deviation from how I prime figures. Normally I prime them with Titanium White (which I did here) and then wash over them with Burnt Umber to bring out the details. These I wanted kind of cold-looking, so I washed them with a cold dark grey mixed from Burnt Sienna and Ultramarine Blue. That's them on the left. For a while I was including Bad Squiddo's "Dracula" in the photos, so you get a free peek at that too. And as per usual, the first thing I did was their skin. In contrast to the skin of living humans, I have been painting vampire skin in stark black-and-white mixed from Titanium White and Carbon Black. The very first layer is thinned Titanium White, then pale shadows of the lightest grey.
  25. Help me fix these skeletons

Hi everyone, I need your help. I feel as if I am at a bit of an impasse. I am currently painting an armed force of ancient skeletons. The primary reasons for taking this project was to practice my OSL on the eyes, and trying my hand at verdigris for the first time. I love how both the skeletons and the ancient metal are coming out. However, I feel as if there is not enough contrast on the models, and when viewing them from tabletop distance, they look too... homogeneous. Do they look "boring" to anyone else? Does anyone else have a suggestion for how to fix them?
