  1. Howdy, From the boardgame, The Soldier of Hel... I got an eternal quester vibe off this guy, Kev!
  2. Been painting Blood Rage again, for a friend, and thought I'd post the pics of what I got so far for the big guys. Most of the shading and detail work done, planning on making the skin less glossy by finish and still need to base. Any C&C welcome. P.S. "Frost giant says pls no I'm not ready."

    The Troll

The Troll, from Blood Rage board game by CMON. Highlights attempted with dusk sunlight from upper right direction. First attempt at painting gems (rubies amd emeralds). This was a bad mini to paint, due to entire areas not being accesible without cutting the figure apart (i.e. behind the handle, underneath the loincloth, the feet and hands).

    Fire Giant

Fire Giant, miniature in Blood Rage board game by CMON. Second attempt at Object Source Lighting, and first at actual flames, lava and red hot sword.

    Kev!'s Blood Rage - Troll

Howdy, More Board Game goodness... Kev!

    Sea Serpent WIP

    Yay, more painting!

    Blood Rage Fire Giant

This was my first paid commission. The paint scheme wasn't mine, I was given a photo to copy and I don't know whose work to credit in that respect. However, I'm happy with the result (as was my customer). C&C welcome and appreciated! ~Magenta

    Blood Rage

Wow I feel really outclassed here but I've gotta start somewhere... Painted these for a friend's birthday, it was several months past his birthday when I finished, lol. Unfortunately before I could properly finish he had to move so I had to rush and couldn't do as much as I'd like. A lot of bases remained unpainted, and some touch ups on some of the skintones that I was planning on doing after had to be left as they were. Not sure how many I can fit before it starts flagging me as spam so I'm just gonna show a photo of all of them, and then some of the monsters. They're the ones I'm most satisfied with. Blood Rage - Fire Giant

This is the second figure from Blood Rage the Boardgame, the Fire Giant. Again I have followed Sorastro's tutorial (link) and it was a blast. The OSL was especially challenging and not half as I wished it would turn out. But still, progress was made and that is what matters I guess. My photography is very much lacking but here's another shot with a white background: I think it looks better with dimmed shadows :) Anyways, thanks for looking and C&C is always welcome.

    Blood Rage - Frost Giant

I have started painting Blood Rage the Boardgame's figures lately. The first two are the Frost and Fire Giants. For both I have followed Sorastro's uncanny tutorial to the letter (Youtube link here). It was a joy to follow his splendid instructions and I have learnt a lot. The snow was made from baking powder (using baking powder + pva glue + vlc dead white) since I did not have the means to procure any snow effects where I live. Comments and critique is always welcome. My photography skills are still lacking but thanks for looking.

    Lidless Eye Hobbies: Blood Rage

After many distractions and other projects, I've finally finished my set of miniatures from the "Blood Rage" board game by CMoN. I've been working on them on and off (mostly off) for over a year...the first few Giants were finished over a year ago according to my Facebook memories. I've posted some of the monsters before, but I figured I'd put them in this Show Off as well as part of the set. First, we have the Gods of Asgard: Odin: Heimdall: Tyr: Frigga: Thor: Loki:
  12. I think "Corporeal Shadow" and I are going to be good friends. Washes to follow.
  13. Werewolvians

Blood Rage: Mystic Troll (KS exclusive)

Though I think the original artwork for this guy is way better than the figure, this guy is still pretty cool.
  14. Werewolvians

    Blood Rage (CMON) Mountain Giant

I have yet to actually play this game, but I'm digging the miniatures.
  15. Adding to the eternal march of the Giants, my first completed pieces from the "Blood Rage" Kickstarter are the big guys. First we have the Frost Giant: A rather bestial Fire Giant, who apparently got the short end of the sealant on his crown...to be fixed, as I only noticed now: The Mountain Giant (my personal favorite and one of the reasons I had to back it, as a Kickstarter exclusive) The slightly less giant Troll: And some group shots: And one with Sir Forscale, for scale:
  16. Werewolvians

    Fenrir-- Blood Rage (CMON)

    Odin's Bane.
  17. Werewolvians

    Blood Rage (CMON) Frost Giant

Sorry. I don't think this has a item number. It's part of the boxed game. Anyway, having fun painting my Blood Rage. I like the savage Frost Giant look as opposed to the Viking looking one.
