  1. Reaper Bones Succubus

Finally finished this demon chick (Reaper 77281) to decent tabletop stadard. She had been sitting on my bench half painted a long time. Her face had a flash line on one side, so I tried to make it look like a fresh wound.
  2. This one is cool, IMO. Ever wished that Shadow Demon came in a different color than Purple? Once again, presenting my experiments with translucent Bones and Tamiya Clears. Warning Pic Heavy First off, an untouched Shadow Demon: With Tamiya Clear Gloss: Untouched next to the one with the clear gloss: Tamiya Clear Red: Tamiya Clear Orange: Tamiya Clear Yellow: Tamiya Clear Green: Tamiya Clear Blue: Tamiya Clear Smoke: All of them, in all their glory: As you can see, the Tamiya clears can actually change the color while maintaining the translucency on the smaller and thinner parts. The only one that doesn't do this to the same degree as the others is the Smoke. Hope people find this useful.
  3. C&C and advice always welcome. Started working on this awesome tiefling/demon. Cleaned off mold lines, except the one on his outstretched arm and hand. The file wouldn't cooperate. Working on his face/head and just wanted to show some pictures. Yesterday, I was frustrated with the mouth, still am. Paints I used for the skin: 29843: HD Solid Black 09427: Nut Brown 09401: Dragon Red 09404: Cinnamon Red Did this in layers Shadow = Solid Black : Nut Brown (1:3) Nutbrown Nutbrown : Dragon Red (1:1) Dragon Red Dragon Red : Cinnamon Red (1:1) Cinnamon Red Spent 4 hours on the skin and face. I'm happy with where he's going at the moment. Tiefling art online for clothes has been rather uninspiring. So many browns, muted tones, or drab colors.
  4. 77316: Demon Lord of the Undead

Finally finished the Demon Lord of the Undead or rather I guess Orcus. Started doing this when I received Bones II. So that should give you all an idea how long it has been sitting there on the painting desk in my study. Was going to do the whole thing in greens/blues. But decided about 1/4 of the way into painting I would do it in a more traditional ruby/crimson skinned look. Which then became a dark toned ruby/crimson scheme. Such a great feeling to finish something that seems to have taken a eternity. Talk about torment!
  5. I've decided on the figures I'm using for this project now too, they changed since last time. I want to enter it into this year's Reapercon Diorama category (of course) and I want it to qualify for Bombshell Babes diorama, so I'm picking out 5 babes to battle the keeper (RBG) and his summoned demon (reaper glabrezu): 1) Celeste - Sorceress/wizard, 2) Khai the Huntress - ranger, going to weapon swap her to give her a bow, 3) Thorga Half Orc - Barbarian, Astrid Thunderhammer - Cleric, and Sister Vasha Fane - Paladin. This piece will be 2 stories tall, it will have a lot of details and a lot of action, with a summoning circle that the Glabrezu is inside of at the time the heroines come rushing into the Keeper's Sanctum. The badelf adventuring party! Vs..... The Keeper and his summoned Glabrezu
  6. So - my next small project - I cannot keep with just one ... errrr. After having a small but nice talk with @SGHawkins09 and being sent home by the doc to cure a sickness I recently picked up, I had to decide what to do next. As all those wonderful and enthusiatic responses to my previous projects (I mean it - I never had so much response in such a short time) made it near to impossible to just sign off from the forums and disappear into the wilderness, I agreed to take on a different plan. I just grabbed into my miniature box and took some figures to paint them and get them done. And then it struck me: I am at the Reaper Forums yet I missed to paint a Reaper miniature. So I picked out ... errr - let me see ... Troll Slayer Sophie! Yay! - hey! Hooooraaay! Who the heck is Troll Slayer Sophie and when did I buy her? It seems I already started to paint her, but then decided otherwise, stripped *chuckles* her and put her away. Hm. Good point to start her all over again. As I chose her to be the figure I wanted to paint next I had to think about the color scheme I wanted to use. Well. I had no idea. I never really cared about fantasy style, so it never meant anything to me. The things I know about are modern or sci fi. I played a lot of Warhammer40k back in the days. I even wrote fanfiction stories which included the Imperial Guard and the Sisters of Battle ... ... Sisters of Battle ... hm. that could make a great colour scheme. Works well with the flesh tones and still contrasts it. And as Sophie is a demon, the demon/witch hunter theme fits her rather perfectly. I'll take it! Well then - primed her and started painting. But I am not sure - do I want to give her skin the grim dark appearance of an Adepta or a more Succubi-like appearance like ... this one: Succubus Suggestions?
  7. So, I've started going through my Bones figures and this is one of my first finished efforts the picture in the book was meant to be a constellation but looks more like a plant.
  8. 77376: Minotaur Demon Lord

Introducing the newest demon lord in my miniatures collection... The Minotaur Demon Lord, aka Baphomet, aka "the Horned King", aka "the Prince of Beasts." This miniature was quite a bit bigger than the metal demon lord minis I've painted previously. A bit of a challenge, but I'm pleased with the result! If anyone is interested in the play-by-play of me painting this miniature, feel free to check out the work in progress thread on the forum. Cheers! -E.E.
  9. 77376: Minotaur Demon Lord (WIP)

So, this Minotaur fellow has been staring at me in pieces for a while now. I've decided the time has come to get painting, and while I'm at it, make my first ever WIP post. Because in the words of the great Devo: "When a demon miniature comes along, you must WIP it!" End goal: mini to be used in my D&D campaign. He doesn't need to be display quality, but I'll still welcome your tips and suggestions to improve my work. So far I've just put down some brown liner and temporarily stuck it together to make sure everything is on track. Currently mixing up colours for the base coat... More soon! -E.E.
  10. 77113: Eldritch Demon

Hey gang! Thought I'd post the Eldritch Demon I painted recently. I decided to take a departure from the iconic green flesh mythos monster look and try a more orangey-jaundice flesh tone. Also used a yellow/orange mix to highlight the cool patterns covering the skin. Also, used the MSP Adamantium Black to give the base a neat volcanic/space rock look. I did keep the tentacles a traditional pink colour. Just seemed to fit with the whole new flesh, soft and squishy, feel (like a sea creature without its shell?)... Cheers! :) -E.E.
  11. 02868: Eldritch Demon (New to Painting)

Here is another as I'm a huge lovecraft fan :) Please let me know how to do better!
  12. FitzBones: 77261 Bat Demon

Next up on the Bones-painting production line is this one, 77261: Bat Demon by Bob Ridolfi. At first I was going to paint him classic devil red, but I went with green in the end to give it a more serpentine look. I don't know why I wanted that; there's nothing very serpentine about the sculpting, but there you are. The heart has its reasons. The wings and elevated position make this figure a bit more imposing than its stature actually warrants. As far as its body goes, it's just very slightly — if at all — larger than the average Reaper bloke.
  13. Kalavakus Demon - 2005 Paizo

This comes from a line of miniatures prior to Reaper taking on the Pathfinder line. Made by Paizo in 2005, you will probably be seeing more of these from me in the future since my friend wants every single one he has painted. At first I did not like this model, but after throwing some paint on...the sculpter proved me wrong. A lot of fun to paint too.
  14. FitzBones: 77258 Blood Demon

Here's another of my vast stash of Bones figures, now splashed with paint. This is a very quick and unfussy paint job, and not really a very good one, but it will do the job. It took me about half an hour. It appears in Reaper's inventory as 77258: Blood Demon, but it seems pretty clear that it's based on an AD&D minor demon called a Babau that I first saw in the MM2, published in 1983.
  15. These are my players for Chaos, in Blood Bowl. The Minotaur/Ogre and daemonettes, are from GW, and the Warriors are a mix of parts from GW, and Avatars of War.
  16. I was asked to paint Amiri (89005) in a classic wonder woman inspired paint theme, and I matched Virina (03084) to some concept art that was drawn by a player. both characters are being used for a marvel super hero game and come from foreign planets. For Amiri I removed her sword and pinned the ne staff threw the hand grip that was left over from the sword. As for Virina sense I knew I was going to have to free hand he cloths onto a nude figurine I started by sanding down her nipples and coating the part of the model where her top would be in Taniya White. I've noticed this paint tends to dry hard and smooth and would look more like the leather top and pants that are described the players, character description. I hope you like what you've seen I post here a fair amount but I post to my FB page more if you would like to check out my work there it would be appreciated
  17. 02704: Lord of Gnolls

Another demon lord for the index: I'd like to give special thanks to @Gadgetman! for his advice on my Gnoll Warrior post. I used a lot of his suggestions to improve this mini, especially highlighting the jaws and matted fur. Uploaded via mobile phone, so hopefully the pictures aren't too big. Enjoy! -E.E.
  18. 50196 Devil Girl, Supervillain

Straight from the depths of hell, it's.........Devil Girl, Supervillain! (cue scary music!) For a change, instead of painting the eyes looking straight on, I painted them so that she was looking to the right as if she just spied a do-gooding superhero & was about to lob a fireball in their direction. The base was created using the Basius "Dungeon" stamp with the river part painted up as lava - I imagined that wherever she walked, the ground morphed into fiery molten goodness. Thanks for looking, comments & criticisms are always welcome.
  19. 77308: Boar Demons

Finally completed the twin nalfeshnee kill team. Ebony and Ivory. Am sure the reason for their names are pretty apparent
  20. 02716: Demonic Lasher

Here it is: the dreaded Demogorgon... This was the first larger scale mini I painted. It was a lot of fun, especially watching it come alive with a wash on the furry and scaley bits. Enjoy! As always, tips and suggestions are welcome. :) -E.E.
  21. 02646: Prince of the Undead

My take on Orcus, in a diabolical red. Cheers, E.E.
  22. 77377: Toad Demon

Am in the process of doing three of this mini. All based upon Poison Dart frogs. Am pretty happy with the first result.
  23. Wormpile

When posting pics of two paintings I did to my facebook account found this pic in a folder of Wormpile from the Hell Dorado mini line. Love how the gooey, icky slimy feel really worked on it. Planned to use it in my Modern D20 game I was running. But the game ended before I got a chance.
  24. 77230: Ankheg : Hellbug

I needed this guy for a game today, so I painted it quickly over 2 days. I could use some advice on what to go back and fix. starting a new 13th age campaign, in a fortress overlooking a hellhole, swarming with demonic bugs. while below them ratmen burrow. Of course they have black fur .. do I have any painted with black fur? nope. gonna need to work on some scaven too.
  25. 77261 BAT DEMON by Glitterwolf
