Rach Soldier any more?

Recommended Posts

Are you going to be making any new poses or more "50278: Rach Soldiers" it's a great figure, good armor, not to sure about the elf head but that can be fixed?

The "elf head" is because the Rach are an alien faction in Reaper's scifi CAV mech tabletop game. (Space elves driving 30-ft-tall combat mechs, how cool is that? lol)

It does have some really nice armor and gear, though, while still being generic enough to be useful for other games. I'd like to see them put out figures for a few more of the factions and I don't even play the game.

They are some sort of cat alien, aren't they?

I'd like to see more poses too, and females, if they have them.

Correct.  The Rach are feline evolved.

The Adon are space (high) elves.

Ah, I stand corrected. (Knew there were space elves in there somewhere...)

Now, if they'd just do an old-school-looking orc faction, we could have Pigs In SPAAAACE! ::D:

I would happily see any Rach or Adon on a space motorcycle.

I have always imagined the Rach to have been the result of a transporter mishap involving a Klingon and a jungle cat.  Inheriting all of the strengths of both creatures and none of the weaknesses.

I think a few more poses would be nice, too. It would make another group for the IMEF to fight against.

I thought that was the Kzin.

I would love some not-Kzin.

I don't know if it's purely on target, but there's 50259 "Mrrowl, Tigerian Merc" ( https://www.reapermini.com/miniatures/chronoscope/latest/50259 )

I picked up that fellow and painted him up for a Slipstream campaign (a pulpy retro-rayguns-and-rockets setting where there's at least a handful of "*-man" feline-ish races to pick from -- and two or three types of space-ape people, assorted reptilians, winged folk, alien people in an entire palette of designer colors, etc.).

For pulpy sci-fi, I can fairly easily upgrade a fantasy "beastman" type by painting up its sword to look like an "energy blade," and crafting a ray-gun for the off-hand, or else by doing a head-swap and adding a pinned wire tail on a more civilized figure, but "civilized beasties" like Mrrowl (evidently not just a cat head stuck on a human body) are much rarer to come by.  But then, any time there's a game setting that opens up the possibilities for "animal-folk," I have no hope of ever covering all the possibilities, so a bit of kit-bashing to satisfy player requests is inevitable.  ;)

I have one and a sprue of tentacles to turn into a tail (hopefully with one left over).

Edit: P03334D: 1 Pair Tentacles from 03334: Creature Components.

My eldest tried that a couple of years back. The tentacles look well, but we found them a bit on the large side for tail conversions. Do let us know how this goes.
