Thanks to Sean for this one.

Looks pretty tempting. For $25, you get four double-sided maps of a village plus a hamlet.

$20 gets you a digital versions of *all* the maps they make. DriveThruRPG has a crapton of digital 28mm maps already available, though.

Finally, Paizo has several dead tree game map products, also available at Amazon: http://paizo.com/gameMastery/maps

These maps have been made in a software package available to anyone called "Dundjinni". I hope the guy checks that if doesn't use any elements that aren't for commercial use. There are a lot of people who create various elements for these maps and don't want them used for commercial gains.

Basically when you buy the software you can create maps as you've seen and then sell them. However in the user creations section you have some talented people that make extra elements for use in dundjinni, some allow you to use the elements for commercial usage, some sell the elements, most don't want people profiting from their work, and won't allow anything using their elements to be sold.

It has some really nice stuff in the user-creations section if you make your own maps. They are generally in .png format and can be used in most editing software.

Actually, the map was created in Photoshop. Some of the elements for the sample map were from user created content for Dundjinni, but some of our design team are user contributors and used their own content and other elements were used according to the license on the site for user content.

That being said, the majority of the sample map is original content and our designers have been building our own in-house library of unique features for our maps. Many more items will have to be uniquely created as the most of the location sites will be designed by our backers working with our designers.

This is an ambitious project we are trying to undertake that we are really excited about. Each of our maps will be made by one of our team designers, not a computer program. We hope you give it a shot as we will be showing more samples in the days to come.

Thanks.

I like what I'm seeing thus far, but I'd like to see a few more examples before I make my final decision, It would be nice to see at least one sample from each map group to better understand the village/city section divisions.

Just posted our 1st tier of Milestones, an additional 20 designs for our backers. That means if we unlock those milestones each of our $100 backers will receive 60 different map designs, the printed NPC guide, and custom map portfolio! Also, check out our recent update and suggest your building idea for our Hamlet map. http://kck.st/RVY9FL
