Brush soap: There's a YouTube video where the artist rolls / rubs the brush against his hand after rolling the brush in the soap. IMO, That helped more than the soap did. OTOH, It's cheap at Michael's after a coupon, so doesn't hurt.
Myself, I used Einon's (CMON forums) advice for two rinse jars, both with a little soap. After rinsing, I'll rub the brush ferrule against a used toilet tissue roll to get rid of any paint at the ferrule.
I should try conditioner on the brushes. Also, for eight bucks before 40% off coupon, there's the W&N brush cleaner solution.
@Little: Send the eldest off with a W&N Size 1! IMO, Brushes are *much* more important than paints. OTOH, If he's off to college, he has more important things to do than painting. Like chase girls. :D
