Well let's get the New Year Kicked off. Welcome 2012! This month for me:

4 Daughters of Skaadi
4 Kragmarr Guards
4 Dwarf Valkyries
1 Konrad Graniteheart

I'll be honest I won a can of Army Painter Quick Shade Strong and I'm itching to use it.

So what do the rest of have in your queue for the month?

2014 Painting Goal: 6 Figures/ 36 Painted as of 01/22/2014

For other Wargame and miniature related stuff you can read my blog at http://tacticalrock.blogspot.com

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

... nobody remembers Slave Leia because, "Oh my gosh! What innovative use of bronze."

Cygnar Charger
Federation Battlecruiser
At least five 15mm UNSC troopers

I'm not so sure I'd want to get hit by a missile with a "dog brain" AI.

Attempting to get back in the saddle, so to speak, I plan a handful of display-level paintjobs:

Mouseling Santa and Helper, with a homemade Santa's Workshop sign (in progress)
Dark Sword Female Warrior (in progress)
Halloween Mouselings
Thanksgiving Mouselings
(Can you tell how far behind I am in painting? )
Dark Sword Elmore Female Mage (in progress)
Maria Roseblade
Smedley Cloverdash, Steampunk Villain
Sculpt a special base for Smedley, then make a mold, cast it, use it again for some other models.

No idea what the time frame is, but I have as my priorities on my list:

Cryx Battlegroup
Cygnar Battlegroup
Warmachine 2-player Starter Set

So really, all the new plastic battlebox sets for Warmachine. Funny - most of the original versions aren't painted yet either, and I have those all, too. And I plan to play eventually?

And lots of Mouselings and Sophies purchased last year. I'm not ambitious.

My 2 yen,

Looking at pirates and sharkmen. Some carried over from last month and a couple are Christmas presents.

90 units of Space Marines plus tanks and cannons.

1 Eldritch demon and bathalian for my other client.

I have 26 on my painting desk that are started, just need to finish them. It's looking like the 2 headed giant will be done first. He's my display model for Con of the North here in St. Paul. My first time as a vendor and I'll be the only mini painter there!

Just finished a giant scorpion.

Dark Sword Elmore female mage - done. Not great paintjob, but enough to call it done.
