This is a sad story, kind of...

About 4 years ago I was just getting into Warhammer 40k and I was the Tau army... I decided to make a piece of terrain I could (justifiably) put in almost every scenario as a fall back point. The story behind it was that the Tau would drop it from orbit and would automatically provide cover and intel., etc. Its was only allow in large scale skirmishes - counting as points in my army. Worked great, I could fall back behind it and shoot through the one way windows and it had a drone that could detach from it and follow around if things got too harry.

Alas, I never finished it, what you see here is the last of it... I had to sell it... But I hope it inspires somebody!

Materials: A vitamin bottle, a cap to a pill bottle, top half of an antenna, a paper clip, sand, rocks, left over spurs, left over tau mech command antenna's, and Green Stuff.

I acutally carved out a Spur pole to fit and entire rack of guns. Above is a place for pistols.

Here is the War Map  and the concept I had in mind. To the right is a helmet. I actually took a Tau head and carved it out so it looked liked a Commander took his helmet off and placed it there. Took forever to carver it out!

Hi Arc 724;

Very interesting and unusual sci-fi piece! You were very creative in the thought concept and execution...also very clever common items usage. Thank you for sharing your " blast from the past ".

Too bad you had to sell it.

It is a nice little terrain piece with a nice little story.

I am not a fan of the one way window firing rule but if it worked for you and your group great.

It Cost me points to have but when I was pushed in a corner, it was worth it, i had far less troops than everyone else but that was the strategy: to push them into a false sense of security.

Thank you

I started a D&D campaign for my son and some of his friends, and using it as an excuse to acquire and paint some new minis. Here is my son's Tiefling sorcerer (sorceress?)The plan: We don't really like the "combat bikini" on this one, so I am going to attempt to add, well something to it. It won't be great, probably wont even look good, but hey I'm only trying to get better, so please comment, critique, advise, instruct, and what not.
Going with a light purple skin because its for a Tiefling character, and I think purple is an interesting color to paint. Turquoise colored garments as a complimentary color, and some yellow gold metal for some contrast.

And some color after the nip tuck. I went with blue for a base cause I'm guessing it will work better with the purple skin.
We decided to chop the staff and try for a glass orb for the arcane focus. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Finally to end the night with some Green stuff. I started with a "sheet" of it for the Front and Back panels. I'm going to try to add some detail tomorrow after this dries.
Overall I don't think the cloth is laying quite right, or the size is off. Either way I hope I can fix it in the next session.

Last on today's finished works, a selection of the Gellerpox Infected from the new 40k Kill Team boxed set, "Rogue Trader"

      The faction leader, Vulgrar Thricecursed.

The Nightmare Hulk that makes me think GW is just teasing us about Mordheim at this point:

Gnasher-Screamer, who would also make a great Hag.  She's got a built-in coven!

      The Gellerpox Mutants:

      The wee ones, the Glitchlings:

Presenting Ensign Roxy "Hotshot" Malone, the colour scheme test Voidsman for my Starstriders set.

I think she came out pretty well, and the group should look rather striking, when I eventually get the rest painted.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

Finally got around to take pictures of my Warhammer diorama.
I entered it into a local competition, and was lucky enough to win the Warhammer category. Thanks to everyone who wrote a comment in the WIP thread.

..Sorry for the overload of pictures!  -could'nt help myself..

Although on these pictures I can see many mistakes, I am quite happy with it.
Hope you enjoy it, and as always any comment, critiq or question is welcome.
