  1. Goblin Runner

Hello all! I can't believe that i've missed this forum so far! My name's Andrew Cothill and i'm trying to learn to sculpt miniatures in 3D (Zbrush). I've been at it for about 9 months now. I don't mind brutal crits so please feel free to tear into it and i'll try to taken them on board for my current WIP =) Here's the concept i was working from by the super talented Klaher Baklaher Here's a sketchfab link to the model too. It's heavily decimated to fit on the site https://sketchfab.com/models/8d870cf7fd1447759c4322b75c7fc201 Thanks for looking and have a good day!
  2. Six Reaper Bones

Okay so I dug around in the drawer and pulled out six unpainted bones that I got in my batch that I bought. I gave them all a thorough scrub with a brush and warm soapy water and a toothbrush. The ogre needed straightening up so I poured hot water over to readjust and then under cold to set. I attached all six using superglue to fender washer bases. I got this tip on you tube and have been sticking to it since I started this process. They are running out so I will look for an alternative afterwards. But these are good and solid and make a good base. So now I have to decide which figure to work on.... I have not primed any and up until now I have primed using "151" matt black spray paint. I did not know exactly what to use so I tried this when I began. I did pick up slightly after the photo and start to apply some blue to the Anhurian soldier using the same blue I mixed for a figure I was painting late last night. But without primer it did not seem to want to settle very well. The two figures I have seen painted are by Doctor Faust ; the hell hound and the ogre. Any comments/suggestions or generally helpful advice is gratefully welcomed.
  3. Goblin

Okay gonna have another attempt at posting on here. This time I think I have found the right forum topic as last time I posted I think I may have put the pic in the wrong topic. I've tried to get the camera on a steady surface this time and snapped a goblin I just did while listening to my team lose 2-0 - so this kept my mind nicely elsewhere. I have tried to thin the paint a little this time and add a little highlight. I'm not too unhappy with this so I've jazzed up the base a little with some welsh slate and quarry dust again. It's not perfect but it's finished anyway.
  4. Fewmaster Toede, the hobgoblin

May I present to you; Fewmaster Toede of the Dragon Lance Chronicles. Sorry, the pictures didn't turn out that well. But I'm quite happy with the paintjob. All kinds of C&C is very welcome.
  5. Warg Rider Conversion WIP

Last night in an insomnia fueled start on the painting, I got to laying some basecoats on this conversion. Then a few color layers on the ground and sticks as well as the wolf's fur. Still a lot of work ahead on this one. Wont be picking it up again for a few weeks though. Will update post then. Original post in "Conversions" board (where you can see what I sculpted onto the Reaper Bones Warg)
  6. Decided I wanted a beefy goblin ranger riding a warg. And also to get back into miniature sculpting and conversion. Overall he's a little larger than I originally intended (scale-wise), but I'm happy with the details I was able to get into it. Especially since it's the first conversion I've tried in a couple years. White = Bones figure Gray = Procreate putty. Started the conversion in Sept. Added the base details shortly after. Currently the mini is primed and waiting for me to finish off a string of commissions before I can get back to it. Should be finishing him up in Dec.
  7. 03838: Sakarat, Goblin Wizard

Just finished a little deployed painting. I've been working on some fancier models off-and-on for about a month, so I wanted to do a no-pressure, tabletop-quality mini for fun. My photo options aren't the greatest, and the teal highlights on the black are largely washed out, but I still think he looks fairly presentable for tabletop.
  8. Atomico; The Goblin King

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/621743078/the-goblin-king-miniatures-set Text Link because picture is a bit too non-PG. This is a miniature set featuring the Goblin King being carried around by his burly orc goons, as he flaunts his girls and his gold. The set fits well into any 28mm heroic to 32mm fantasy miniature setting. This set can be easily be the center piece to any goblin army.
  9. So, I'm getting close to finishing up this Project. Also, my olde thread for this was from before the Great PhotoBucket Fiasco. So I'm redoing this thread using my new Imgur account! Behold my Bad Paint Jobs and Despair!! Or Not;) First up the Ani-Pals! Dog I Dog III Dog IV Bare the Bear Companion Dawg the Ranger, "Leader" of the Ani-Pals! Sting the Pixie Rogue! Salle Goblin Sorceress! Kildrick the Dwarven Cleric! Gonna post the rest in the next post so I don't hit Image Max Limits. GF
  10. Massive Darkness Agents

Goblin Agent 1 Goblin Agent 2 Dwarf Agent 1 Dwarf Agent 2 Orc Agent 1 Orc Agent 2 WIP: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/76692-massive-darkness-agents/
  11. The moon has blotted out the sun, so my little gobbo pal here needed to light a torch. How does he look? I'm particularly curious about the lighting, since I haven't tried anything like this before. There were three more of him on the sprue, so any advice you can offer will definitely be put to practical use! Thanks, guys!
  12. Finished the last mini in the Bones 3 Ogre Command set. Here is the Ogre Chieftain. He doesn't have a squire to polish his armor and the goblins use spit and their loincloths so....his armor isn't in the best of shape. The shield on the back probably needs some battle damage but I hated to mess it up after I spent so much time getting it to look nice! Maybe he "found" it. So here are pictures of the Ogre Chieftain and a group shot at the end. (I need a large photo background!) I added a tutorial on how to do the rust effect.
  13. These are the little standard bearers from Bones 3 Ogre Command set. I had considered adding bloody little handprints to the banner and then backed off because I wasn't sure. I think it turned out pretty well and I am really happy with their eyes! So here they are and a photo of them with the drummers because in my list 77567 says Goblin Standard Bearers and Musicians so I am guessing they are a set! C&C welcome!
  14. Goblin Musicians - 77567

These are the goblin musicians from Bones 3. They are still a little shiny because it has been raining like mad here so they have not had their spritz of Dulcote. They have tiny little eyes but they were so fun to paint. I made the little stool goblin be rolling his eyes upwards. He hates his job. The drum carrier is pouting. You know how when you get a song stuck in your head? So does he! He also hates his job. The drummer LOVES his job and gleefully bangs on his drum all day! C&C welcome
  15. This is Miss Ogre 2017. Steve Harvey realized he made a mistake and that she actually came in second but when he tried to rectify the mistake, she ate him. I had such a good time painting her. I kept having Shrek flashbacks. First, "Get outta me swamp!" The Scottish accent made me want to attempt painting plaid. Then realizing that she is wearing two skirts because.....Ogres have layers! I considered giving her a tramp stamp, a beauty mark (her tusks are in the way), and platinum blonde hair. Maybe I will have to get another and do that on the next one. The little guy has pretty soft features and I couldn't see any mouth or anything on him so I gave him a suggestion of a mouth. I may go back and tweak it a little more. Not 100% sure what the things are hanging from the front of her belt. I almost painted them to be lizard heads! Also, not sure about her dagger looking rusty realistically but it's not bad. Plus, she is appearing in this weekend's game! I can't wait! Anyway, here she is. I present Miss Ogre 2017!
  16. About this project Fantasy Football, is a tabletop game where two teams play an american football game against each other. The game is took in a fantasy world, home of legendary creatures like orcs, dwarves, elves, goblins etc. Usually, 28-32mm miniatures are used for this game, representing players on the field. Goal of the game is the touchdown, who makes the most wins! The game is played on a boxed playground. Main rule is: no-hold-barred, in fact players can try to wound and mutilate opponents to get an easier touchdown by reducing the number of opponents. Crosslances propose his own team, completely in digital, for 3D printing. In our team you'll find crooked, genetically modified abominations, perfect to be played as Goblins or Putrids in a Fantasy football game. From tentacles to tails, pustules to scars, in this team nothing is held back to instill fear in your opponent! They are as bad as they are ugly! Miniatures are sculpted in ZBrush to obtain high quality details. If you already own a 3D printer, create these unique and incredble models will be cheap and fun. If you don't own a 3D printer, it could be the opportunity to buy one! Printer's costs are already low and accessible to anyone. You can still use a service platform like: 3D hub, shapeways, or any of the others which are crouding the net. No shipping costs! Wherever in the universe you are, just download the files and print! You can print your model as many times as you want, for you and your friends. You can decide any printing dimension, from miniatures to real size titan sculptures! You can use these miniature as proxyes in other games like ninth age.
  17. Bones I Goblin Archer

Sticking a fork in this guy. It's sometimes disheartening how very much I still have to learn.
  18. Grenadier Goblin??

Okay, this one has been sitting around for like foreever just primed, so I decided now that I have the Reaper LTPK, i'd start trying to finish him. I am pretty sure its a grenadier model, and that its a goblin:) but if someone else knows for sure, please let me know:)
  19. Lidless Eye WiP: Goblin Town

Another recent project, some of the cave Goblins from The Hobbit's "Escape from Goblin Town" boxed set. I had been looking for a set after getting Nord Game's "Revenge of the Horde" 5E monster manual. Their obviously Peter Jackson inspired designs inspired me in turn: A friend is planning a move and trying to downsize his collection, so his "Escape from Goblin Town" became mine. Here's the first few: And a close-up. I may make them a bit more pallid: cave a.bmp
  20. Upchuck

Been a while since I have been able to paint as work has been insane of late. GM asked me to find a goblin alchemist. Had a gremlin taxidermist from Mailfaux that worked perfect for what he wanted. Still trying work out how to do a saliva bubble and drool. Drool should be the easy one. From what I can work out NPC is meant to be some disgusting little thing who becomes a party member.
  21. Goblins 60017 & 60006

First post on a reaper forum! I really enjoyed painting these little buggers. This was my first attempt at OSL. How can you not resist trying on these models! ...now for the bases.
  22. Well this month I decided to join in the hangouts mini. Got started on mine tonight on the hangouts. Went with the green skin as all my other's I have are painted up as greenskins. I mostly base coated tonight during the hangout. Here is what I got accomplished.
  23. Following up on last month's Shaman figure, this month we're moving onto the Commander figure! Tonight was simply glueing him to the cork and then giving him a basecoat of brown liner. I expect to paint him basically the same way as the shaman, so this should go pretty smoothly... *insert universe laughing at me here*
  24. I finished the shaman off last night, and just finished taking some pictures.
  25. In spite of the fact that I haven't finished my Orc Druid, I decided tonight to get March's goblin shaman started. A couple of goblin troops snuck in as bodyguards... Nothing much but some brown liner and corks from the drow.
