Metal Trade In Approved Company List

Recommended Posts

Dumb question - but I got yo ask, unapproved means, don't bother bringing them? I thought I saw a list in the past that put approved minis at x percentage of weight, and unapproved at x-minus a decent amount for the weight of unapproved. Was I high on crack and imagined that? Or, is that no longer the case, and Im remembering old info.

A few unanswered questions were left from the massive chatter prune.

We will get an official answer to those.

Please don't be "helpful" and try to answer them unofficially because not every answer that was made was accurate and they have been removed.

It all depends on what you have and whether or not it has been painted etc. The current price of metal plays a large part as well. Next year at Reapercon(and it always changes) you can trade regular unpainted pewter for 90% of weight in Reaper stuff bulk out of the bins. Painted & glued etc is 50%.

Best

So, question: Is this still true, or is this, quote from the ReaperCon site:

"for the same weight in new metal"

More accurate? How do painted vs unpainted vs greenstuffed minis work nowadays?

I realize  that quote is now several years old, but that's a weight difference for trade of... almost a pound, at this point, for me, so I'd appreciate any clarifications I could get!
