    Medium Fire Elemental

I was interested in trying out the Vallejo fluorescent paints, and saw that James Wappel on his blog had painted the Bones Medium Fire Elemental in them. Heavily inspired by his work (i.e. I shamelessly stole and copied), I tried the same as a little test run (I'd like to use these paints on some bigger fire elementals down the road). The paints were very different to work with, and I wasn't really able to thin them very successfully (using just water). Painting wasn't therefore so much an exercise in blending as it was pushing quite thick paint around and trying to get it where I wanted it. Nevertheless, the paints really glow, and the mini looks quite striking from a little distance on the tabletop. I'll definitely be coming back to these paints!
