Well the New Year gets me thinking of years past and things to do in the coming year. So I think it is high time that we resurrect the New England Paint Day.

For those of you unfamiliar with the New England Paint Day, it is a get together of like minded individuals; to paint, share techniques and to just have a plain old good time.

On to the debate. As this is a New England Paint Day, we have to figure out the location. In the past, they have been hosted by individual painters and at game stores. I can set up a time with Pat at my FLGS (Citadel Games Cellar in Groton CT) or I can host at my house depending on the number of people. For those who were at the last CT paint day, the Citadel has moved down the street to a new location and has much better lighting this time around.

I am open to other locations if it is more convenient for the majority; someone else would just have to step up and procure a location. Right now I should be good for most weekends up until April.

So, who's interested?

I would love to make it, but four hours is quite a haul for me. I don't really do long road trips these days.

Hello, Friend! I'd love to come, but I am carless... if someone lives near ECSU and wants to carpool, I'll pitch in for gas!

I'd like to attend as well. Haven't really checked out the LFGS around the Albany NY area since I got back into painting with the bones KS. Though I like the idea of a New England Paint Day.

I would love to attend, but living in Phoenix makes that rather difficult...

That might be arranged. My daughter goes to ACT in Willamantic so if that's the campus you're at you're only 30 minutes away.

That's why I haven't made it out to any of the NY paint days yet. I do have a comfy couch though. And one of the casinos is like 15 minutes away. Just sayin'.

What sort of dates work for people. I was thinking some Saturday in late January or early February.

Oooo! It sounds like lots of fun.

It would be about a 2 hour drive from where I live. I might be able to make it, depending on exactly when you were thinking of doing it.

I'd love to suggest possible locations, but I do not have a better idea. I guess if there were way more people driving down from northern New England than from NY / CT, it might pay to move it further north, but you would know far better than I.

I know that I am busy on January 11&12, and on February 16, 22 and 23 (business + TotalCon)

Depending on the day, I may be able to attend. A 2 hour drive is barely more than some of my commutes.

So I was looking at my minis box yesterday and decide that it may be wise to get them done ! haha , like kid who want to cake and mother saying you will get another one when you finish the first one haha.

Anyway I though I just do an ongoing wip, self motivation ( well actually I am quite motivate to get those in shape ).

Primed couple minis so they are ready for paint ( minus the 2 Cmon one since I need to get some putty on those to cover the obvious seam du to the assembly ).

And I am going to start with those bad girls...actually Raging Heroes box I ordered , finally get onto glue all those parts , they are really super small ! Kinda like Wizkids size if not worse lol , well for those at last.

The darksword frogs are for a new scene / vignette but I will paint the figure first this time and worry about the vignette after :D..

Have to think about my color scheme for those lust elves now , I and I think I will get onto dark purple / blue tone for clothings and more pale skin / wolf grey kind of mix maybe for the skin..
This time since that's a set I will try to paint them in batch so I keep color somewhat homogeneous between them.

Well I guess I have a paint schedule for couple week coming :D...

      Hey everyone,

Having spent the last 4 weeks away from any sort of miniatures (Fun vacation tho!), I'm super eager to paint again, and with my return flight being tomorrow, I thought I'd make this thread as a sort of documentation/to-do list. I want to clear my backlog because I'll be frank I'm sick of staring at unpainted plastic every day and I want to do something remotely productive in these remaining four weeks I have free. I have mostly Warhammer miniatures, though there is some Mantic and Reaper stuff in there.

First of all to be done is this charming fellow.

A Stormcast chap who I first tested sculpting fur on, which I'm reasonably happy with. A closer look at the fur, which does look like guacamole in this picture.

Right now it's a standard basecoat and drybrush fur, but I will re-doing the fur and wet blend it to something like what this fellow has.

      Have a nice day!

Sounds like an interesting paint mixer. Not sure I'd get it myself, but some people on this forum might be interested...

I haven't seen this posted anywhere else on the boards and did not find anything by searching, but RealmSmith has posted an interview from GAMA on YouTube with Ron and Ed. If this has already been posted, please feel free to nuke this post with extreme prejudice. As YouTube is a commercial site, no link but searching RealmSmith and Reaper will get you there.

      Here are my notes:

Pathfinder Paints (!) - 56 new colors, Golarian specific colors, ETA October.

Learn to Paint kit expansions, 6 additional colors each and instructions, 4 expansion sets, ETA June or July.

Pathfinder Learn to Paint kit being worked on.

Ordered a reasonable amount of paints from an online store that carries Reaper here in Canada....  All of the other paints come across as normal, but this one....  Well, uhm...

I'm going to venture a guess it's a goner, or can it be saved?  There isn't even a liquid sound when shaking the bottle, just the sound of the agitator stuck in the bottom moving around somewhat.
