It's been a while since I posted here at Reaper Forum. I can't even remember how long ago that was. :)

Anyway, this is a shameless plug, but I'd like to let you know that Hangar 18 Miniatures has just released our new product: The Tabletop Photo Background.

This product was inspired by Massive Voodoo article. We have 6 different backdrops: from the classic portrait background to the modern grungy one. All backdrops are printed on a 11 x 17 inch durable yet flexible fabric that is water resistant.

Take a look - we have posted some samples of photo that we took using the backdrop: http://www.hangar18m...hoto-backdrops/

And here's the complete product page: https://www.hangar18...hoto-backdrops/

Just an FYI, Hangar 18 Miniatures is a new miniature-related company that I started along with my husband (Kirk Troy) and our fellow painter, Tory Reed.

Thanks for your time! :)

Those are an excellent idea! For too long the trend tended toward this bright sky blue gradient backdrop that could either be printed and used or, worse yet, edited in with Photoshop. That colour's effect almost always was to make the miniature seem washed out and flat.

Your backgrounds seem more natural and friendly to the eyes. I like how they are lighter in the center to give the overall image a studio-portrait look.

Thank you Spike!

Just an FYI, if the "vignette" effect is not strong enough to your taste on these backdrops, you can also have them backlit to make the effect stronger. See the picture below:

These look great! I'll be checking these out, will be nice to find some new backgrounds for a change from the blue.
I'll fight it, but I won't kill it. Now, what about my dynamite?

Question: is the fabric water resistant or water proof? (I saw both statements on the hanger18 store.)

How well would they work for something large like a Baneblade or the Bones C'thulu?

It says that they are printed on 11x17 cloth, so depending on how you rig it up , two would probably be necessary , but you might be able to get away with one
