so, when does shipping start?

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering when Bones will actually start shipping. From the posts, it appears that the majority of the Bones have been received. I am assuming that the large sculls are what they are waiting on. The origial ship date was March 2013. Is that th e beginning of March, the middle of March, or heaven forbid, the end of March? I was hoping to have them in my hands for Spring break....

The answer is yes. The beginning of March, the middle of March, or the end of March. I think they said that when they have everything they will start shipping. They do not want to start to pull an order and have to put it aside because they are missing one peice. They want to pull an order, box it up and ship. Repeat until done. Rest and make Bones available to Retail. (The resting is optional, but I say they deserve at least 8 hrs of rest when they are done :;)::rolleyes:

I'm anxious too. I console myself with the though of receiving my bones after they ship at some time during March (or later if it slips) is not going to materially impact when I finish painting them :)

The last update Bryan gave us said that there were still some containers (7, I think) on the way.

Beyond that there's no way to know, and an estimate might not be worth very much until they're cleared customs - remember the last batch of Bones before christmas and how long that took. So that's probably why they haven't given an estimated date, in case something goes crooked again.

March is, and always was, the target date. Thus far everything seems in order to make that target date, but until everything's unloaded and secured nobody knows for sure.

We just have to sit tight, and wait until we're told something.

For Canadians, we also need to remember we're being fulfilled by RAFM - and presumably that means Reaper has to send to them so they can send to us. So we should be prepared for the possibility of some delay. Hopefully there won't be one, or much of one, but Reaper has no control over the Orcs of Customs and what weird shenanigans they might get up to (like, say, turning back the Sophie molds for some alien reason like they did).

This is, and will be a busy year for me. I have a lot going on. I'm not gonna lie and say I wouldn't be excited if I got shipping confirmation tomorrow, but realistically it will probably be a bit after I get over the rolling-around-on-piles-of-Bones stage before I get a chance to start basing/painting them.

I wonder if the Reaperpeeps are at the stage where they are wondering if the Bones Kickstarter was really a good idea?

apparently im not in the majority. I ordered a ghost level plus goblins and have received nothing at all.

Well, none of the Bones minis have shipped to anybody yet - but you should have had your Sophie by now. Contact questions@reapemini.com and let them know you don't have her yet.

From the posts, it appears that the majority of the Bones have been received.

This is not entirely accurate. Yes, Reaper has received at least a copy of the majority of the Bones models (if not all of them by now), and yes, they have recieved a signficant shipment of models for Vampire pledges (last I saw, the number was 5000-ish). This is by no means, however, the majority of the product that will be needed for rewards fulfillment. The Vampire level sets alone will account for at least 3x what they've recieved thus far. There's still a lot of product to go.

As for when in March, I think we won't hear an official announcement from Reaper until they are ready to ship them. With the unpredictable nature of the time product spends tied up in Customs, any announcement before they know that the last truck has left Customs and is on its way to Reaper HQ would be premature.

To my understanding they currently have all the vampire pledges and very few of anything else. However production is finished and everything else is currently at sea on its slow journey to the US. Once its here its all in the hands of customs...

March is going to be a crazy month for the people at reaper HQ.

And don't forget that they also have ReaperCon to plan for on top of the Bones Kickstarter Fullfillment. Crazy month indeed!
