I need a couple of 1/48th scale US and German half tracks but I cant find any.

Can anyone suggest a manufacturer and maybe a link to a website?

There are the Corgis. I think they are quite nice. Not sure how they are being sold these days. i see them as a package bundle with a half squad of wonky figures. They used to sell them alone for like $22. They've got jeeps out there too.

I see the price has gone up some, but they are diecast with nice detail and usually a nice weathered paint job.

I have some Victory Force figures now that have been sculpted to fit inside these particular models. I've got drivers, troops for the benches in the back, and machine gunners for the pulpit (not seen in this photo unfortunately).

There are a number of companies that make them.

Off the top of my head there is S&S (who make an M2 I adore) - http://www.sandsmodels.co.uk/
They are 1/60, but fit really well with 28mm

I'd avoid WestWind since they are really on the small side.

Black Tree does some WWI vehicles, I like their M8 -

Army Group North does some 1/60 scale vehicles as well (carried by brigade also)

JTFM makes some great vehicles as well - I really like the stuff he puts out.

Edit - Bolt Action also does vehicles. (carried by Brigade)

Tamiya is making Kettenkraftrad & German Sd.Kfz.250/3 Greif in 1/48 scale.
As they are selling other halftracks in 1/35 scale, I guess they will make them in 1/48 scale in future.

I was told the figures are scaled to 1/48 tanks and that Tamiya had some of the best selections.

Has a list of vehicles w/stats been released for RotD? (cause that's why I'm actually in here this morning...to find tank suggestions that will work in the game)

Go look at your nearest Wal-Mart or Toys R Us. The Ultimate Soldiers toys from 21st Century Toys are pretty slick.

The Sherman flail was very popular last year at GenCon....... you have to make your own flail though.........

Tamiya is going to be putting out a 1/48 "Mtl.SPW.Sd.kfz 251/1 Ausf.D" soon. (A.K.A. German Half Track.)
http://www.tamiyausa...roduct-id=32564

Untill then they have a German "Sd.Kfz.250/3 Greif" kit. (There abit shorter. So might not be what you're looking for.)

The Drug Mart's in our area have a model three pack on sale. It's has a 1/48 scale sherman caliope, a 1/48 scale halftrack with a 75mm gun, and a 1/72 scale Huey. With some work with the sprue cutter and some filling of gaps, you can have a passable sherman and M3 halftrack. It's only around $15 for the set.

Try Bolt Action Miniatures, JTFM enterprises, Chieftan Models, or Army Group North Miniatures. I believe they all stock German and US Halftracks. And most (if not all) of them have US dealers/sellers.

What scale are the Axis & Allies miniatures?

They are more or less 15mm (1/100 scale).

Our local Drug Mart stores got another shipment of the 3-packs. Outek and I both picked up two each. They have 1/48 scale M-2 halftracks with 57mm gun, Sherman with Calliope, and a 1/72 Huey. With some minor work they halftrack and sherman can be converted to standard versions. They aren't fancy, but for a Reich game they will work fine. At $14 for the set you really can't go wrong.
