  1. I whipped this guy up on Heroforge, modded, printed, and painted him today. I had been looking for a good dragonborn/dragonman/reptus/etc but have been left wanting. This guy is a silver dragonborn cleric, death domain, follower of Tiamat (I know, non-chromatic) for a 5E campaign. I'm happy with how he turned out considering I was shooting for table quality.

    77034: Male High Wizard

  3. dmpv01

    77074: Dain Deepaxe (Bones)

This is the bones casting. I wish I had gotten the metal version once I started painting this as it seems some details were lost, especially in the face, and I found it more difficult to paint.

    14418: Bloodstone Gnome Scragger

It has been a while, but I am back with another mini from Reaper. This time its a Blood Stone Gnome, which I tried to paint up as a goblin. Hope you all like it. Any C&c is welcomed.

    Barbarian Axeman of Icingstead

Painted a lot since I last came here. Here is one I did for a player
  7. Hello all, just finished another Ral Partha Hackmaster figure, this time a male dwarf thief, dagger in one hand and crossbow in the other. It's another figure sculpted by the prolific Jim Johnson back in about 2003. For this one, I wanted darker colors, but really the hardest part on him was deciding the line at the edges of his leather jerkin. I had considered red and gold, but then for some reason purple ended up being the color I went with. Enjoy!

    Bjorn, Dwarven Warrior

Hey there Reaper people! here is my take on Bjorn, Dwarven Warrior using NMM. This was painted late last year and is currently being used as a test subject for the new backdrop and my new phone camera. I hope you like it. C&c always welcome. Enjoy.
  9. Well, I finally have gotten around to starting up the Necromancer's from Zombicide: Black Plague. I could have started with the core Necro, but I felt inspired to start with Grin. Now I as I painted him up I had to constantly tell myself he's only for gaming. But I think he has some character. The game fiction has him being a Necromancer that failed at an attempt to bring out the dead, from a pesky adventurer. So I decided to give him a similar complexion to my zombies. Then I decided to attempt to give him some red lips to enhance his grin. In the end for a table top mini I think he came out ok. Though After painting him up I noticed a few spots I'll touch up. Then I though that he would have look cool painted up as a not-joker. *Sigh* Maybe someday I'll look to see if I can acquire another copy. Thanks for any C&C you feel inspired to give.
  10. Updated photos of General Matisse I painted a few months ago. Would appreciate any c&c. Please enjoy.

    03205: Friar Stone, Traveling Monk

I painted this late last year and posted him up on the Facebook page. This is the updated image using my new camera/backdrop setup. Please enjoy. As usual C&c always wellcomed.

  13. Bad Squiddo Games put out this set of four vampire hunters (from rather different eras), SKU: BFM MLS007. Some parts of some of the sculpts are a little crude. In the end I think I painted them rather roughly, but then my sympathies tend to lie on the other side. There is no WIP. As always, comments and critiques are welcome. I think of this guy as the Dum-Dum Dugan of the group. This one just seemed disreputable, almost as scary as the monsters he hunts. This guy could be any sort of modernish cowboy or frontiersman, I think. I painted up the Baroque one as Latino and imagined him dealing with infestations in colonial California. This isn't a great angle, except I like how his chained book turned out. We have some old books about, and the ancient worn leather does tend to look like that.

    Wolf Tribe - Rageclaw Warrior

I'm working on painting a tribe of wolf people and this is the second guy I've completed (first one here). This is also the first custom base that I've made. Funny side note: Early on in painting this guy I posted on the works in progress board asking for opinions on what is hanging on his foot. The conclusion that we came to was that it was some kind of buckle which apparently the sculptor of this piece (Werner Klocke) is obsessed with. As I kept painting I definitely started noticing the abundance of buckles across the various leather straps. It just made me laugh every time I discovered a new one. Anyway comments, suggestions, and criticisms welcome! Thanks!

    14032: Corm, Ghostmane Shaman

Edit: updated the pictures to have a neutral background (suggested by Glitterwolf) and better lighting. Hey Guys! I'm pretty new to painting miniatures but I'm having a lot of fun with it. This is the first one that I feel really good about but I'd also love some feedback. Thanks!
  16. I'm painting a Rageclaw Warrior and I'm trying to figure out what this thing is. He has a leather strap wrapped around one of his hind legs and there's something hanging off it. Can anyone tell what it is? It's a package or a letter maybe? I don't know what color to paint it.

    02607: Bjorn, Dwarven Warrior

Started doing NMM again after almost half a year painting my Skaven AoS army. What do you all think? Thanks in advance for any advice or criticisms.

    Rippers Witch Hunter, Reaper Miniatures

Rippers Witch Hunter from Reaper's Savage Worlds miniatures line. Oh varnish. The bane of my existance. I just can never seem to get it right. I've got the first step down (two rounds of floor polish) but after that I'm stumped. What I thought was my try and tested method of matt spray varnish suddenly doesn't work. It either leaves considerable spots of gloss and/or frost (the later probably due to the cold weather). And the spray is a nightmare to maintain. Recently I've tried to go back to brush on matt sealer which seems to do the trick (at least servicable). But something worries me that I'm forgetting something, since there should be a reason that I didn't use brush on sealer earlier. I'm hoping it's just sloth. This figure is suffering from my (many) bouts with the sealing process. Anyway, I painted this miniature as a stand in for a PC in a game of Shadows of Esteren I'm GM:ing. I cut the sword and replaced it with a torch from a Bones townsfolk miniature. I had such high hopes with the mini before hand. I was going to go for a darker tone and try OSL. Reality hit and it wasn't pleasant. So I ditched everything and went plain. Got an OK result.

    Ase Arvidson, Red Box Games

Ase Arvidson from Red Box Games. Another miniature that had to suffer before I've settled (kind of) for a sealing method. Ase was a quick, and rather painless, paintjob. I have decided to try and speed up things (since I'm at the time of writing 229 finished miniatures short of having painted all my RBG minis....). This means having to settle for less (one sacrifice is way less time trying to paint eyes on small minis), but with how Ase turned out I'm quite OK with that. The original sculpt had a rather ugly arrow running down the leg, which I cut away and replaced with part of a metal paper clip. I'm not a sculpter so that's the best I could manage (I have since though about using needles but the paper clips are way cheaper :D).

    02757 - Gastaroth, Vampire

Greetings! I've had a couple of half finished Reaper vampires waiting in the (bat) wings for the best part of last year so I thought it was about time that I finished them off...... The second one, presented here, is Gastaroth (the other one is Jahenna). Usually, I get stuck in the same rut when painting vampires by sticking to red, gold & black. However, I've managed to sneak in some dark blue on this one to give him a bit of a regal look & I've also done the armour red which is something slightly different that I've been thinking about doing for a while now (I'd probably have done this gold in the past!). I put a green glaze on the blades to give them an enchanted look. Finally, I did a little bit of sculpting on the base by adding in some smaller slanted stone blocks & grass. Comments are always welcome, thanks for looking!
  23. Hiyo! I started working on the second painted mini for the upcoming 2016 Secret Sophie exchange, Arthrand Nightblade from the Warlord series. He'll hopefully make a great ranger character for my mystery partner! While there are many great painted examples of him already, I wanted to paint him in something other than greens and browns. I chose a blue and cream color scheme for my main colors– the rest will be neutral browns. I'll paint lighter, worn leather (or maybe linen?) wraps around his quiver and darker browns for his boots and bow. I still haven't decided on his hair color though... More to come after the Thanksgiving holiday! I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Thanks for taking a look

    C-P Models Male Adventurer

Hi all, noob here :) This was my first foray into painting 28mm minis, after many years of building Airfix models and the like. Meet Augustus, my character in our D&D Starter Set campaign, from C-P Models. Paints were a mixture of Humbrol enamels; the base was built up a little with Milliput before paint, flock and static grass were applied. Thanks for looking!
