    77364: Angel of Shadows

Here is Angel of Shadows that I had fun painting with extreme OSL from both lantern and moonlight. I also had a lot of fun sticking her in front of different cityscapes. I am not sure if she was spreading dreams/wishes or collecting them but she had a Victorian feel to her so I envisioned her flying over Victorian London. Maybe she was acquainted with Peter Pan!

    77536: Female Wraith

I did a quick paint job on a female wraith for my D&D games. I didn't do a lot of detail on her. I wanted her to look a little glowy and creepy. I think she turned out pretty well and will be adequately scary!

    All Hallow's Eve - 01450

I took Roman Gruba's OSL class at Cancon. He wanted to teach us about atmosphere so we were supposed to paint one side as if it were lit by moonlight and the other side by another source, in this case, her lantern. Her broom is only sticky tacked on so pay no attention to the blob on her back. Technically, she isn't "finished" as I would have spent a lot more time glazing and working in a little more color. I think she turned out pretty cool for only two hours of work in class and I feel like I learned a lot.

    The Twilight Ninja

Presenting the Twilight Ninja from Kingdom Death, she was their special edition mini for last years Black Friday sale. I've had this one painted up for a little while, but I've been struggling to come up with a new photo setup (of course, the eventual solution was annoyingly simple). She's a little rough in places, I had to repaint bits of her bodysuit a few times too many, but I think she ended up looking pretty nifty. As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
  5. This is Talespinner's fault. And also OneBoot's idea. (In another thread Talespinner challenged people to try something that was new —to them— and then Oneboot mentioned OSL and this specific model.) So, I acquired one 77364 on Saturday. Then I headed into the paint area to make a start. At that point "a idea flew into my funnel" after I spotted newish bottles of Blue Liner and Black Primer. These paints got mixed... ...FOR SCIENCE!™ The other part of the idea was to prime the mini with this inky dark mixture (roughly 50/50 Blue Liner/Black Primer**) where the lantern light could not reach. I Probably worked too fast. I am thinking the back of her head should be all inky as well. The pizza happened later. **That made a nice rich black. Next: there will be a sword swap.
