Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis, and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!

Conan the Barbarian (also known as Conan the Cimmerian) is a fictional sword and sorcery hero who originated in pulp fiction magazines and has since been adapted to books, comics, several films (including Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer), television programs (cartoon and live-action), video games, role-playing games and other media. The character was created by writer Robert E. Howard in 1932 via a series of fantasy stories published in Weird Tales magazine.

My goal was to paint him with the sun shining on his blood stained sword and sunburned skin.

Conan, You're such a character!

This model is 02529, Brand the Barbarian sculpted by Bobby Jackson.

77222: Aaron as Brind'Amour from R.A. Salvatore's The Crimson Shadow.

When he first meets Brind'Amour, the main character discribes him thus:

"He was old, old as Luthien's father at least, but he held himself straight and with a grace that impressed the young Bedwyr. His thick and flowing robes were a rich blue in color, and his hair and beard were white - snowy white, like Riverdancer's silken coat - and flowing about his shoulders."

I selected Aaron to represent Brind'Amour in his prime, before he entered the magical statsis that kept him alive before the events of the book. His hair is darker then the white it is when he meets Luthien but he is wearing his blue robes.

Reaper 80007 The Black Mist as comic book character "The Shadow".  I got the idea from The Shadow 1994 movie with Alec Baldwin, which I saw recently.  I have actually never read this comic.

I would like to enter my 77020: Bathalian as Prince John, from Disney's Robin Hood.

Because he is sucking his thumb.

I made a rough Ermine collar and backpiece in green stuff, together with a rudimentary crown. And that is about where my green stuffing skills come to an end. Need to practice, practice, practice.

I present Barbarian Princess Mononoke, the Gencon special edition mini with minor modifications to top of the wolf cloak and the skirt. Hubby took to calling her "Mononugke", after Princess Ugg

My camera, as usual, washed out my work on the white  -_- Feedback from judges would be appreciated.  ::):

Something pimpin' this way comes...

In 1977, Deadpool was lounging around his bachelor pad, perusing a periodical published by J. Jonah Jameson, when he spied an ad for the Heroes for Hire (Power Man and Iron Fist, they were famous in the 70s, kids). Realizing HE was a hero, and for hire, he endeavored to join them...much to their dismay. At one point in this torturous tale, the real Heroes for Hire go undercover dressed as stockboys. So DP, the Merc with a Mouth, decides to join them and dons an inconspicuous pimp outfit to blend in with the locals. It makes sense to Deadpool, anyway.

Light conversion of 50053: Sly Withers, Street Boss by Bobby Jackson. Sorry, Bobby.
