There are those of you who are going to like this paint job and I'm sure there are more artistic individuals who are going to hate this paint job.

Without a doubt, this has been one of the most challenging minis I've ever painted. The figure is in movement and the movement is slightly exaggerated making shading and highlighting while maintaining a consistent light position quite difficult.

I did freehand on his head, shoulder and the blackened runes on the bright gold.

I intend on using this guy as a supreme world destroyer in my DnD game when my players have defeated the 5 Horsemen.

Wow! I really like how it came out not to mention it is a sweet looking mini. 5 horsemen?

I like the colors, and the free hand, but I think the shading and highlighting should be more pronounced on the yellow and green and leather.

That's also some really excellent metal work.

The paint is great. I'm always spectacularly let down by weapons that look like they'd do as much harm to the wielder as the opponent. That's on the sculpt, not you.

Bold color scheme, Adrift. Much less subtle than the normal Everblight pale blue that this model would normally see for skintone.

The colors contrast well, and your painting is smooth, as always. Your use of yellow is great, especially next to the purple skintone.

Well done! A warbeast done in these colors would look fascinating.

My 2 yen,

Akiosama

That's also some really excellent metal work.

I've worked my butt off to 'hear' someone say that. Thank you. :)

@Da Matt - in my game I'm using 5 (death, war, conquest, pestilence, and famine).

@Akiosama - I don't play the PP tabletop wargames, this guy was 50% off at a LGS so I picked him up b/c he's a great sculpt...just VERY challenging IMO.

Glad you finally heard it. Metal really takes time and I hope to eventually produce something near the quality on this one.

The very first Legion of Everblight model I have ever painted. All thanks to my Patrons for choosing it.
Now, one of them gets to win it.

Rest assured, there are videos coming out that will feature this big fella, covering both his skin, and horns. However, YouTubers will have to wait until January 9 for the public release of the first video. You can watch them if you're a Patron before the end of the month.

He was a really fun model to paint. He's one of those models that has just the right amount of detail. Enough bits and bobs to make it fun, and not tedious. I think I sunk about 20 hours into this one, although it didn't seem like it at all. He was actually finished quicker than it felt. And that's probably because I was really enjoying myself. I stuck pretty closely to the studio scheme here as well.

      Onto the pics!

I almost completely repainted him. He was one of my 1st paint ups, a favorite model and I wanted him to match the rest of my growing army. Very happy with him now.
