    07012: Caerindra Thistlemoor

Hello all, this is the last mini I've painted. Very nice sculpt, every single detail is there, even if my poor, old, eyes can't reconize it Trying to achieve a realistic look, she came out a little meh! IMO; it lack contrast, probably cause too brownish, but I was aiming a natural appereance, and choose to don't add too many colors. Anyway i'm happy the way she came out in the end. Hope you'll like her too Thank you for reading :)

    Dungeon dweller orcs

Enjoyed painting the single DD orc and brought two more. They are a bit bigger but very much in the same style. Applied the same colour scheme. Am looking out for the remaining two but think they may be limited edition.

    07011: Borin Ironbrow

Hello everyone, finally i can post a mini I've finished to paint: during the holidays I was very busy at work and at home and had no time to paint :( Soooo here we have Borin Ironbrow, I was really inspired by the pose, the quality of the sculpt and the three weapon to choice: I've opted for the warhammer, cause a dwarf have to break rocks and skulls Classic red beard, and red robe to make contrast with the green cloak, natural leather and METALS! Woooo! I got a bunch of new metals from Vallejo Metal Colors for the holidays and had to try it and I have to say this are THE BEST metal i've ever used, so smooth application, superb metallic finish: the pictures can't capture the real effect, but believe me, those metals are just incredible! Tried to make a Ancient gold finish for the armor and the hammer head, using steel, silver and washing it with some Sepia. It came out more Brass looking, happy of it hanyway! For the shield, helm and hammer handle I've opted for steel finish: for it i've used steel, dark grey wash and aluminium highlight. Ok enough bla bla... here we go: Thank you for reading, hope you'll like it!

    Dungeon dweller orc

Have painted this chap up for Rangers of Shadow Deep. Am using a mixture of orcs, half orcs, and gnolls for the "gnolls" in the game, mainly to reduce the lead pile. Really like the style of the armour in particular. It reminds me of the Angus Mcbride Lord of the Rings paintings. Am going to get the other 4 orcs so he has some mates.

    Dungeon Dwellers Goblins

These are probably some of my best work ever, which is a little silly. But they are such nice little sculpts and I love them. I got them for free for ordering so much.

     Adrasteia Winterthorn

Nearly finished with the Dungeon Dwellers special from Reaper. Will add a goblet (is that just red wine?) to the base and have a final go at highlights. The base is thin Cork sheet from The Range (if you are in the UK) layered up. It tears very easily but good for things like this.
  7. First off, I love the painting instructions you've been putting up for the new minis! Thank you, they're wonderful! Do you think you could make a more printer friendly version, without the fancy background color but still keeping the pictures? Thanks again!
  8. Simple speed paint. All done except for the base. Edit: I've added my 2nd Cairn Wraith. I really liked Michael Proctor's example paint so I copied the color scheme for it.

    07005 Cairn Wraith

So I think this is the best mini I’ve ever painted. I got him him for free with my last order and I loooove him. I love the sculpt and he’s so fun. Anyways, very proud of myself with this one...
  10. Dungeon Dwellers 07003 Bloodbite Goblins by Bobby Jackson and some other goblins (I forget where they came from)

    Dungeon Dwellers Wraith

Still have a few touch ups to do (yes I based before I was done...I like to live on the edge)
  12. Hi, friends! In continuing with our plan to catch up with painting the Dungeon Dwellers as a joint WIP together as they come out, can I interest you in some Baran Blacktree? Buglips and I will be painting him in our usual fashion, but if you haven't already, make sure that you check out Rhonda Bender's awesome PDF painting guide for him here: Dungeon Dwellers Y'all probably know by now how these go, but if not, check out our Thanis the Bonecaller thread where it all began and that'll give you links to all of the other joint WIP threads we've done.
  13. Hello again, friends and neighbours! As you can see by the title, this dual work-in-progress thread is a bit different from the others we've done up until now, which have all been miniatures from Reaper's Dark Heaven line. We decided that since Dungeon Dwellers is an all-new relaunch, we could double up on our WIP threads so we could do some of these. The painted examples have been quite excellent, and the painting guides released as pdf files an absolutely fantastic idea, so our objective with these threads is to celebrate the new launch and help give a closer look at these new figures and what you can expect when you decide to do your own. We'll be using our own colours in this thread, but the PDF of the painting guide for Rictus by Michael Proctor can be found here: Dungeon Dwellers We are, of course, running a couple of months behind on them so over the next couple of weeks we're going to catch up on the first two and then do this month's freebie: 07003 Bloodbite Goblins. From there we should be able to do the Dungeon Dweller WIPs around the middle of the month so as to show anyone on the fence about getting the freebie how awesome the figures are while they still have time to get 'em as a bonus! For my part I have traditionally never much liked slotted-base miniatures, I've always been an integral-base kinda guy, but these Dungeon Dweller offerings have been a solid 5 stars so far and I'm impressed enough to take the plunge. So I present to you Rictus the Undying in all his unpackaged glory!

    07001 Rictus the Undying

My Rictus takes care of his armor. So, in your opinion, is Rictus a death knight or just a normal well dressed skeleton warrior?
