  1. Crypt - graveyard expansion

Hi, I finally managed to post some pictures of the Crypt from the Bones 3 graveyard expansion I painted. I went with a simple paint scheme with a heavy dose of washes and over-brush + dry-brush to cover these large areas and keep them interesting. For the inside, I decided to give the markings on the floor an eerie glow and had fun practicing with my airbrush on the tiles. I really like how they molded the door hinge to allow it to swing open. It allows for some fun pics.. Peek a BOO!
  2. Hey all, DMAgamus here. It was the extra spoopy time of year again, and I always put on a special game to celebrate. WHat better thing to pain, then, than pieces from the graveyard expansion of bones 3. I present to you, the crypt at the edge of the wilds! The Halloweenies! ANd their minion, Pete the Grave Golem! Also, I've added on pics of the full board, for fun. It was a great time had by all. Album link:Halloween Painting and Set Up
  3. When I got my Bones III Obsidian Crypt I had a little idea. https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/crypt/latest/77637 I put Kaladrax ( now Discontinued) on it. She made it her throne! I also included some pieces of the Bones III Graveyard Set, and a few other pieces I had laying around. One statue is broken because Kaladrax swung her tail when she landed. I made some roses with the basing stuff @knarthex had send me a while ago. Also my first real attempt at marble. I made red marble and white/yellow marble for the Crypt. WIP here if interested. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/75896-kaladrax-on-mausoleum-by-glitterwolf/& So without further ado here is Kaladrax on her Mausoleum! Hope you like it. Feel free to like, comment and praise. Any complaints...talk to the Dragon!
  4. Lidless Eye Hobbies vs Bones 3

I've completed a second batch of miniatures from Bones 3. I'm glad to be done with them, and some may have been a bit rushed; I bit off a bit more than I could chew. The Plague Marines, Cave Goblins, and some random others were all on the table at the same time. First, a group shot: A bundle of terrain, from the Crypt expansion. One wall is not, and was a sample from the ReaperCon swag bag. It just snuck in! Goremaw, the Devourer of paint! I'm so glad I used craft paints on him, I'm not sure how many bottles of purple I would have gone through otherwise. A Halfling Stereotype. You'd see a statue like this in front of any fantasy pizza place. I hadn't noticed that moldline across his chest until I was uploading the photo...yikes! "Hey you guuuys!" I really enjoyed painting this one. I experimented a bit with his skin and tried to match him to the pale tones of the D&D pre-paint Fomorians. He's not quite there, but I like how he came out. Bandit. One of my favorites from the set. "Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt" gave me a new appreciation for the simple thugs that show up in every game. I hadn't realized he was meant to be wearing pants until I was inking him, and saw the patch over the knee. I liked the lesser-dressed look, so I painted it up to be a bloody bandage slapped over the knee instead. Half-Orc Merchant. Not much to be said about him, I just painted him in the style of my Warhammer Empire troops. Lastly, a bunch of Dwarves. Beagle knows it's not a Kickstarter unless it has a Dwarf or two in it.
  5. So, I puzzled over what would be the first thing I would paint from Bones 3; and I decided tonight: the Crypt from the Graveyard Expansion. When I took it out of the package, I saw that the roof of the crypt is very clearly metal plates; and I figured this was a chance for me to try some verdigris, I think it's turning out all right. Here's the progress I made tonight: Base coated the walls, door, floor, and 77137 (Sarcophagus by B. Ridolfi) with RLM grey from Tamiya. Mixed sky blue and cockpit green from Tamiya to make the base verdigris color: stippled on some lavender color (it's one of the Reaper sample paints I got with no name/number attached), and then using Tamiya purple to fill in the summoning circle: Black/brown wash over the floor and I think you can clearly tell evil things are going to be happening here, really soon: Moving back to the roof; I broke out my Tamiya bronze and stippled that rather heavily over the roof: Had to test fit everything together, because reasons, obviously: That's it for today, but it's more paint than I've put on anything in months, so I'm happy; and I'm looking forward to digging through the rest of this expansion: C&C welcome; thanks for taking a look. ~Josh
  6. This is what I'll be using as a casket of souls in my warhammer undead army. Finally it will be a part of a greater diorama, so it has a place to rest in the shelf. This was a lot of fun to paint. Miniatures used: Crypt of the vampiress; 02990 Ghostly Summons; 77095 (Bones) Victim, from Altar of Evil + Victim; 02580 (Unable to locate just the victim when I tried to find it again) Altar of Evil; 77139 (Bones) Base from Warhammer graveyard set Skull beads (eBay) Q-Tips :P Nudity1 Nudity2 Nudity3 Close-up of altar: Added closeup of vampire:
  7. So, this is a rather big project for me. been in the planning stage for a long time now. Almost afraid to start.. I am not much fan of the egyptian parts of the warhammer undead armies, and decided I want to try having a more gothic undead army, which means creating my own stuff to proxy. I got a little carried away, and decided to make all of this into a little diorama. Ordered a ton of bits and pieces, and had to pay through the nose in government custom fees.. but what can you do? :D Anyway, here is a little test of how things will be: So far it consists of: 2xNightspectres, 77099 Ghostly summons, 77095 Dragoth the Defiler, 30010 Crypt of the Vampiress, 02990 Altar of Evil, 77139 Female: Victim, (P02580C) Shannon (body), (P02083A) Back of Throne (P02068B). .. and some jewlerybead skulls..
  8. Here's another Bones dungeon dressing that I finished up the other day. I really love this sculpt, and it translated quite well to Bones. Hopefully my photos do it justice; I had a hard time figuring out how best to pose this thing for photos. I'm quite happy with how the marble came out. It doesn't show up well in these photos, but I went over the marble areas with gloss varnish, to give it a nicely polished look. The gold trim was originally going to be done in gold NMM, but I decided I was ready to move on and get this done, so I used some P3 Blighted Gold. Side note: My paints are almost exclusively Reaper MSP/MSP HD, but I've never had much luck with their metallics, so I picked up a couple P3's to try out. This P3 gold is so much easier to use than the Reaper metallics I have. It behaves better, goes on smoother, and generally acts like 'normal' Reaper paints. I love most of my Reaper paints, but P3 has got them beat on metallics. Comments welcome!

  10. Otherwise titled by my daughter as: Zombie Friends Are Bowling Together Dedicated to my awesome little girl. She loves Scooby Doo and is fascinated with all of my plastic D&D junk. Funny seeing things from a much younger point of view. 4 Reaper minis were painted for this. The 2 ghasts, the archway/crypt gate and the Hero ranger. A bit R rated...Hope you enjoy :)
