Looking for Official answer on rescaling question

Recommended Posts

I heard that some of the cav minis are being resculpted at a larger scale, airships for sure. I am just getting into cav and have already bought a bunch of tanks and apcs ect.. but no cavs as I am more interested in tanks and flyers. I just want to know if it is only the flyers being resculpted or if the tanks and ground apcs are as well. The reason I ask is I was going to start painting them as of today and dont want to waste time painting a tank or apc that is going to be resculpted to a newer cooler scale and then have to repaint it again. (I know I could still use older model but I "want" to have the proper scale model anyways)

So could anyone that knows for sure let me know if it is just flyers being resculpted and that I shouldnt paint any of those I have or if tanks, apcs and infantry will be as well.

thanks in advance, looking forward to start painting today.

so far "officially" only the gunships and APCs have been announced to get resized. Tanks and infantry should already be the proper though as are the CAVs. Although I keep thinking there is one CAV running amok that is the wrong size. <_<

There were some Rhinos & Archers Produced at smaller-than scale. The rhino was actually the hand-sculpted version and the CG version has been in the supply chain for some time.

Archers were actually the CG model printed at the wrong scale, but I think It's been close to a year, if not more, since the swap for the correct size of those were announced.

Well, from what I understand with the sabretooth is that instead of resculpting it to a heavier sculpt, they are changing it's weightclass and role on the battlefield in the transition to CAV2.

At this time "anything mounted on a hover/flight stand" is being looked at for upsizing. Currently, we cannot give a list of what's being upscaled as we are only beginning the process.
