  1. Disemboweler

    Gripping Beast, Crusader War Band

This is my Crusader Warband for SAGA: The Crescent and the Cross. Although the painting and bases are all mine, I can't take credit for the shields. Those are decals. It would have been nice to take the time to paint each one but when you are painting an army, time is in short supply.
  2. Disciple of Sakura

    Bones Crusaders

Spent some time painting up all the Bones 3 Crusaders, plus the Core set minis from Bones 2 and 3 with the same Crusaders emblem on them. I based their colors on the Order of the White Lotus from Avatar: tLAB, and did a weapon swap on one because I felt like a bit more diversity in equipment.
  3. Sanael

    77077 Finari

From my lunch sessions WiP. This mini is very much "get off my table now" quality. I expect to use her in my Eberron campaign as an Emerald Claw officer or Blood of Vol cultist (hence the blood drop on her shield). She's actually the second Finari I've painted, pretty well in the same color scheme, but the other was actually for a PC in a short-lived Ptolus campaign. I really like the sculpt, one of my favorite Klockes. This particular mini was from the first Bones KS, and she had a serious problem on her face in casting: pretty well everything from her left cheek to collarbone was a thick piece of flash, and most of her face was pretty soft in detail. So I carved a bit and ended up with what you see here. Also roughly removed the Crusaders symbols on her armor and shield. I do need to clean up her base, but I'll do that in a batch with a bunch of minis. Enough talk, here she is:
  4. Been working on this guy lately. Trying to knock the dust off my brushes a little. The pics are fair but I need to still purchase a photo box so cell phone it is.. I gave him a beard cause he wanted one. He will add to my unending pile of crusaders, but at least he will have some paint:)
  5. Hello there Reaper pips. This is my third try using NMM technique. I would greatly welcome any critiques to help me improve. As usual please be as brutally honest as possible as it is not possible to hurt my feelings. Thank you very much in advance.
  6. Since my account crash I've posted my work again, I had to make new pics from this one. When I met my girlfriend I had Odin, A Boxer Dog. ( I always have Boxers, their playful, clownesc behaviour appeals to me. Real family dogs but make no mistake they protect their family). Well her daughters ( now my stephdaughters, I feel like they are my own) liked him very much. Especially the youngest who was like 9 at the time, Odin was 8. He jumped through hoops for her, searched for perfum ridden tissues she hid in the garden. They were big friends. The oldest too, but she had the closest connection. So I painted up Garr as Odin, cut the tail. Even the shield got a camo scheme, cause Odin wore gear like that sometimes. she loved is and it is still in her room. Then came 2011, a bad year. First my father died. So sad. some 4 months later Odin hid in the garden. Wouldn't eat or play. Now when a boxer does that, you're too late. They are very tough guys and almost never show pain, when they do it is serious and when they hide they are almost done for. So the vet diagnosed a belly full of cancer. I took him home, let the girls say goodbye and then that night we let him go. The youngest still owns his collar and photo, even though we have a new Boxer since 2013 ( Brutus, this time a white one with a big brown/black spot on the left side of his head. This time the oldest has the closest connection, he sleeps on her on the couch like a big baby). So as a tribute to Odin and the love humans and dogs can feel for each other I give you ODIN. No one can take away the friendship we shared.
  7. Hey Guys! It's me again, TheBeardedEagle. I took a lot of your feedback from my last miniature and tried to apply it to this second miniature. This guy had some armor pieces and different styles of metals as well as cloth pieces and jewelry. I had a ton of fun with this guy and again cant wait for the third. I think it is a lot stronger than my first but I feel there is still a lot of room for improvement. Again I would love to hear what you guys think and criticisms are always welcome. Cheers!
  8. I give you 14213: Lady Devona, Crusaders Mage: Pending in the inspiration gallery, and I have updated my Index post. As always, C & C welcome!
  9. Dai-Mongar

    Acacia, Ivy Crown Sergeant (14545)

Finished up Acacia today, hoping to get some more Warlord stuff painted up soon to entice friends into playing. Just a tabletop job for the most part, nothing fancy. I did use some Italian herbs as leaf litter on her base though, and now she kind of smells like pizza. C&C welcome!
  10. I attended PAX-East back in April and tried the Reaper Mini Paint a Mini for an Hour and have been hooked on painting minis ever since. This is the first post-PAX mini I painted.
