ub3r_n3rd posted a topic in Works In ProgressWhile at ReaperCon 2016, I hit up the melt bin and found 3 distinctly different parts of 3 different figures. The first one was torso of 03465: Shaerileth, Spider Demoness, the second was a snake's tail (not sure from what or even if it's Reaper let me know if you know what it is!) and the third looks like it's a tentacle from the 02634: Well of Doom. These are NSFW due to the nude portion of the top of the figure and so I'll link to my Facebook pics that I've posted up. Here's the pieces as I pulled them from the melt bin. Pic 1 - all separate Pic 2 - test fitted using museum putty Pic 3 - glued and green stuff putty putting it together Pic 4 - another angle Pic 5 - yet another angle
I just started painting miniatures and am really excited how this one came out. I spent quite a while(maybe 40 hours or so) painting this while watching my hubby play Witcher 3. Any suggestions or tips for a new painter? I still need to find a base for this guy! Materials: 77343: Goroloth Army Painter Primer Vallejo Game Paints
The derelict vessel had been adrift for weeks. Food stores aboard the Serpent's Gaze had all but dried up, and the men were becoming volatile. "Land!! Off the starboard bow!! Land!", the cries rained down from the crow's nest like tears from the heavens. The captain gave the order, and the anchor was dropped. This island, from what they could see, had lumber.. lots of lumber. The shallows, however, would not hold the ship, and they could not risk being beached. A decision was reached that the first mate, Bulgrit, would take six members of the crew, and find a place to make camp. Then, they would begin the search for food, and lumber to make the repairs needed for the ship. The longboat was lowered, and the men rowed towards their salvation. Barely sixty yards from the ship, a scratching was heard and felt along the botton of the longboat. The water was still to deep for it to be coral. The scratching again, followed by a sudden thump. "Fear not lads, its likely a ..." and the longboat was capsised. From the ship, the men could hear the screams of terror and pain, as their shipmates fought for their lives. The waters churned, a sick bloody froth floated about the area, and the cries fell silent. It was over in a matter of minutes. "That weren't no shark..." I have a few of these to paint up for an underwater scenario I am running for my group. There are a few other aquatic themed bits that will go along with them, but this was the first one I completed. Hope you like it! CAH
